  • David here of Fishing and Dishing with David and Team Blue Dreams. Both Terrell and I were very disappointed about how things were done at a local fishing tournament and we feel it makes us look bad too. Other than the fact that we scooped the dying fish out of the lake and we did rescue or revive the 7lb largemouth bass. There were 7 fish left to die at the boat ramp where they are generally released, but these 7 needed help. Most could not be saved. And it had to be more than one boat. 5 fish was the limit.
The fish were located in two boat slips were people are pulling their boats in or launching one, so they would have to run over them or knock them out of the way. So we took the bull by the horns and went and scooped them up. Someone had a nice bag of fish, but just did not keep them healthy in their live well and after weigh-in, they just put them back in the lake to die. We took them back to the marina and worked on them for about 10 minutes and we got the 7lber revived. Or we did not see it float back up. Great job Terrell Rose.
These were not our fish that were left to die, but we could not just leave them there. People were pointing at them and talking about them. I cannot believe no one else tried to help them. We need those bass to live, so we can catch and release them again.

Some people are sick in the head, we've all made mistakes that killed a fish or killed it to eat it... but to leave it out to die with no intention of eating it is psychotic behaviour.
