Yo! Thanks for the shout-out. Your truggy came out awesome. The body looks amazing. I'm surprised at how good that colour looks. Honestly, I wouldn't have thought it would look as good as it does. You are going to love the 4s backflips. They handle great, but they also give you great control in the air. It's crazy that the SSTE has been around for 7 years. Such a great machine on 4s. I run the Redline HV batteries in the SSTE and 4s is perfect for it. As you know, this is a light truck. And 4s just keeps it where it should be. :) Cheers! And enjoy this beast.
Hey Jason , Been a quite follower of you channel for some time , So quite honored your here buddy . Ah So glad you think so buddy , Yeah the body i think looks so clean , i was on the fence even when i came home with the paint , but flew caution to the wind and though well if it comes out bad ill just replace the body , glad i stuck with it . Yeah the build and backflips were definitely a idea i got from you . i have them on my outcast 4s and love the way they grip up , and as you say really do help with air control . Yeah the SSTE even though been out for a while sure does still have it in my opinion , My happy place sure is 4s , and was looking for a race inspired look and build but keeping the costs to a minimal . I think this is it ? As i said love your channel buddy , and also ive been watching your videos on the Mojave as its a truck i want to pick up myself . Looks a strong and fun truck for sure , i have the 6s but thinking of swapping it out for the more nimble 4s. Keep up the great work Stay awesome Chris :)
Hey buddy , Massive thanks for watching . Yeah im really happy with how its come out . A load of us are heading to my local bash spot for a rip tomorrow and let her Eat !!!! Stay awesome Chris :)
Hey buddy , Thanks so much for watching , Yeah i got to say i very much agree with you so underated the design is a older one but wow they really made it a tough truck . Yeah planning running only on 4s and have a good motor to run it with a 20t pinion . So plenty of speed and power . Cant wait to get it out Stay awesome Chris :)
It looks really cool. l like the original colour cannot wait to see it on a run looks fantastic the mud flaps are fantastic if you ever run on cut grass 😁😎✌️
Hey Joe , Hope all is well with you dude . Yeah the colour really pops dont it in a understated way , Classy with a Captial C ! Yeah the mud flaps are awesome if you search Big Foot Customs on Facebook and speak to Ben Davies im sure he can make them for your trucks . Stay awesome buddy Chris :)
@ChriswithaCrc No worries, Chris A.Ok, did you use core-rc paint or tamiya just a question, bro. Thinking of that colour on a future rc.car project. 👍✌️
Wow that looks like an amazing RC Chris! Love the classy look you have gone for with the body 👍👍 Shame about the weather stopping play but hope you can get out soon. Nice overview vid. Best wishes mate 😁👍👍
Hey there Pete , Long time no speak buddy , Hope that your ok . Yeah the look of it really its spot on hey glad you think so . Yeah the weather was a bit of a bummer but we managed to get out for a first run this weekend so ive got a video incoming as we speak . Thanks for watching also really does mean alot . Stay awesome Chris :)
Looking great buddy. I feel your pain with the weather. I’m still waiting to get the Xmaxx out! Catch up soon. I will update you on the Xmaxx basher build!!
Hey Paul , Yeah the weather has been horrid hasn't it . Ah man still no joy getting the Xmaxx out ? . Would love to catch up soon buddy defo interested in a meet . Yeah that would be great let me know how your getting on with the Xmaxx Stay awesome Chris :)
@@ChriswithaCrc Uprated servo being fitted this weekend with a stronger spring and Uprated servo horn. Then ready to blast!! Would love to get the Xmaxx on that beach you go to
@@ChriswithaCrc A front bumper is a must have imo... Will eliminate chances of front end damage by 99% If it fits, Use it, I think you would be able to get an Arrma Mojave 6s or 4s bumper to fit it with a bit of dremel work. I'm a huge Hobao fan mate and have 3 of them all of which are Frankenstein builds. They are to me the most durable cars I own. A bit harder to get hold of here in Australia. Only an owner of one knows the durability and power you can get out of them. Fantastic build mate. 👍⚡
This looks epic mate. Love the colour will definitely be doing a new body for next summer with that colour! Great choice on electronics too. These are great fun and the backflips work great. Looking forward to seeing the running vid! 😎💯👍
Hey there Ricky , Hope that your good buddy . Yeah looks great dont it , Well i think so ! Oh new body for yours yeah what you thinking ???? . As for the electronics well the good thing is that i managed to get out this weekend with a few friends of mine and the verdict is amazing , so video in coming thanks for showing us all how good these really are ! Would love to meet up in the future if your up for it and give them a blast together . Stay awesome and keep up the good work . Chris :)
I'm really enjoying your videos, Chris, very nice talk and run-through of your cars! I don't manage to watch all videos, but the ones where I am interested in the car, you really provide some of the best deep insight! I am indeed considering getting this Hobao model, so it was very useful for me to watch. Looking forward to see you getting it out for a run, I can follow you with the crap weather, here in Finland it is probably even worse, we got frost and snow mixed in with the nasty rain and darkness, proper depression weather... Good thing we got an expensive hobby and some great TH-cam community to kill time with, ha ha!
Hey there Mads ! , Massive Hello from South wales UK , So pleased you are enjoying the videos means so much to me . Wow thanks so much for the kind words buddy , Yeah the SSTE is awesome built Truggy really does have a racing feel to it and they use these for racing all around the world , very underated for sure . Im not one to follow trends like other channels , i get what i like ! Geez that weather does sound brutal buddy for sure , Lucky we have these trucks to keep our minds busy and awesome videos from people like minded to us . Again thanks for stopping by buddy , Stay awesome Chris :)
Hahahahahahaha , i can always depend on your comments to cheer me up thats for sure . Well i got to be honest i really hope that i dont bend anything just yet ! Time to set up pontypandyfest 24 i think lol Stay awesome buddy Chris :)
Hey buddy , thanks for watching really does mean a lot . I got to say I’m over the moon with mine at present very very capable and fast . Also the build quality is extremely good for the price . Are you thinking of picking one up yourself? Stay awesome buddy Chris 🤙👊🚀🏴👌💪👍🏆
Great truck bu I have had two SSTE and the weakest point on these is the rear chassis brace. It's too soft and you'll bend your chassis very quickly. You'll have to upgrade this brace.
Hey buddy yes totally agree , so damn good for sure , I’ve already upgraded all the braces and towers with some tasty Cogan billet pieces , have a video up on the channel if you want to look . Stay awesome Chris 🤙
@@ChriswithaCrc I saw your video after writing this comment! 😅 I just ordered a 7075 chassis for mine, can't wait to put this on. Maybe my next upgrade will be the shock towers. Cheers! 🙂👍
Hobao make some of the best RCs out there.!! Shame about parts supply, I've been waiting months for a diff input for my awesome SC8.... It'll be all the sweeter when I get her ripping again though.!! 👍 👍 👍 SSOT&BWFS 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️
Hello mate. I have one question. I wonder which one to buy, and I see that you have both. Outcast 4s or Hobao Hyper SSTE? Which do you think is stronger for bashing, which gives you more pleasure to drive? I am left with the impression that Hobao is stronger and easier to ride.. what is your opinion about the two models
Hey there buddy , Massive thanks for watching the videos . Right for me right now i love them both ( Yes that seems the easy answer i know ) , But what i mean about this is there two quite different experiences . The outcast v2 4s is wild and a stunt truck keeps you on your toes ! , But the steering is wide and not strong . but great fun for general bashing . The SSTe is a race truggy through and through , sharp , nimble , fast and predictable and great fun for ground bashing ! if i had to pick from one or the other right now i would take the SSTE as you can still jump it , but also chase 6s trucks and pass them with ease on the ground . Hope that this helps you Stay awesome , Chris :)
