Can I ask u a question my lawnmower where the breather on the gas tank sometimes gas drives out of it into the air filter the mower runs great idk why its doing that so I drilled a hole in the cover and put a aquairum tube in it so that when it drips it drips on the outside and not my air filter lol any idea what the problem is

You know those syringe you use to suck snot out of a baby's nose they work good to prime a fuel . I had a Fiat Strada with dual Weber if it sat long it bleed back... I have upgrade to a boat primer bulb... keep it my tool box. I like that PVC syphon....beats using shop vacuum and hoping it doesn't ignite....😜

Here's something you should know..the Kohler 7000 series engines are the least seen in repair shops don't take my word for it just ask small repair engine shops like I did

I channeled Raley to help fix the bad vibration problem on my 12 yr old troy bilt rider with Kohler eng. I did the standard thing of balance the blades did nothing. Today I looked under the motor and found a loose bolt, it was broken. Took it out put a fatter washer on it and tightened it up.
Then I looked at the rest of the bolts and one was missing, so I put an old bolt I had in that hole with a lock washer.
I was so glad to find them before one of the final 2 bolts broke and I had a real big problem like have to buy a new mower....lol

Just a,suggestion, I use a hand vacuum pump hook to line that goes from the valve cover to the fuel pump. If I run mine out of gas, that's the fastest way to prime the fuel system. And it saves the battery and starter wear .

You can dry the fuel tank out with a shop rag. Cram the rag in the tank and blow it around with compressed air to mop it out. Blow the tank out good after doing this to blow out the lint from the rag. Remember E 10 fuel collects water. Replace the fuel filter always.

  • @Rein_Ciarfella

Great diag process and ultimate fix. Another takeaway I got - never assume what the customer thinks is the issue is correct. The trash in the tank was preventing fuel flow and that small amount of water was secondary. 🔧👍

I don't think I have a single tool skinny enough to break that loose to let the bowl drain. Any recommendations on something else to use that might be common before I make the 2-hour trip into town for one tool?

Greetings from Ohio ... This is the first video of your channel I've watched .... I enjoyed watching you go step by step .... common sense with every step ... plus, I learned a couple of things I'm sure will come in handy down the road. It's good to watch a common sense man do things the right way, and not turning the air blue with language in the process.
I purchased a new ZTrak 345R in late Aug of '22, and tho it's no Ferris or Grasshopper, a decent mower for my needs.
Thank you for posting. I've already liked and subscribed!

Well, after a frustrating attempt to mow my lawn that resulted in spending some quality time in the driveway with my mower refusing to run, I'm going to say that THIS video was helpful. Its too late to go do it now, but I'm confident this is going to get my rig running in the morning! Using the fuel supply line to siphon the water out of the bottom of the tank is exactly what I needed. I think I have a Folgers can around here somewhere. Might have to dump the coffee out, or maybe leave it in there I don't know....
