Thanks this was very helpful. However I had some issues with PC not booting with my bricked RX5600XT(Asus TUF didn't like the modded MSI bios). Luckily I had CH341A Programmer thorugh which I erase the bios completely and then with that erased bios PC booted into DOS and did recoginize the Navi card. Note: I couldn't load my original bios with CH341A programmer via windows10, it was giving me some errors. So yeah, this how to really helped me a lot. Thanks bro!

Maybe 2 late but for some ppl coming late to the party. You need a CPU with an iGPU to work around. In BIOS set the iGPU as only Graphics and then unplug the dead GPU. Do all the usb-stick stuff, shut down the punk and plug the gpu Back in. Turn on PC and spam the hell out of F11. Your PC will run of your iGPU and still realise there is sth plugged into the PCIE slot but not using it as DOS can't
I bricked a card BECAUSE OF YOUR 5700 XT video! Found another video explaining that you NEED to use the 2.94 version of the flash tool if you have gigabyte and MSI cards. Now I need to open the card to try to physically somehow short a circuit while it's working.

Then I guess the only option is to hardware reset the BIOS chip by shortening legs with a wire.. I'm into mining since about 2 months. In order to increase my ETC hashrate to the expected 30MH/s, I tried to flash the BIOS via the Windows version of amdvbflash and I instantly bricked my RX 570. :( During the flash process I got an error that the deletion of old BIOS failed and the ROM became completely unreadable from amdvbflash or any other software... @Son of a Tech, you saved my ONLY mining GPU, dude!!! I can't express what a relief it was when I saw your video and IT WORKED. Thank you so much!!! Keep up the amazing content! :) Probably most people that visit the video have already bricked their cards but the ones that haven't and just want FEW BUCKS MORE with no solid knowledge (like myself) should be aware that it's an AWFUL EXPERIENCE. The risk to throw away a perfectly healthy GPU in the middle of a bull market with current insane prices is frightening! I may consider it for other units in the distant future but for this specific one I would not try my luck again, regardless of the potential performance gains...
if anyone stil can not get in booting, it is mostly because Compatibility Support Module (CSM) in bios is disabled. just enable it and boot again, it worked for me !!!
Please somebody I beg you. I’ve done the paper clip method to boot, finally got to flashing the card and the flash fails, not it no longer shows up on the adapter. Is it totally finished?
You need to use another gpu in the first pcie slot to uninstall amd drivers, turn off pc. Put the soft bricked card in the last pcie slot. You should now be able to use amdvbflash to flash og bios onto bricked card. Restart, then reinstall amd drivers
Another trick that worked for me was to use an eGPU. Bricked card caused the system to not post and it unfortunately did not have dual bios. The trick explained in the video did not work. The eGPU allowed me to get in to Windows and reflash.
@@ch1ckenballs it didn't for me. Normally you can hotswap the egpu enclosure. You just have to have it connected to a display to use its graphicsl featutres. You can not connect a display and use it for computation (ie: mining).

My son was playing forknife on a 2 month old 5500xt and it will only work without the drivers installed now. The moment we install drivers on any system or any is with this card installed it freezes on boot.
Hey!! My 6700XT has passed off... On hiveos shows "Unknown GPU", on Windows Device Manager - shows "AMD Radeon RX 6700XT". But doesn't get recognized by ATI Catalyst driver. Can't even flash the bios, shows 0FL01 and on amdvbflash says that can't ready the rom. I've tryied over AMDVBFLASH UEFI Pendrive, and it donesn't even recognize the card... :(
If you integrated graphics stops working only when the bricked card is plugged and has power cables in it, then you might have to change the mode of your integrated graphics in your motherboards bios.
So...unlike PC BIOS flashing which can make a board "bricked', as in, dead, are all the RX series "unbrickable"? To me, old school, thinks that when you use the term "bricked", it means dead. Unfixable. I guess the term has changed over the years. I just need to know if I mess up an RX 580 or another Radeon card like this, that there is 100% a way to bring it back. Flashing in that case is zero risk. Is it though?
I had copied the EFI files and the bios on to the USB stick with USB formatted to FAST32. I am using the onboard VGA for display and had connected the bricked GPU to a riser to connect to the board. I had tried many times booting but display was 'Black" and I cannot get into/see DOS. Can you kindly give instructions on how to connect the Bricked GPU for flashing and where do you connect the display to? Do we use the onboard VGA for display. Thanks!

My bios flashed failed now my xfx posts as Microsoft basic display Adapter. I have tried to toggle the bios switch and nothing still listed as microsoft basic display driver. Is it bricked or is the driver messed up?

if you bridge pin 1 to 8 on vbios chip, allow pc to post, (yes, tear card down, leave it naked, for insurance, put a little heatsync on gpu) then windows will see it jump over to cmd propt(in admin) do the amdflash -unlockrom 0 then amdflash -p 0 xxx.rom job done bro peace out

I did it.. I used another card and got the backup of original bios of gigabyte rx5700xt in a bootable pendrive and then used friend’s pc which had intel processor with integrated graphics and changed display preferences to integrated graphics in motherboard bios then attached my gpu and successfully completed original flash bios... flash bios process can be followed from this video and if you don’t have original flash bios of specifically gigabyte rx 5700 xt do let me know
Wish you had posted this before I exchanged a bricked sapphire pulse 5700xt. You said the card wouldn't post. On a mining board that shows a pcie diagnostic, did the board register the bricked card? For my pulse, my asrock mining board did not identify a card attached

Hi, Followed these steps and understand vbios is successfully flashed on a Vega 56 however there's no video output and the GPU causes a 'B2' POST error. Any idea's whether the GPU is faulty please? At a guess the answer is 'yes'. This GPU was functioning with no issues however upon selling to an eBay buyer they've returned this for a refund and it's D.O.A. from what can be gathered. Thank you.

Alot of people warn against that. The only valid reason I've seen is people saying your blockfi deposit address might change without your knowledge. I know you're probably trying to save on transfer fees but might just be safer transferring ? 🤷🏽♂️

I have sapphire pulse, asus strix, and asrock challenger pro rx 5600 xt. I bricked the 3 strix’s, but the bios mod went successful on sapphire pulse and asrock challengers. I found the bios mod files for samsung dual bios and micron memorys. I used a modded rx 5600 xt powercolor samsung dual bios on all asrock challengers and get solid 43mh all 3. The strix micron are the only ones i had to leave stock after bricking them a few times

Hi, I was hoping that possibly you might have an old Aorus Rx 5700 XT still sitting around that you could send me the bios from? My card is still under warranty but tech support kept lying to me about a download not being on my download page then sent me a link and the download I was talking about was there. I've been arguing with them over this for about 2 years now and always the same thing treat me like I'm stupid and the download doesn't exist. Then the person that sent me the link proving I was correct advised me to install GeForce drivers on my AMD card!!! I have screenshots of all the lies that they told me, it's pretty ridiculous. So I don't even trust them to fix it and I can't afford to buy a new one because I have spinal cord injuries in two different places and can't work and have no income. Since I ran the .bat file on my download page (for F2 bios, changed .bat to .txt to figure that out) and mine takes F1 the fans spin so fast on start up that I'm surprised it doesn't take off like a drone and start delivering packages for Amazon lol so now after only two years the fans are shot, almost everyday it downloads a different version of Adrenaline even with a fresh install of Windows, then downloads what looks like the Gaming OC Aorus Engine and it's unresponsive, nothing works when you click on it and then downloads the wrong RGB 2.0 for the MOBO. So I have to download all the correct programs over again, run DDU ect. Besides lying to me about all of this being an issue they won't send me the correct bios either so I was hoping for a miracle and you'd have them or be able to get the bios. Sorry about the long comment and bothering you with this but the place that should be helping me isn't. Most People I've sent messages to won't respond to me but in case you can help the model number is GV-R57XTAORUS-8GB revision 1.0 there is a bios correction tool that is only on the revision 1.0 page and I think it's wrong and it seems Gigabyte pulled all these cards except the OC Gaming 8 GB which is odd because that is the AORUS engine program it keeps downloading. Every other brand has all 5700 series cards for sale new almost everywhere except Gigabyte but they still have old cards for sale brand new and of course when I drilled tech support about it they wouldn't answer. Sorry to email you like this, I know it's only suppose to be for business inquires but honestly I think I stumbled upon something they didn't want anyone to know about and I think a lot of people probably sent the cards in for an RMA and had to pay to have it fixed because it flashed the wrong bios on my card. When I ran GPUZ the speeds were the same as the OC Gaming and my card was faster that's why I bought this one. i have MSI Mech OC 5600 Xt, it got bricked and don't know the solution. When I boot my HiveOs with the card inserted on the MB, it displays 5700 with unknown GDDR6 instead of 5600xt which is actually the model of the card. Is there a solution for this? It doesn't edit the bios. It edits the registry in windows. Just boot in with another gpu or the igpu and clean the registry. If you don't have one a windows re-install will do it worst case

Always bios mod the older RX cards otherwise you’re actually missing out on some decent hashrate. Not only that, it’s really easy

on the board, there is a little arrow pointing to a pin, that is pin1, pin 8 is diagonally opposite at the far end
after the card posts do i remove the jumper?

Alot of people warn against that. The only valid reason I've seen is people saying your blockfi deposit address might change without your knowledge. I know you're probably trying to save on transfer fees but might just be safer transferring ? 🤷🏽♂️

Usage of my CPU while mining is 9% while GPU is 0.1% how do i shift it GPU? Or is it even possible?

Yeah you need to try another pci slot if that’s doesn’t help you need to put it in another pc

I have just bricked a 5600xt, and even if I install a working card besides it, the ENTIRE system won't post, so i don't know how to unbrick it, cause this method won't work (i tried it , no success)

idk. the tool will work with radeon 7. idk if it'll fix error 43. You'd need to boot in and see if it recognizes it

So when I try to do this it say “no adapter” found. Also if I try to boot with this gpu plugged in my system does not boot. I tried checking in display adapter on device manager and it does not detect a card their as well. I’m using a Asus tuf 3 5700xt

I have sapphire pulse, asus strix, and asrock challenger pro rx 5600 xt. I bricked the 3 strix’s, but the bios mod went successful on sapphire pulse and asrock challengers. I found the bios mod files for samsung dual bios and micron memorys. I used a modded rx 5600 xt powercolor samsung dual bios on all asrock challengers and get solid 43mh all 3. The strix micron are the only ones i had to leave stock after bricking them a few times

i have gigabyte 5600xt that does 48mh so is that good, damn i thought it was bad lol but 5700s do 55-57 so i gues so now i think about it

Hi, i have a question. When i run my dual rtx tuf 3080 rig after 3,5 hours i get a message saying: phoenix miner rebooted. When i click on the message it says “illegal memory access was encountered. I tried lowering my oc and tried other miners. But i did not work.... does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Hi, I was hoping that possibly you might have an old Aorus Rx 5700 XT still sitting around that you could send me the bios from? My card is still under warranty but tech support kept lying to me about a download not being on my download page then sent me a link and the download I was talking about was there. I've been arguing with them over this for about 2 years now and always the same thing treat me like I'm stupid and the download doesn't exist. Then the person that sent me the link proving I was correct advised me to install GeForce drivers on my AMD card!!! I have screenshots of all the lies that they told me, it's pretty ridiculous. So I don't even trust them to fix it and I can't afford to buy a new one because I have spinal cord injuries in two different places and can't work and have no income. Since I ran the .bat file on my download page (for F2 bios, changed .bat to .txt to figure that out) and mine takes F1 the fans spin so fast on start up that I'm surprised it doesn't take off like a drone and start delivering packages for Amazon lol so now after only two years the fans are shot, almost everyday it downloads a different version of Adrenaline even with a fresh install of Windows, then downloads what looks like the Gaming OC Aorus Engine and it's unresponsive, nothing works when you click on it and then downloads the wrong RGB 2.0 for the MOBO. So I have to download all the correct programs over again, run DDU ect. Besides lying to me about all of this being an issue they won't send me the correct bios either so I was hoping for a miracle and you'd have them or be able to get the bios. Sorry about the long comment and bothering you with this but the place that should be helping me isn't. Most People I've sent messages to won't respond to me but in case you can help the model number is GV-R57XTAORUS-8GB revision 1.0 there is a bios correction tool that is only on the revision 1.0 page and I think it's wrong and it seems Gigabyte pulled all these cards except the OC Gaming 8 GB which is odd because that is the AORUS engine program it keeps downloading. Every other brand has all 5700 series cards for sale new almost everywhere except Gigabyte but they still have old cards for sale brand new and of course when I drilled tech support about it they wouldn't answer. Sorry to email you like this, I know it's only suppose to be for business inquires but honestly I think I stumbled upon something they didn't want anyone to know about and I think a lot of people probably sent the cards in for an RMA and had to pay to have it fixed because it flashed the wrong bios on my card. When I ran GPUZ the speeds were the same as the OC Gaming and my card was faster that's why I bought this one. I don't do much with social media so I don't know if you can just message me on here because I subscribe to your channel

i have MSI Mech OC 5600 Xt, it got bricked and don't know the solution. When I boot my HiveOs with the card inserted on the MB, it displays 5700 with unknown GDDR6 instead of 5600xt which is actually the model of the card. Is there a solution for this? I tried the steps on this video but not succesful. Please help

It doesn't edit the bios. It edits the registry in windows. Just boot in with another gpu or the igpu and clean the registry. If you don't have one a windows re-install will do it worst case
@@SonofaTech am using a b250 mining board. The GPU fans are spinning, but it hangs on the asus logo doesn't boot pass that stage
And I tried it on my order rig but still same thing hangs on the asus logo and won't boot to windows. Thanks for clarifying I didn't brick my cards cos I bought them for 1700€ 😖
