I had drive shaft issues on my hobao monster truck. Contacted them by FB and they responded immediately and sent the parts to me immediately for free by FedEx. Amazing service. Truck has been great for me for 4 years!!
@@michaelinzitari when the engine of my vs2 failed, they sent me a new one without asking any questions. Ibwas impressed by the service, but this time around with the MT, they never responded to me, either by email or facebook. Not sure whats going on.
Nice video man...Honest as well...I wish they would offer Monster trucks in Kit form for us basher guys who would like to build their own and supply our own engines and electronics...would be so awesome if that was a normal thing. I have been eyeing this or a savage x 4.6 but idk lol...we will see which I end up with I suppose. The truck looks solid like you said. Looks super clean and nicely built, other than the fact that the trans messed up on you. Hopefully that was just a fluke thing but it is a shame that HOBAO did not respond or reach back out to you. Even if they didnt replace anything for you it would atleast be nice to be able to communicate your issues.
Thanks man! Yeah, I agree a kit would be nice, it's a shame buying one of these and throwing away parts because they are of mediocre quality, like all their electronics. And yeah, sold truck for sure, too bad Hobao's customer service seems to have disappeared here in the US. Nevertheless, I'm happy with the truck, it's definitely fun!
@@bustednutsrcI am kind of in same boat...I am debating this or a savage and looks like either truck your gonna have go dump money right off the RIP lol
@kentuckyrc2142 the savage seems like a solid truck, but I do remember someone complaining about the electronics. So yeah, you're right, regardless of which one you go with, you'll most likely have to do some upgrades right off the bat to enjoy the damn thing 🤣
@ can’t wait to see more videos of this truck don’t get me wrong I used to have similar issues with the tuning like you but I spoke to another rc TH-camr who has this truck as well told me that ever since he richened the low speed it worked out well for him and I tried it on mine so far no issues.
I was really liking this and was excited to see your video, great job n thanks! But after hearing all the set backs and lack of customer support. I think i might go with the Losi 8ight Truggy. What do you think? Or recommend? Thank You 🤟
@chopers49 Thank you, and I'm glad you found the video helpful. The Hobao MT is great, but having to throw away the electronics right away and having other issues and on top of that ZERO customer service kinda makes this a bad choice, unless you are prepared to spend extra money. Now, the Losi 8ight truggy is a phenomenal platform in my opinion, fast, agile, easy to tune... I'd say go for it!
@AlexandreLavoie-tx5hb Initially, I thought of using my Nova T6R in it, but I see Force released a new .28 so I might buy that, review it and test it on the MT
You are right, not a lot of smoke however its harder to see on the video compared to real life. I ran it slightly on the lean side, the turbo .30 engine is extremely finicky to tune (at least in my experience) and this tune it had during the video was literally the only way it ran properly and revved up enough to shift into 2nd gear. Good eye though. More videos coming in the coming days!
@RickyD1968 I had a great experience in the past, but this time around I contacted them by phone (number doesn't work) by email (no response) and through Facebook (again no response).

_What is your current favorite RC for bashing?_
_When you get time off to go out and RC... what is your GO TO vehicle??!_
@@SOMNIOHM thats a good question! I really enjoy bashing the WR8 and the Hyper MT. Though I also love truggies, for bashing I have an old RC8B3.2

To avoid it from going lean quiet often I found it runs a lot better when I leave the low speed a little on richer side I’ve had no issues since then

The Truck looks Awesome but the Radio looks very cheap !!!!!!!!
@RickyD1968 The radio is indeed cheap, first thing I got rid off. Along with the servos.
