Excellent shots. Truly cinematic. Gorgeous skin tones and color. One of the finest examples of what this amazing camera can deliver. Other people who have posted footage shot on Komodo are miles away from this example. Which tells you that the camera is not the problem. Their skills or lack thereof are.

@@framexsmultimedia5416 I believe chromatic aberration is an issue not a flavor :)

This video is the result of our precise choice of grading. For me, the camera doesn't have the problems you are saying

I don't know why but the skin tones look dull, like a nikon or Fuji, I hope it's the grading not the sensor.

Thank you for your comment. I shoot raw. As you surely know, in the grading phase you can choose different looks. This is my point of you. The sensor is absolutely fantastic and the file is flat, very flat , with an huge dynamic range... sorry about my english... the best I can...

@@framexsmultimedia5416 No there is nothing you need to be sorry about. Thank YOU for explaining your point of view, and sharing it with all of us. I apology if my comment seems too direct but it is how I feel. Besides the skin tones everything else great.

@FrameXs Multimedia, well I kinda agree with Y.Zhao, to me everything is amazingly great, but the flat skin is maybe the only average point here, at least to my eyes.Probably the makeup didnt help on her face, which is also fully lit (without real light ratios between left&right?).
But that may also be an artistic choice of course, so this isnt criticism by itself, more a question related to the technical aspects of the Komodo.Do you think this could have been changed in post, or is it more the way the camera handle subtilities under high exposure?
Again thank you for sharing this amazing shot!

@@nightmusic1974 I posted the comment when I was doing research for the komodo and I agree it is an amazing job, hope the comment was not taking personally. I think it is mostly like the result of grading done to the skin tone layer. I see this quite often when people try to enhance the skin tone in resolve. Definitely not the Komodo sensor since I've ordered it earlier this month. The only problem I found with the komodo sensor as of right now is the color fringing, by that I mean one side green and opposite side purple when against a bright/white back ground. First I though was the chromatic aberration but later I found the same fringings even in footage shot with the sigma art 18-35, which I know shouldn't look like that. However the Komodo is still my first choice in image quality under possibly 13k.

      Y. Zhao thank you for clarifying this, that’s very reassuring to know such tone layer can be fully graded in post on the Komodo.Color fringing isnt good news though...did you manage to correct the color aberration on post eventually?
