  • Join me on this awesome experience of “building up” my first roller. The epic HoBao hyper SS cage truggy.
    I’ve only ever bought RTR’s in the last 20 years so this is a new experience for me.
    Lennox and I start our journey by going to wheelspin models and buying the truggy in person, then we head home to begin the build.
    I do an unboxing of all the components and explain why I picked the things i did, then i get them all fit in , do an esc calibration, and even use a program card.
    I also show you how I fit the tyres and foams ( probably the wrong way haha )
    I hope you can find as much enjoyment and maybe some information in this as we did , we totally enjoyed the process and will look forward to doing more.
    thanks for watching

    Great video buddy , as you know I’m a massive Hobao fan myself and this and the SSTE are my favourite of the bunch .
    Some cracking components you added also !
    Fair shout that motor is a monster 👺 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
    Keep up the great work and looking forward to some running footage of this little beast
    Stay awesome

      Thanks man. I actually really enjoyed putting this together and I REALLY enjoy driving it.
      It’s definitely my favourite at the moment. I’ve had it out for a few runs now so will have a running video of it done by Friday hopefully.

      Nitros will always be at the heart of my Rc addiction. Never say never , one might return one day soon.

    nice vid bro, you can buy a specific cable to connect standard sensor connectors to the hobbywing wp sensor connectors, so you can use it sensored and it will be waaaaaaay smooth power delivery

      Little tip I've been told,
      With sensorless, put the middle wire from esc to middle wire of the motor, the outer 2 can be switched to change motor direction (just like you did with the programme card)

      That’s a great tip mate. Thanks for that. Thanks for watching

    The throttle reverse switch is the cause of all your throttle woes.
    Set it to normal and change your motor rotation direction in settings

    If you can find one. Buy a Teknk MT410 V1 build not the 2.0. Its a tank. I have one that I run on 8s and mind you its considered a 1/10😂. Just a beast of a rc

    • @craigs-crash-n-bash
      @craigs-crash-n-bash  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I will look out for one of them. 8s in a 1/10 must be crazy haha

    • @jhawk1985
      @jhawk1985 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They call it a 1/10 but its closer to a 1/9 or 1/8 and yes its crazy on 8s 😂 . The reason its so tough is that it used 8th scale diffs and over sized axles and gears. Ive owned it 6 yrs and never broke anything except and tie rod end.

    hi, with your motor brake, did you try swapping a motor wire then flipping the reverse switch back on the controller?

    • @craigs-crash-n-bash
      @craigs-crash-n-bash  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I flipped the switch on the controller back to the original position. Then reversed the motor with the program card. But the same can be achieved by swapping 2 motor wires, I just wanted the colours on the esc to match the motor plugs lol

    Hi, I'm considering getting one of these soon and just doing a but of research before I take the plunge. Have you had any breakages or spotted any weak points, Are there upgrade parts out available?

    • @craigs-crash-n-bash
      @craigs-crash-n-bash  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your comment, they are very good and it takes a good amount of abuse to be fair , if you check my other videos and shorts you will see I’ve give this some hell, and only broken a shock cap , that are very cheap to replace. They do have upgraded parts available too
