@@FlatRR chris won any sure...not go look at how many rookies are in the top 20 for AOY if trey won at st Lawrence he would of been the aoy and Roy. Literally do some simple research before you come on here looking silly

The sitting on top of someone does not bug me that much. That happens all the time. Going to get another angler to come join the hot spot just seems wrong to the other anglers. Then tell that person to sit on top of the other angler. So, no one owns a spot. I know out of respect you don't pull up on someone. But it is not a rule.

@thomascoleman3540 it would be that I did not see it. The pulling up on a spot someone else is on is pretty common. Leaving a spot to go get another angler in the tournament to come fish it with you and to sit on top of someone did seem like funny business. But I guess it is allowed. It is not fair to the other anglers competing. It is teamwork.

I have an older Lowrance and a Hummingbird Helix 7. And a lot of times, I don't even cut them on. I kind of go John Cox on them. They look like they should be in this area or this spot and cast around. The FFS is kind of expensive I think. I have never priced a unit.

That is where you are wrong. They had every right to be there. People may not like it or agree with it. That is fine. But if he was not supposed to be there, Bassmaster would have done something. No one owns the lake and has the right to a whole area. Especially a community hole that everyone knows Chris and Cory know about. It did not stop Robert or Trey from catching fish. If anything, Trey may have taken some of his fish. But it is ok to invite Trey there. Just not the Johnstons. Head games.

I appreciate the SOL comment. It is cheesy to do, but not against the rules. I just think it is funny that he was worried about Chris and left to go get some help that may have caught a few fish that would of hurt him. I do not pull up on anyone either but have it happen to me. I just keep fishing or go somewhere else I am not letting them inside my head. Plus, I am not fishing for big money, for sponsors or a Big Blue trophy. Maybe there should be a rule against it. I think that is the distance rule. No one likes someone pulling up on their spot. As far as the first one there. I would lose that race every time. I look for spot close to take off, because my Mercury 90 in not going to outrun anyone. People with trolling motors pass me. LOL

Yeah, finishing 2nd was darn good. Hats off to Robert Gee. He beat Chris. And shame on Cory for winning. He brought his A game Sunday. Trey did win Rookie of the Year. Hats off to him. Roberts day will come. He is a very good angler.

Honestly no. I think 2 things, One, Chris needed some weight to make the cut and knew where to find them. And 2, no, I think he was trying to beat Cory as well as everyone else and secure AOY, which he did. Communicating off the lake does not bother me. During the fishing time on the lake does. It is not fair to other anglers. It is hard to believe they allow it. Yet you can't buy weigh points. Had Robert just focused on the task at hand, he probably wins. He only needed 2 more pounds. How many of the fish that Trey caught there would have help Gee?

But coming back on day 4 he wasn’t in contention to win. Let him and your bro duke it out on there own and go somewhere else it didn’t matter at that point.

Getting waypoints and information is not in the definition of being a stick. These guys need to do the work necessary to win and not cheat.

What do you want me to see, Chris pulling in on Robert Gee? I saw him fishing the spot but I was out of the room when he pulled in. I get what people are saying. You don't come in on a leader. That must come from someone who does not want to win. Robert had found out what Chris already knew, it was a tournament winning spot.

See, I have a problem with that. I thought there was a distance you must maintain. It is not a written rule that you cannot fish in the same area. Both are trying to win, it is what someone would like you to do. Chris has won a tournament or 2 off that same spot. I understand people don't like it, but it happens. Just like going to go get Trey to come fish that spot was within the rules. Which I don't think is fair to the other anglers. It is now team work. What happened is, Robert let Chris get inside his head. I am not trying to defend the Johnston's, they can do that themselves and are not worried about anyone. When dollars are on the line it becomes cut throat. It is a shame too. Robert Gee was in position to win, had he just focused on what he was doing. He had to know Chris was coming sometime. Especially when he needed weight to make the cut himself.

Hmmmm, that is a tough one. I am a fan of theirs. I am a fan of Robert and Trey as well. I am a fan of all the anglers. I was bringing up something I saw on TV during the tournament that I thought was questionable, but I did not know the rule on it. The rule says you can. So team work is allowed it seems. As I have mentioned, the one thing Robert did that I really did not agree with was the comment to sit on top of him.

Yes Chris came in on Robert Gee. And yes Robert retaliated by getting Trey. Again, the sit on top of him comment is what got me. Plus it just don't seem fair to the other anglers in the tournament that you go tell one friend where they are biting and to come join you. Trey may not have made the top 10 if Robert did not go tell him they had already caught 51 pounds off that spot. There is a distance you are supposed to maintain from each other. Not give them the spot. Chris needed some weight, he knew where to get it and knew someone else was there. He said so in the morning.

I put them on video for people coming to fish the chain. Then I have to battle them for a place. LOL Just kidding. I let people have them. I fish the Chain of Lakes all the time. I will hit that spot another time or fish with them. I am happy watching someone else catch a big fish.

Also I do catch and release, so they are still there. And today, I could not get one in the boat. I lost 4 today. 2 good ones. I was stinking up the lake. Time to change out hooks.

I would use KVD as an example. Integrity means a lot.

I agree that Karma has a way of working itself into the mix. I felt bad for Robert Gee. He seems like a great guy. I personally did not like the move he made and especially the sit on top of him comment. He let Chris inside his head. I cannot believe that on the actual day of the tournament and while you are on the water fishing, you can share info. It would seem like of all days you can't share info, it would be on that day. Maybe I am missing something.

Chris is a douche bag! If he wanted To be there he should have been there from day 1. Guarantee if the tables were turned chris would be a crying baby

I am located in Winter Haven, FL, home of Legoland Florida and the Chain of Lakes. I did the video in a honey hole on Lake Eloise.

@@chrisdurance8694 it should be on TH-cam under the day 3 coverage. I was watching it on FS1, but the coverage generally ends up on TH-cam after the tournament.

@@chrisdurance8694 I am sure if you give it a few days it will be on here. Bassmaster does not have it on their site? But a guy commented they could communicate during the tournament. I looked that up and the No Information Rule C3(i) says "During the official practice period and competition, “anglers cannot solicit, receive or gather any information from anyone other than another competitor in the tournament.” which shocked me to be honest. During the day of the tournament you can run tell your friends where the fish are biting? That seems like team work to me. I am no pro tournament angler I fish local tournaments. Trey was in 9th place at the time. So look for a period when he was in 9th place. He moved to 6th like 10 minutes after he got there.

It don't work that way. You can fish within a certain distance from someone else. It happens all the time. Robert found that spot by watching other anglers. No one has the right to the lake. It is also known as a community hole. Robert said so. But to leave the spot and go get someone else to come fish it with you and try to disrupt someone else is cheating.
