Would a floating screen like this fit on a Nissan 350z with on the double din in the bottom dash portion? My car is also manual so I'm curious if it covers the AC controls or will hit the shift knob.
This receiver can be installed so the bottom of the display is essentially level with the bottom of the radio's chassis. The screen can be installed so that none of it hangs below the installation location. We need to look at a few other factors to determine it can be installed. What year is your Nissan? Does it have the upgraded factory audio system in it?
It has a rear view camera input and a front view camera input but nothing specific to integrating with a dash cam. How are you hoping to use the dash cam in conjunction with your new radio?
Have the issues with the screens freezing, bad sound quality even with dsps , screen going black been fixed? There seem to be a lot of bad reviews regarding this?
We have not been experiencing any higher than average failures on Boss radios including this one and cannot find anything on Boss' site about recalls on it. The sound quality, when using an external DSP, is mostly controlled by the DSP. A better DSP would be needed to make improvements to the sound

I bought a 2009 VW New Beetle with this radio installed. It shows a backup camera on screen but there is no camera. Please tell me the camera I need to get for this. It says no connections.
@@crutchfield yes, it shows a backup camera but says no connection, the light over the license plate was down inside so I’m assuming whoever owned this vehicle took the camera out.

Since you do have to connect to the rear USB Input for Carplay, you'll have to remove the radio to access those inputs unless you ran a USB extension cable before installing the radio.

This radio is not marine grade and is not likely going to survive getting caught in a rain shower. Also, its floating screen is likely going to cover some of the gauges in the instrument cluster. Apple CarPlay constantly disconnects when I’m driving and will connect to Bluetooth audio then I have to disconnect Bluetooth audio and replug in for CarPlay and it goes back-and-forth. How do I fix this? I don’t need the Bluetooth just the Apple CarPlay. Can I use a wireless CarPlay adapter and plug that in instead of my phone
With any Carplay dropouts it is always a good idea to try a different or Apple-approved accessory cable to see if the dropouts cease. Let us know if it works!
I've had car 'stereo" items stolen before. INSURANCE says that it has to be "PERMANTLY MOUNTED" FOR THEM TO COVER THAT ITEM.. If you have a "removeable" screen, is that covered in your comprehensive policy??
Your insurance agent will have to check on that coverage option for you. Most folks would remove a detachable face as needed though to deter radio theft.
It does not have a sensor to detect the amount of light and change its brightness but it does have a dimmer wire that is designed to let the receiver know when the lights are turned on so it can dim when they are on.
How do you switch between Apple car play and blue tooth steaming? When I ty this I get a message "Disconnect car play".. Where and how as this seems to be a problem without unhooking the wired apple play connection???
The BOSS Audio BE9ACP does not have CD controls. If you have an add-on or portable CD player with stereo outputs though, you could use the rear A/V input to connect it for listening.

Are these compatible with MAESTRO RR2 for keeping steering wheel controls, factory amp in a 2011 Ford Escape with sync.
The Maestro ADS-MRR2 module will work with this Boss radio to install it and retain those steering wheel radio controls and the stock amp/speakers.

Splicing at the steering column is not required for this installation using the iDatalink harness.

It sounds like the radio's reverse wire, the wire used to tell it the vehicle is in reverse, is not connected to a proper trigger in the vehicle.

How many cameras did you want to use total? The Boss BE9ACP does have a rear A/V input (RCA) and a composite video backup camera input.

u cann add this, i did with carlink usb adapter and use both wireless CP and AA, its has it quirks but works fiarly well

Have you tried another certified cable? I know sometimes a short in the cable causes problems. I use a factory apple cable.

it does have night mode and you can set brightness epr schedule but id like to be able to turn the screen off as even with this its bright
