Mrs M~you look absolutely amazing ❤❤. I love you that you speak on mature skin. Everyone on tic toc and most influencers are about 20 yrs old and know nothing about Mature Skin. I love your videos. Thank you!!
Yes please to an updated skincare regime Melissa 😊 You were the influencer that got me on to essences and I love love love them and they’re making such a difference with the plumpness of my skin. You’re really looking fab Melissa and I adore your channel ❤
I've been using the Japanese urea essence for about ten days now. I can tell it's helping. Do you find it tightens the skin? My skin feels tighter! How often do you reapply the spf when it's a part o your makeup? I never used it with my makeup before but I know makeup comes off just like the spf but trying to reapply it can be hard if you can't get the foundation reapplied. Thoughts? Thanks!!!!
Loved this video! And I’m thinking, we need an updated skin care routine using all these wonderful products! Then “boom” you just said it! Can’t wait! Hugs 💋
I agree, those are the power house items for good skin care. It doesn’t have to be expensive products. The Ordinary, Timeless brands are part of my routine. ❤❤
My skin has changed since I saw a skincare video from you. I slowly started adding the ingredients you recommended. What I saw and felt for the first time was hydrated skin. Not just soft from an oil or moisturizer but hydrated from within. Much has happened in my life to cause change in the last 7 years. Quitting smoking in 2019 was the biggest! I never listened to how damaging cigarettes can be to the skin! Another thing I added was using Red and NIR lights, I have two panels that cover my whole body. I think I look at least 5 years younger, maybe more! Everything is accumulative, just be consistent and patient. It also helped to just listen to other people's journey, it was very encouraging. Thank you, Melissa, your videos are always timely, informative and you are so kind 💖
* update: I just watched your entire video, I feel like I did pretty good, and I hope you can see I"ve been learning so much from you. (oops I forgot copper peptides). Anyway- excited that you will be doing more skincare. I really like this focus, and have purchased several items because of your videos, so thank you !!!!
Always interested in skin care reviews and recommendations Mrs. M! I continuously change things up. I think that’s what keeps me consistent in my routine. A high level of interest in ingredients more so over brand. I always use a vitamin C serum (and take a high dose of vitamin C as part of my supplements) in the morning. Love the Naturium 1% Retinaldehyde at night. Big fan of peptides. And I mix it up by layering other essences, serums, moisturizers, many of which you have recommended. I am not a big fan of Hyaluronic acids, though. Mixed in with other ingredients is fine, but despite what “they” say, I live in a climate with a lot of precipitation and for some reason high concentrations of Hyaluronic acid dries my “normal” skin out. I prefer products with Beta Glucan instead.
Oh, how our skin changes. I started .05 Tretoin for over a year then went to .1 Tretoin for about 18 months until it started to bother my skin. Nothing changed in my routines it was strange but my skin changed, I had to go back to .05 Tretoin
❤ Great video🎉. You look radiant, skin care takes time. You really gave us a great list of the products we need. 💖 Love that color of blue on you,so pretty, Ty Melissa. ‼️P.S. It would be great to see another tutorial using yhese products,( a.m. skincare and a p.m. skin care)‼️❤️ Question, do you use the copper peptides a.m. and p.m. after the essence ⁉️🙏🌷
Hi Melissa, I got the very first product you showed when I saw it in one of your previous videos and love it. My main skin care is Trifecta by Dr. Karam and I really love it very much. I also have Vit.C that I like. I have enjoyed this video Melissa. Hope you are feeling well and we love you too.❤🌹💐
Great info! Using it all but copper and niacidimide (sp) so need to give that a try. I struggle with most of the acid based peels and retinol because of dryness but still use sporadically. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Melissa, I didn’t try to guess because I’ve watched you long enough to know!😂 Well put together video. We don’t care where you sit or what your background looks like, as long as you’re comfortable. You seem to be feeling better and I hope that’s the case. Much love sweetie❤
Melissa, this was a fabulous video! I learned so much! Your makeup looks gorgeous and your skin is beautiful! Please do an updated video of your morning and evening skin care routine ASAP. I need some guidance and a routine to follow and the products I need for each routine (morning and evening). I get so mixed up because there are just too many choices. Thank you so much and I look forward to your videos.😍💕
My guesses....acids(different ones for exfoliating), peptides, ceramides, vitamin c, galactomytes, retinol...I have learned a bunch from watching you, I use ALOT of Korean products and look for certain ingredients 😊
I was pretty close, actually I use all of these. I use numerous essences, more at night than the am. I use vitamin c every day. I have a 4 day streak, 1st night exfoliating, 2nd night retinol, and 3rd and 4th hydrating. I found this brand on Amazon, Elizavecca that has a galactomyte and a bifida serum, along with other brands I use and you have suggested. I also use a Squalane Facial oil by feel, well 90% Squalane and 10% vitamin c. Again, I've learned so much from watching you Melissa, about to turn 52 and my skin actually has never looked better! Thanks for all you do!! Love ya!!❤
Hi Melissa, I have used many of the products you mentioned with the last one being the Dermelect Sleep serum and their retinol serum. Plus! I have loved and repurchased many times, the Dermtology Mineral sunscreen, Biosannce Copper Pepeide, the COSRX Snail muscin. Really like them. I am trying something new you might want to look at is thr VT Reddle shot 100. Thishas Cica Reddle micro needles that increase the absorption of skin care actives to make the products more effective. I am just starting to use this and found it on Amazon after doing my research. Thank you for a great video as usual! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for this comment. I hadn't heard of the VT Reedle Shot until right before this video, Dr. Dray here on TH-cam was talking about it. She talked about it being abrasive, but the better delivery of our skincare ingredients sounds promising to me. I've never had microneedling. And her review left me wandering if it's worth it, with her beware comment, lol. I too am gonna have to do more research. I know it has some great ingredients. But again, thanks for talking about it.😊
@@MrsMelissaM I did not see the 50 but happy that is an option. The 100 is tolerable at this point with no irritation. I'm glad I didn't get too cocky and go for the 900!!! 😳😭😂
I have all of these ingredients in my routine! Vitamin C needs to be L Ascorbic Acid to really do the job. I rotate between the Timeless and a few others.
I am 66 years young and I was good when I was younger, not being in the sun. My skin is dry, sensitive and I have rosacea. But now I’m starting to see some crepey areas. What is the secret to avoid this??
Building your collagen & elastin from the inside too. I have a video of my hair supplements, but they also have helped my skin tremendously! I'll link that video for you. th-cam.com/video/w7X-0iJ0p9g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yHeVrl_KiRxxpTs9
Wow, Melissa…great information! I have so many questions about what order to apply these, lol. Where do you use Copper Peptides in your routine? Also, I’ve heard you shouldn’t use it together with Vit C? One more question…what about hyaluronic acid? Absolutely love your videos and pleased you might be putting more emphasis on skincare! Thank you!
Good sleep. Good nutrition. Lots of water intake. Consistent cleansing and moisturizing. Vitamin C serum. SPF at least 30, everyday. Niacinamide. Vitamin E. Hyaluronic acid, in proper combination with a good moisturizer. Zeolite if you have rosacea or recurring eczema from any cause. How'd I do? Love ya Melissa!
PS I've only very recently gone back to using Physician's Formula The Essence of Healthy as a toner. Good source of Galactomyces ferment filtrate, from Sake brewing in Japan. It's the first ingredient on the list. Used to use it when it was easy to find in stores; now it's one of the very few products I'll order online. Have been back with it for three weeks, and I can tell there's a huge positive difference on my moody rosacea-ravaged face. !!!😁😁
What would you recommend to cover hollows under my eyes I guess they would be considered circles and hollowness under my eyes? …. Would an eye brightening concealer help? I’m over 40… thanks love your channel!!✨❤️
If they’re actually hollows, filler is an option. It’s temporary. There’s also a permanent procedure available but I’m not familiar with the name of it. No product helps. Those “instant” products like Peter Thomas Roth has will immediately improve the area but leaves a very visible white cast which, should you try to moisten or apply concealer or any liquid product over it, the “instant” results from the product vanish immediately. Save your money.
Hi April. Have you tried Peach or orange color corrector? I have bad dark circles & I have to use a color corrector first. I'll link a video where I demonstrate Timestamp 5:44 is where I start using a color corrector. I don't use this one but Pixi Color Corrector in peach is my favorite amzn.to/3OQP5rw
Vitamin C, Retinol, Hyaluronic, Glycolic Acid, Sunscreen and Peptides and Niacinamide. Looks like I guessed them right. What a great video with a lot of good choices. Thanks so much for giving away your secrets 😉❤
I paused, ok. SPF, NIACINAMIDE, VITAMIN C, MOISTURIZER, RETINOL I was going to add HYLORINIC ACID, but I've noticed since I stopped using it my skin is less dehydrated,,but I think its because of the dry freezing climate in Montana. LOL I don't remember if you said 6 or 7 😂😂. Well whay counts is that I tried. By the way you look amazing😊
I have started using serums and essences after watching one of your videos a year ago maybe. I don’t use a cream moisturizer anymore. Most of the ones you have recommended were pocket book friendly. They last long time.
Vit-C is great in the morning with your sunscreen to boost its effects in protecting our skin. I personally wouldn't use vit c and retinol at night. There are other types of Vit-C besides l- ascorbic that are great at night.
I use a cleansing balm to remove my makeup amzn.to/3xwxkYQ and then a hydrating cleanser to prep my skin for the rest of my skincare without stripping it amzn.to/3xD14nb Hope that helps.
Some tips to add, the Natrium has a .05% that people can start with, try every other day at first. Vitamin C is unstable so you need to find one that has lot of research, store it in a cool dark place, some people put it in the fridge, I wouldn't use an AHA or other acid like that more than twice a week and never the day of Retinol. One can seriously ruin the skin barrier that they worked so hard to build back up. Even if you do not have sensitive skin. Just some thoughts. Also take some omega 3s, they really help the skin as well as other things like hydrolyzed collagen.
Totally understand that because my skin is so sensitive. The Benton Essence with the bifida, might work great for you because it's an antioxidant & calms skin

You're welcome 😊
Retinol, AHA/BHA, peptides, B3, moisturizer, argerline, sunscreen
good advice -I am tooo lax using a sunscreen
I was for years too!
❤ i read that L-Ascorbic Acid was the most potent form of Vitamin C. 🎉
Vit C, vit A, Sunscreen, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Niacinimide, Moisturizer
@MichealPhilips-kk2mx yeah I need that right now
I love your information but a little overwhelming, do you use all of these things daily or rotate them
Yes, I do use them daily. That is, one product from each ingredient category.
Niacinimide, peptides, snail mucin, moisturizer
retin a, vit c and moisturizer ( like ceramides or something)
Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen, vitamin c,
Copper peptides and centella asiatica, retinol.
Vit-C is great in the morning with your sunscreen to boost its effects in protecting our skin. I personally wouldn't use vit c and retinol at night. There are other types of Vit-C besides l- ascorbic that are great at night.
Retin -A, vitamin C, niaciminad, sunscreen, bifida, moisturizer
Cleanser, Vitamin C, Nicinamide, hyaluronic acid, exfoliator, moisturizer, sunscreen.
Skincare is so important at our age. If your skin is not good no amount of makeup will help.
So true!
What do you use as a cleanser?
I use a cleansing balm to remove my makeup

and then a hydrating cleanser to prep my skin for the rest of my skincare without stripping it

Hope that helps.
Great tips. Thank you.
Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, peptides, Urea, tretinion, SPF.
I just tried the thayers hydrating toner it works greatfor sry skin
Thanks so much for sharing Loren!
I can’t use vitamin c serums as it impacts my rosacea so I look for other serums with an indirect delivery method that doesn’t make my skin flare.
Totally understand that because my skin is so sensitive. The Benton Essence with the bifida, might work great for you because it's an antioxidant & calms skin
Oooo thank you! I’ll look at that one ❤❤❤
Niacinamide, urea, ceramides, peptides, retinol, Vit C, SPF, fermented products.
