This was simple and primitive perfection at its best. Everything arranged looked like it’s been there for hundreds of years and really is a walk back in time. Gorgeous pieces of furniture and styled so beautifully. Loved your home Sherry! I should be so lucky as to have the “magic” touch like you! Thank you Bridgett for finding another wonderful prim home!
What a truly authentic home. Not sure how she lives that way but kudos to her and all her yummy collections. Great video Bridgett. You put a smile on my face every time. Hugs
Beautifully prim bedrooms. The crewel bed curtains are true works of art. I love the shelves in the bathroom. Proving once again the simple and elegant primitive style is perfection! Thanks for the tour!
Wowza, it is going to be hard to top this in my opinion!! Lots of wonderful pieces! Well thought out as she purchased and grouped her collections. She has a great eye and self discipline! Love, love, love her home! Keep 'em coming, but until you do, I'll be watching this one over and over! Thank you, both for sharing this with us!
Oh my, just saw your video. I am moved to say the least. Absolutely amazing ! Your home is a complete work of art ! The love and time spent in great details. Congratulations on showing the world Early Americana. I cried it was so beautiful !
Sherries home is so wonderful and full of such amazing authentic pieces! Every time I visit her I feel like I just stepped back into the 18th century! We sure enjoyed the show and I love my redware piece!
I'm so in love with primitive and pioneer antiques. The color on all these pieces has much darkened over 200 years of fireplace soot, aged lacquer, pipe smoke, humidity, paint flaking, etc. Imagine how vibrant with color the house would have originally been. The blue, red, green, and yellow paints. Even the bindings of the books upon the shelves would originally have been colorful. Still, I love the age displayed today.
You work really hard to produce these videos Bridgett. As a country furniture maker they really inspire me,and a always see something that I would like to make. Keep up the good work and I’m sure all the primitive furniture lovers who watch your post’s will agree with that.
This home is beautiful but , more than that, I think it is art. Early, sparse, and yet just enough to be warm and interesting enough to draw you in more and more. This is so hard to achieve , I can't seem to master it. Thank you for sharing this, each of your videos are awesome.
Thanks to you and Sherry for sharing a tour of this beautiful home. The antiques and display are so authentic. O the stories those treasures could tell!!!
What a stunning home !!! To live and decorate with such restraint and still have such beauty. Love Sherry’s chosen pieces . The crewel bed curtains are gorgeous!!! Thank you to Sherry for sharing her Gorgeous home and to you Bridgett for another wonderful home !!! May your weekend be full of joy.
Prim perfection!! Every piece of furniture is gorgeous & even though she has a lot of pieces, she’s able to achieve that early, sparse look that is so stunning!❤I’ve watched it twice so I can catch every little detail- like the way she arranges old books so they look like works of art to the lone wine glass sitting on the book shelf, looking like someone placed it there while choosing a book 200 years ago and forgot it was there. It’s those little details that create thus perfect look!
Another beautiful home! So much to look at. These homes and collections--yours, your mother's and your friends--are amazing. I so look forward to each of your videos.
Hi Bridgette! Another great tour of an awesome home. Thanks Sherry for sharing your home with us. And Bridgette for always filming slowly so we have a chance to see everything in detail. Your music is always perfect for the period and so much nicer than so much talking that others do and it often is a distraction. Liking the way you do that in the beginning or the end of the video. When awakening in one of Sherrys beds it would take a few minutes to realize you were in the 2st century! Looking forward to your next video, Love from Michigan
Hi there Bridgette…Sherry’s house is beautiful!! Love, love love it! The music on your videos are very nice as well! I love all her early lighting pieces. I have never seen any for sale in any antique shops around here. We don’t have very many around here. Have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for sharing…. Both you Sherry! ❤
New subscriber in NH! I just ran across this video from a year ago and loved the music. I would love to know what it is. Beautiful home, wonderful (very old) antiques. I love living with primitives but do not have a collection this complete. Watched this a second time and loved the authentic simplicity of her early 1700s furnishings. It is not over done and just wonderful.
Just beautiful!!!! Love your channel and keep new videos coming. There aren’t many primitive channels. Thanks so much!!! And thanks for all your replies, very impressive!!!
This home is a living museum. I’d love to know where the television was! I see this and my thoughts go to insurance… these pieces are irreplaceable. Thank you Bridgette for another wonderful video. 🌷
What a lovely home. I’m in love with it! The kitchen table is so nice and simple with just enough decoration. I loved the bedroom with the gray bed and what looks like a mustard quilt. How does she get the bed in that room to look like she is sleeping on a big square of fluff! I’ve seen it in a few home and it looks so comfortable. Just love her home. It is soothing. And her paintings! At first the painting in the bedroom with the blue spread looked creepy to me. But when you did the close up I knew instantly why she purchased it. It is beautiful. And I love the bathroom. She is very talented in her design. Where does she hide a TV if she has one? You have a good friend Bridgett!
I had to start the video over. So beautiful! And what get me and draws me in more is the music. Could you share a list and artists of the music ? You make me dream.
Oh boy where do I start!! I really appreciate how Sherry left everything so authentic. I love hat boxes so It was nice that she had a Hannah Davis one to show. Question? the wing back chairs in the living room I was told at one time they were called poor man's wing chairs only the better off had the authentic chairs. Do you have some idea of there history? I would have loved if Sherry herself along with you Bridgett had given a speaking tour( maybe in the future?) This along with your full tour of your house, Bridgett will be among video's I will look at again and again. Thank you so much!!
Ooooh! That corner wing acknowledged chair! That's what they are supposed to look like. Pulled up before the fireplace, the big "wings" helped trap and hold the warm air around your body. They don't look like those anymore. Like useless shutters, we have only slim and useless wings, on our wing b ack chairs now.
Always look forward to a new video of yours. I decorate colonial and prim with folk art. Such fun to watch The Lone Rearranger. I have spent several hours climbing rickety chairs and having the best time doing so. The homemade topiary was great inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
Talk about authenticity.... How long has your friend been acquiring her pieces. I am very colonial so it was interesting to see such an extreme contrast.
Bridgett, you are a bad influence on me. As you panned the camera over to the bed you made me pause the video, go get a long s hook, find my small burnished brass lantern and go hang it on my 4 poster bed. Naughty girl Bridgett. Then you made me comment when you showed the Hannah Davis band box. She was an early woman entrepreneur who was born 1796 Virginia and lived until the 1860's. She made the first wooden band boxes. So, I will hit the play button and finish this video. Bless you for the product that you produce!!
Bonnie you have made me laugh so hard!!😂😂 you sure are knowledgeable about this stuff!! That Hannah Davis box was wonderful!❤️ Thanks for sharing that little bit of history. It’s so fascinating to me!😍
Thank you so much for your sweet comment and for watching! The music came from Epidemic Sound. It was all from different artists but I just thought it had an early colonial sound! Hope this helps! Many blessings to you!
I absolutely love your TH-cam channel. You are inspiring for those of us who love prims. Could you share the name of the beautiful music that plays during your videos? I would love to buy the cd so I can play it in my car. Maybe it's something I can play from my phone? Thank you, Bridgette.
Thank you so very much Pat!🥰. I use a site called “Epidemic Sound” because it’s a copyright free music site. I wish I had a CD of that music too! Sometimes I’ll play my videos really loud and clean house to the sound of that music!!😂 It just takes me back in time.❤️ Happy 4th!!🇺🇸
You mentioned in one of your comments, that your home was in A Primitive Place magazine. Could you tell us what month and year? I have a lot of back issues but can't find your article. I love anything and everything with your home in it. Thank you so much for your great videos.
This was simple and primitive perfection at its best. Everything arranged looked like it’s been there for hundreds of years and really is a walk back in time. Gorgeous pieces of furniture and styled so beautifully. Loved your home Sherry! I should be so lucky as to have the “magic” touch like you!

Where’s the chair in her bedroom that she throws her clothes on?😂😂😂
Beautiful home put together so well. Another study in primitive! So grateful for you and your friends and family sharing their homes! ❤❤❤

Beautiful. Any sources for learning what these pieces are called? I wish I lived near you and your friend Sherry so I could learn from the best!

And also we're did you get your pictures in your room with the fireplace and how big are they I've seen them online?
