    I had a small patch in the back of my head when I went into menopause at 48 years old. I started taking biotin 20,000 mg everyday along with collagen powder. My hair came back thick. Yes all The stuff works great video!!!

      Be careful when taking such a high dose of Biotin. It can affect your thyroid. This happened to me!

      I wish I could do that. Every time I start taking biotin it messes with my hormones and I start getting hot flashes etc. 😢 I do use collagen, eat super good foods for my hair and use rogaine but over time I’m getting thinner. I’m trying a wig out now.

      Do you mind sharing which exact brand of Biotin you’re taking? I have some but it doesn’t agree with my Crohn’s. I’d like to take as few pills as possible, or do you get it in powdered form? I’m not well versed on Biotin, obviously. Thank you in advance!!! ☺️

    I'm post-menopause (was forced into menopause after my breast cancer surgeries). Starting a couple of years ago, I started washing my hair twice/week instead of every other day. I grew my hair out and quit coloring altogether. My hair is more of a pepper with salt in color, thicker and healthier. I've been told that I look younger and can't tell you how many people compliment me on how pretty my hair is, including men, but especially hair dressers.
    I have also recently got a Keratin treatment, and it helped all those little whispies on top of my head to lay down.

      I quit coloring my hair over two years ago. My hair is a neutral brown and it looks like I’ve put silver highlights in through it. It’s actually very pretty and I’m getting tons of compliments I don’t was everyday and I eat really well.

    I’m back on TH-cam after a 5 year break (new husband, life, etc) and I’m SO glad you’re still here! Thank you for doing this video…I needed it BAD. I had 4 surgeries in 15 months after a bad car accident and also had COVID 4 times right after that, so my beautiful long hair fell out in clumps. 😢😢😢 I ended up having to get hair extensions. My hair looks amazing now but it is costing me an arm and a leg (wish we could post pics with comments). I want to eventually take them out and grow my own hair back, so I’ll start this routine NOW to get ahead of the game. You look AMAZING Melissa! I can’t wait to binge all the videos I’ve missed! 💕💕💕

    I’ve been using the iRestore and it’s definitely made a difference. I’ve noticed far less hair fall in the shower. I have a hair catcher in my shower which I empty after every wash and there’s less than half the hair left behind that there used to be. I don’t heat style my hair, but I do blow it to about 80-90% dry on medium with my Shark blow dryer. I’ve also quit wearing it in a messy bun every day. Quit dry shampoo. Quit going to bed with wet hair (in a bun, no less!) I’m 55 this month and went through menopause at 40. Never had an issue with hair loss until 50. The iRestore is an investment, but it’s been working great so far.

    *Sulfate free, Shower Filter, Rosemary, Leave In Conditioner, Supplements* . Turning 50 didn't bother me but when the hair fall out happened I got very depressed. Dietary changes and adding supplements came first. I had been using volumizing shampoo formulas for years under very hard water conditions. My hair was dry, dull and brittle. Getting a shower filter and switching to sulfate free products was helpful. I like to wear my hair wavy and silicone heavy products weighed my hair down. I switched to JVN with hemi-squalene, huge improvement for me. I just purchased the scalp tonic you recommended, I was using rosemary tea prior to that with good success until I fell off wagon. New year, new routine.

    Hi Melissa ❤I also suffer from hair loss also gets extremely dry in the winter. Lately I tried using Castor Oil, I put it on my scalp leave on for a few hours covered. I then wash my hair 3 times use a conditioner and a leave in conditioner. I am amazed how my hair not only is not falling out like it was it feels so much thicker. You might want to check out the benefits also not a costly product . Should be organic. Tons of videos out there.

    I ended up going to a dermatologist. I'm on Minoxidol 5% and Dutasteride. I believe it's helping. I feel like I waited too long to go to the Dr. The dermatologist said don't wait on hair loss. Best to treat it right away and not wait. Get blood work done, because there are a lot of reasons for hair loss. Thanks for the video!.

    I have female pattern hair loss. I use minoxidil and other products. What made a big difference for me is Majestic Pure Avacodo Hair mask. It contains biotin. I have short curly-ish hair so I use it as a leave in each night. I put it in early in the evening so it has time to dry. I also love the Glaze color conditioner! It has helped me stretch my need to color my hair! Thank you!

    I’ve been having hair issues. I’m 54. I also had multiple back surgeries a couple years ago after suffering from severe back pain. And I’ve lost A LOT of weight. All those things combined with menopause made my normally thick hair suffer. I chopped mine as well and feel like that helped. It’s so fun getting old. 😅

    Hi Melissa, you look great today and I hope you feel just as well as you look. Thank you for so many tips and products to help me with my hair. I can not take anything with biotin because it counteracts the thyroid medication I have to take. I don't have one because of thyroid cancer but looking very closely I didn't see biotin in the products you showed. Of course I can still check it out on Amazon. Your hair looks so beautiful and long. I just love the color. Thank you for a wonderful video and take care and be well. We love you too Melissa.🥰❤💜💜💜❣🌹💐

    Been enjoying this last 6 months or so with your hair journey. I love the darker color on you & it’s sooo shiny & healthy looking~ Much ❤ from SE Missouri 😚💋💄👏🏻 PS I started MEAN-O-pause 😅🙄 at 49 I’m 52 now. About a year ago I went back to my dark brown, soooo much cheaper b/c I can do my own all over color. But for the 6 yrs prior to that I wasn’t completely blonde as u were, but I had heavy highlights in it. Sometimes I miss it, it was easier to disguise the silver/grays, but it 💯 messes with the hair shaft/cuticle over time and then products and heat styling on top of that-is a recipe for disaster. I’m lucky tho I’ve lost a lot of volume over the years, but I babied my hair for a solid year and a half, between early summer of ‘21, until late Dec of ‘22. Now I’m proud to say it’s just about at it’s best rn, plus I’m saving my coin. And in this economy that’s important for a lot of us. Thx for the video Melissa! 👏🏻💄💋❤️

    I had a brain bleed almost two years ago. Drs. were afraid to run CTs with Contrast due to a suspected allergy. Didn't find out til the 2nd day of excruciatingly painful, sudden "thunderclap" headaches that I could have been pre-treated with Benadryl, Prednisone and Atarax to get through the Contrast exposure. So, went through THREE head CTs - the strongest doses of non-treatment radiation - at 2 different hospitals - AND a full panoramic x-ray series of my jaw, sinuses and teeth - all of this within a 48-hour period. Menopause had already taken a toll on my babyfine, thin hair. Radiation is a b***h. I wear hats now. Docs say no new supplements or dietary changes until they figure out what's going on with my gut health (or lack thereof). Was scheduled for colonoscopy and upper GI studies for the week after the brain bleed; of course, all that got pushed off. I'm now rescheduled for these procedures in a month; more unavoidable stress to my system. Melissa, you are so brave doing these videos. I hide from meeting new people, and old (former) friends don't understand why I avoid being seen. Hats. And careful makeup - largely due to your influence. Thank you most sincerely for everything you do. You dont know how many of your videos I've saved and rewatched.

      It’s important to get to a dermatologist when you have hair loss. It could be frontal fibrosing alopecia, and needs to be treated right away. It is what is called scarring and will not grow back so must be stopped with treatment.

    I love your curtain bangs, Melissa! Thanks for sharing your products. I see that one product states on the lable it contains wild fish.....I have a severe fish allergy, this is why I steer clear of hair vitamins and and topicals, they usually contain fish derivatives. You are correct, healthy hair starts as in inside job and our diets and nutrition is key. Avocados are great dietary DHT blockers and I include them often. With my seafood allergy & vegetarian diet (I have been vegetarian, NOT vegan, for 35 years) getting omega 3s has been difficult. I recently started drinking Good Karma Flax Milk + Protein which is rich in omega 3s from flax seed. Also heart healthy. I am sharing this for others who may have seafood allergy or be vegetarian 🙂

    My thyroid caused me to loose half my eyebrows and thinning in front crown. Thankful it stopped when meds kicked in but hair never came back. Menopause did a number on my already dry skin! It’s even dryer, thinning and a constant struggle to hydrate. My goal in 2024 is more water intake!!! I have to use heavy moisturizers like Eucerin on body. I use Loreal cream moisturizers and gentle cetaphil cleanser on face (able to coupon at CVS and get them at a better price.)

    Does the dht shampoo fade your hair color? Is it effective if you only use it once a week? I am in my perimenopausal phase and my hair is definitely taking the hit. I already do some of the things you mentioned, but want to incorporate more.

    • @MrsMelissaM
      @MrsMelissaM  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Carey, I haven't noticed it fading my color at all & as you know, I've gone darker with my hair. So no problems for me on that front. As far as only using it once a week, I'm sure you would see some benefits, but what I do is mix it with my regular volumizing shampoo. That way I still get the benefits of both. I hope that helps.

      I don't agree with the comment below that hair is hair. Absolutely not true. Not everyone can follow the same external processes. As for the products she recommends taking internally, that's different. The vitamins, collagen, silica are recommended across the board to work inside out. Best of luck!!

    • @MrsMelissaM
      @MrsMelissaM  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The basic makeup of hair is the same. The internal supplements work great for everyone. As for the topical hair growth, it's great for all hair types. The device/massager will work for everyone because it stimulates the follicles & and scalp.
