    Thanks for posting. I couldn't get the Mehjool dates so I added a banana which helped. Maybe next time I'll try soaking the dates in water for 20 minutes. I had a blender but it didn't work very well because the dates were too dry. I'll add some honey next time, so sweeten a little. thanks for taking the time to post your receipe. cheers

    This recipe is great. I made substitutions for some of the seeds and nuts but kept with the base of date/raisin/peanut butter and oats and followed your instructions. The bars are delicious and I love that all of the sugars and fats come from the fruits, nuts, and seeds. I used a 9x9 inch pan which looks smaller than what you used, and I might have been able to spread it into a 9x13 but the bars would have been too thin. (Perhaps you used a double recipe when demonstrating how to press the dough and cut them?) Baking really helped the bars set up and stay solid. They will be perfect to take on hiking trips. I will be making these again and again. Thanks!!

    I'm thinking about making protein bars to be used as a snack. I don't really make things to eat but your recipe looks good and doable, so I just might try it. 😃
    It would've been awesome to get the nutritional values for this recipe so I could track and know how much to eat.✌🏼

      Unnecessary steps are stupid! "Roughly chop the dates" Why? you're literally putting them in a blender the very next step. Why add more work and pad out the recipe with extra steps for? People want efficiency not obnoxious flare. Go on hate the hater and remain in your bubble.

    • @бронза.вафля.конус
      @бронза.вафля.конус 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@adammada511 stupid, there will be no big chunks if you chop them before adding in the blender. People have different kinds of blenders with different efficiency so that tip guarantees that it works for more people. Do you even cook? What a stupid question

    • @kasturi2666
      @kasturi2666 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Adam Mada, you don't want to roughly chop the dates, then don't.. As simple as that!!
      I think it's necessary, since it makes sure there are no lumps in the paste..
      It's funny how people can comment on such a trivial thing!

    I’m so glad you addressed the anti-nutrients in the oats. It’s my understanding, via The Healthy Home Economist, that oats should be both soaked and then cooked. I do this, then add yogurt culture to ferment in my yoghurt maker, instead of unhealthy pasteurized milk. I have no resource for raw currently. Ideally all the nuts and seeds should be soaked first, (and legumes, grains) even sprouted as well. In WELLth 💝💗🤗

    Good recipe. I want to make a suggestion. In the US, peanut butter uses vegetable oils such as canola oil and palm oil. Most of them are high in sugar. Definitely not healthy. I recommend using SunButter instead. It's just sunflower seeds and the oil they naturally have. You can get it without sugar or the regular kind that is low in sugar.

      I think baking is not required since everything was toasted and kneaded and pressed into a flat block. I didn’t understand the need of baking it besides not All seeds needed roasting for roasting ruins lots in seeds not to mention that flaxseeds need to be ground before use not eaten whole otherwise they just end up having a joyful journey in our digestive system! 😄 Fact!
      Note, I didn’t listen to the video only watched so any explanation was given by the uploader I sure have missed it.

      you can use a non-stick frying pan. even in many other videos you don't need to be in the oven/heated in a pan anymore if the grain ingredients have been roasted until cooked. just glue it with honey, then mold it into a rectangle and then cut it into pieces

      @dimpana. M 2 A I thought of suggesting you to try two things to reverse diabetes for your daughter . ( Can be done even for an adult) :
      1. Food without any oil . Make sure you consume everything fresh: no junk, no diary . Breakfast for mornings keep it to smoothies and fruits.
      2. Intermittent Fasting : I don't know if I spelled that right. The only meaning of this is keep a min 12 Hour gap between dinner and breakfast time . This will help your body clean itself. Ie. 7 PM dinner, 8AM breakfast.
      Try it out. God is with u. I am sure she will come out of the pre diabetic stage.
      But she needs to love this life style thoughout life.
      God bless her and your family 😇
