I have combination skin and I’m over 60. When I tried not cleansing in the mornings, I got breakouts- even when I didn’t apply a thick occlusive overnight.

I choose to wear clothes for the sun and a big hat....but I guess that is optional.......many blessings.....You are looking great...I pray you and your son continue been well.....hugs...............MINDY I use Skinn products for exfoliation and it is great.......
I had a severe issue with hair loss after having had covid.... the gift that keeps on giving...lol I went down the rabbit hole looking for anything that would work to regrow my hair and I started taking these supplements. I will say it worked phenomenally well. I have nearly no hair loss at all now. Here is what I was taking. 1. Complete Omega, Lemon Flavor - 16 oz - 1270 mg Omega-3 - EPA & DHA with Added GLA - Healthy Skin & Joints, Cognition, Positive Mood - Non-GMO - 96 Servings 2.NOW Saw palmetto berries 3. iron....an extremely low dose 4. Spirulina 100% pure organic 5. Biotin and Keratin mix I started this 2 years ago and currently I only take the Omega and Saw Palmetto. I also take a Colligan peptide powder plus I use hair strengthening shampoo. I don't use conditioners because I lose some hair every single time I do, I have no idea why. So, I use a leave in conditioner instead. Works great.
I always followed that I didn’t to wash in the morning at this age. But you being up g good points. I spend so much in my morning skincare but off the night isn’t off, I’m wasting my money. Especially with the vitamin C. Thanks for the guidance.
Yes, me too! I’m 66 and my skin is SO dry so all my night skincare penetrates. I’ve followed aged influencers for some years now and as you age with dry skin you don’t cleanse in the AM bc you wash the naturals oils that are good for your skin off that helps with your dry skin. Hope that makes sense😆 Now I’m rethinking 🤔 Thanks Melissa❤
One of the points I heard recently is think of what's on your pillow case. If you're not changing it every single night, your face is getting dirty. And we do have 8 hours of oxidative stress even at nighttime. Just food for thought. But I definitely say do what works best for you.
Melissa u look fantastic makeup jewellery and that stunning black top Fortunately I do all your skin care rules Haven't been able to purchase the SPF powder yet but use sunscreen 7 days a week come rain or shine!

Beautiful look again. Thanks for the tips and tricks. I checked but several products aren't available here in Canada and cannot be shipped to Canada. Will look at the ingredients to see if I can find an alternative here.
Glad you brought that up about not washing your face in the morning because I heard that from another TH-camr and started just rinsing my face with water in the morning, but now I know 😊
I love the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser. I definitely notice the benefits of hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid and the lactic acid, plus it's extremely gentle exfoliation, with potato starch. This has been one of my favorite cleansers for years. I also use the Dermelect Sleep Serum at night when I use a different cleanser. I love your recommendations, Melissa. You're very thorough with your details. Keep up the great work you do for your subscribers. ❤ ya, Kimber~Your Austin, Texas Sister in Beauty and Faith 🥰 🙏
I am finding that I have to use some sort of physical exfolliant, to get the peeling skin off my face from my retinol and chemical exfolliators or I'll have my foundation/skin tint just stick to those areas. I like the tatcha powder rice polish for sensitive skin (and the Toney Moley one just like it)
I listened to a dermatologist advice about not washing my face in the morning, and all it did was gross me out and break me out. So, I'm glad you mentioned this. Your skin looks gorgeous, what you're doing is really working! ❤

I just love you Melissa! You look especially radiant today! Thank you for this. I used a collagen powder(tasteless)recommended by 2 of my doctors. It hasnt helped my nails but iron issues are hard!
Great recommendations, Melissa! I have used a physical exfoliant for decades. I credit the condition of my skin at 66 to this practice. My mom used a Terry face cloth and bar soap on her face and had flawless skin. Your hair looks stunning…. styling tutorial next, please?
I have oily skin and sometimes the only thing that makes me feel clean is a physical scrub--very fine grit and only maybe once or twice a month but it's so satisfying!
Great video Melissa talking about skincare, I’m a skincare junkie Lol 😂 and I’m always trying out different products and brands, I absolutely love the Photozyme DNA repair serum that Penne has spoken about on her channel, I must of gone through two bottles of it so far and noticed a difference in my skin when I wasn’t using it, once I started back incorporating it into my morning and evening routine, my skin loves me for it, it’s a standout product that I would highly recommend all mature beauties to incorporate into their daily skincare routine, I also love Calecim multi action cream, it’s a cream texture but is an actual serum, I have noticed a big difference in my neck from this product, I apply it after my Essence, I’m like you, I have to cleanse morning and double cleansing at night. Hope you’re having a Great Weekend and have a Great Week ahead. Cheers from Nellie xoxo 💜💜🌸🌸🇦🇺

I personally think we need serums that are seperate from our moisturizer. That way we get maximum benefits from the thinner formulas penetrating better.

If anyone is on medications , you should check with your doctor before taking any supplements. Some supplements even though they are good for us can interfere with some medications .
I use a retinal instead of retinol a retinal cream/serum is less harsh on the skin and has less side effects always start retinal/retinol with the lowest dose and build it up over time as your skin gets used to it never start on a high dose as this could cause inflammation which will affect your skin barrier.
