  • Will the deactivation of the MKV Toyota GR Supra's Active Sound Design (ASD) result in a noticeable difference in engine / exhaust sound pumped into the cabin our our Supra project car via the speakers? I'll take you through how-to disable the Supra ASD using BIMMERCODE. Using before and after sound clips we'll see - HEAR if there is a noticeable change in fake engine noise pumped into the cabin via the speakers! Would you disable the ASD in your Toyota GR Supra? This video will guide you through the how-to use Bimmercode for the MKV Toyota Supra! Looking to customize your Toyota Supra, adjusting specific features such as the Supra's auto start stop, screen brightness, side mirror tilt angle, disabling the active sound design (fake cabin engine sound), adding Sports +, door unlock lock chime, as well as a bunch of other Bimmercode coding features that can be coded using Bimmercode. SUBSCRIBE TODAY...We'll be reviewing GR Supra modifications, walking through how-tos, mod installs, taking the car to the dyno to test horsepower and torque, testing the Toyota Supra's 0-60mph and 1/4 mile acceleration, and finding out if the most popular Supra car modifications such as an air intake, exhaust, downpipe, ecu tune (ECUTEK, MHD, BM3), etc. really does add the horsepower car performance part manufacturers claim!?! We'll be using our 2023 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium project car as our test Supra to test all of our Supra modifications.

    I disabled ASD immediately because that's what I did on my previous car. Recently, I've been wanting more sound in the cabin. The stock exhaust sounds great as is and didn't really want to have to go the route of a DP or catback. I can totally tell a difference just in your video and it's got me wanting to re-enable ASD. I'm actually excited that I don't need to drop $1400-$2500 to achieve what I feel I've been missing.

  • @stevenpipitone4401
    @stevenpipitone4401 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I had a Toyota Supra and it ASD was only really engaged when it was in sport mode, you couldn’t hear it in normal mode. That being said I hated it, it sounded way to high pitch and sounded electronic. I have a 2021 M3 and that car sounds way more natural when it’s activated , BMW must have done a better job with there sound tuning this time around because it does sound more natural and it’s only really noticeable in track mode. The Supra was a fantastic looking and sting car, I had two issues with it, I kept hitting my head if I didn’t pay attention getting in and out of it ( I’m 6ft ) and it was very hard to see out of when you were seated, it reminded me of the Camaro in that regard. The M3 was way more comfortable and still had great handling and tremendous speed, so for me it was an easier choice. Just an FYI BMW’s do without a doubt make one the smoothest and best sounding boosted 6 cylinder engines in the world, there so smooth and free revving and have a fantastic exhaust sound stock. The Supra actually has a better exhaust sound then the M3 by a pretty big margin, I think it’s because the exhaust only has to go through one turbo rather than two, so it does have a very natural NA sound to it, the M3 definitely has more of a lower muted exhaust note but man does that car have unrelenting power!! Great video and enjoy your car!!!

    Hi lemon factor, now that you have had your Supra for a few months, are you happy with the decision you made to buy the 2023 Supra? I am asking because I am being told that mine should arrive in the next few weeks and with the market downturn, I am wondering if the prices of these will drop soon, even though they don’t make a lot of them, 60k is still a lot for a car. Please share your thoughts if you don’t mind???

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am happy with the Supra (9 out of 10)! I wish opening up the ECU for tuning wasn't so expensive! The car market is in a downturn, hitting some cars harder than others and in certain areas of the country. Do I think the Supra will be impacted? Yes, but probably not too hard - I have seen used Supra prices dropping. With that said, I certainly wouldn't pay over MSRP for a new Supra. I guess it would depend on whether you plan on keeping the car longer term (i.e. 4+ yrs), or not.

    • @joeyn7399
      @joeyn7399 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheLemonFactor thank you so much for the reply. I agree with everything you are saying. My goal is to keep the car between 3 and 5 years as there is not much else out right now that I like more. No, it's a sign that we have a democrat president. Let's get back to common sense approaches to climate with gradual decreases in emissions. Hybrids are key to doing this, not a mad rush to 100% EVs.

    Soooo much better off.
    If you want good sound... just put an AWE touring exhaust on that thing.

    The difference is night and day. Now especially that I know that sound I was hearing is fake, I don't think I would enjoy hearing it.

    Drives me mad. My Supra was £59000 and it’s as fake as the girls today. I’m not happy at all. Th Ed car is great but this pisses me off . Can’t even legally really mod the exhaust. 🤦🏻🤷🏻💭💭💭

      I like that word, it’s very fitting… “drama”. 😁
