For those who cant flash their 2015 AMD gpus, try older AMdflash for dos from 2016 year, it worked for me, the newer versions were putting the newer bios already programmed error... Hope it helps!

Something finally worked for me! Although my MB did not have onboard graphics, I used an older 9800 GT GPU (needed no additional power connections), plugged in along with my problem GPU. That old 9800 GT GPU is a great tool to have for situations like this and others.

Hello! I got an important note for everyone, if you happen to own a GPU that could have maybe different variations of the exact same brand, for example my Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ has two different variations with differing VRAM modules, make sure you find out which one is exactly yours, because different components have different BIOS settings. In case you're unsure which, feel free to look up on the internet using your exact serial number or product number on the box.

I succeded after few failed attempts but those fails were just because I haven't found the right bios in first attempt And ofc I am commenting from/with unbricked card and the feel I got after succes was like a ton of bricks felt of my chest :DD To others if the message "this program can't be ran in dos mode" just use specifically atiflash 4.17 (it worked for me at least) and if there is anymore problems just seek an answer in comments and answers to them. @@ermalshala8383 i think it have to do with UEFI / Legacy boot option. new pc mostly set to working on UEFI(only) by default so you have to work around and manage the boot option to work with Legacy
SOLUTION FOR ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE " CANNOT BE RUN IN DOS MODE" ERROR. The thing was to use an older version of atiflash.exe provided on this site www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/ I used bios.rom that I saved (bios.rom for gpus on that site can also be used for specific cards) before I fu**ed everything up, and I re-flashed gpu bios just like in the video and it was successful, gpu is now working! @Ermal Shala can't remember just a standard version, it's not really needed just reflash the bios to stock from a techpowerup file make sure it's the exact bios that matches the card. If you need to know more let me know. Don't even think I needed to use ati flash in the end and I've flashed loads of cards in the last year. What's the issue with the gpu
Thanks a lot, fixed my R9 270. Couldn't get the latest atiflash to work so used this version (4.17) and had no problems. I will also add that if your PC doesn't have an onboard GPU it doesn't matter, just create the boot drive on a laptop or another PC

@@markustrosterud6834 If your CPU have an integrated graphics, you can plug the HDMI cable to the motherboard, got to the bios and set it as primary display. When you get to the desktop just flash the gpu with it's original bios.

I bricked my 3070 ti after owning for maybe 2 hours last night. Lesson learned do not mess with dual bios switches while the pc is on, I'm aware it was a stupid thing to do and don't know why I did it. Luckily after a few stressful hours of messing around with nvflash I fixed it.
My 6700 is broken too after one month, whenever i turn on pc, gpu lights turn on but no screen and vga debug light turn on on mobo. I tried everything and nothing works. i have to mention that when i pull up the gpu a little(about 2-3 mm) it will boot to windows but after few minutes it will turn off again. Its not mobo issues bcuz i tested another gpu and it worked fine. Any advice?
@@pdr4m559 sounds like it's not making proper contact with the socket if it boots when you push it up a bit. Did it not come with a support bracket to stop it sagging? Unusual though, gpu sag generally doesn't cause problems other than looking a bit meh as long as the card is screwed to the case tightly enough.
@@somedude1149 actually its not sagging and firmly placed on mobo. i tried another card and it worked fine. I dont think its contact issues. I think i have to check the gpu on another mobo.
Yooo thank you very much, I was flashing my gpu bios and apparently I messed up trying to mess the fan control and it bricked my gpu. I have an GIGABYTE AMD R9 390, also I changed the voltages.
So i loaded a hynix mod on a mron gpu by accident since I have more than one gpu and they are all different. Good news is the fan still spins when I turn on the PC but I do run into the “Adapter not found“ Error 0FL01. I tried the 2 monitor trick but it didn't seem to work either. My pc won't run windows either it just keep restarting the computer if I don't run it in DOS

This worked for me after getting that error: Make sure you have integrated graphic turned on in bios like he shows in video. turn off computer and remove gpu. remove the usb dos stick, you don't need it. Now you should enter windows and remove all graphics drivers with the program "Display Driver Uninstaller". Now turn off computer and insert bricked gpu. if you are able to get in windows then you will be fine. Now just use the normal/new atiflash tool to flash your gpu with the old bios. then run the program "amd/ati pixel clock patcher". reboot and install amd blockchain driver.
after hours of trouble shooting I found out you can fix it by using your integrated gpu and run atiwinflash and do shift right click to access command prompt and do "atiwinflash.exe -f -p 0 bios.rom" before you do that though make sure you have 2 monitors one plugged into your mother other into your graphics card.
After physically putting my new MSI 1050 Ti into the PCI-e slot, my Debian 10 nonfree on a Dell allowed me to sign in my BIOS password and it began starting Debian (usual start-up screen), but then went black and stayed that way. After almost crying a few times and doing various things repeatedly, I finally hit F12 at start-up (with GPU in), then went into settings > display> and was allowed to select Nvidia there (before OS/Debian started). No video or advice online warned me that I might have to change it THERE- they all said I'd change it in Nvidia's control panel. Not sure if Dell or Debian made the difference, but unselecting 'integrated' worked. There was a 3rd option of 'auto', but I didn't try it. It took forever for my PC to boot up after that and I was afraid I failed. But, finally, all seems right/normal. We'll see how long that lasts, but I hope this helps at least ONE person. If so, my effort here was worth it.

CapuCom it’s somewhere in your bios. You can access your bios by pressing f2 or f8 depending on your pc. But every bios is different so you can google where those options are

Have a similar issue. Was trying to flash one of the cards in my system with HiveOS as the ROM I had flashed previously was for the wrong memory type (it was for Hynix and this card oddly has Samsung in it - MSI RX470 Gaming 4G). It was working (booting to desktop) but was unstable. Anyway I tried flashing this card with HiveOS and it killed both of my cards (even the one I didn't flash that was working perfectly with it's native bios). Now I've got black screens on both of them. Gonna try this method but I'm not holding too much hope if I'm honest - also never using HiveOS again.
@@jeromefurog It's a bit hazy now, but I recall bridging 2 pins on the bios IC, powering up, then disconnecting the bridge. There is a different video that describes the procedure. You'll have to search for it though.
I fixed this error. If you have a second bios on your card, boot it with the functioning bios. While in dekstop, switch to the bricked bios, flash it to the default and then restart your pc.
Bro i had to start the pc with just pci card not the pcie. Then booted and start windows. Then shut down and put im pcie card with pci still as gpu. Then when i saw graphics about to show i plughed on the power pins. Warning try not doing that at least 10 times before you do try it. And still it may not be recognized. Then i had to flash the bajesus out of it. I flashed like 3 times while still running on the pci card. Then eventually it recgonized it and i shit down took out pci card and ran off pcie and then i still flashed it like 4 more times. Boom worked for me. Good luck.

did you had to short pins 1 and 8 of the bios chip to reflash? what version of atflash did you use? did you flash it usind DOS?

You still need onboard graphics to display DOS after booting it from a USB.

U downloaded the wrong atiflash, you need to download dos version not windows, there are different versions

CapuCom it’s somewhere in your bios. You can access your bios by pressing f2 or f8 depending on your pc. But every bios is different so you can google where those options are
CapuCom also you’re PCIe slot might not be compatible with your graphics card bc they aren’t backwards compatible

I've got this far and am also getting "adapter not found", guessing it can't read the gpu. Odd as it shows up in windows, just doesn't want to flash anywhere!
"Adaptor not found". MSI RX580. My initial problem was when system hung during a flash. Not card appears to be bricked. If anyone has an idea what to do, let me know.
Have a similar issue. Was trying to flash one of the cards in my system with HiveOS as the ROM I had flashed previously was for the wrong memory type (it was for Hynix and this card oddly has Samsung in it - MSI RX470 Gaming 4G). It was working (booting to desktop) but was unstable. Anyway I tried flashing this card with HiveOS and it killed both of my cards (even the one I didn't flash that was working perfectly with it's native bios). Now I've got black screens on both of them. Gonna try this method but I'm not holding too much hope if I'm honest - also never using HiveOS again.

@@jeromefurog It's a bit hazy now, but I recall bridging 2 pins on the bios IC, powering up, then disconnecting the bridge. There is a different video that describes the procedure. You'll have to search for it though.
Hi guz, with "C:\>atiflash.exe -f -p 0 bios.rom" comand I get "Adapter not found" but my bricked card was already connected.

Guys if u cant change peg to igd, try putting the gpu while pc powering up. It will give display and recognize the video card.

Check if the card is enable in device manager. If its not then enable it.
If that doesnt solve your problem then your card might not be reviveable.
I fixed this error.
If you have a second bios on your card, boot it with the functioning bios.
While in dekstop, switch to the bricked bios, flash it to the default and then restart your pc.

what happens when you don't have an IGPU and the pci won't work while you have the bricked card installed?
Bro i had to start the pc with just pci card not the pcie. Then booted and start windows. Then shut down and put im pcie card with pci still as gpu. Then when i saw graphics about to show i plughed on the power pins. Warning try not doing that at least 10 times before you do try it. And still it may not be recognized. Then i had to flash the bajesus out of it. I flashed like 3 times while still running on the pci card. Then eventually it recgonized it and i shit down took out pci card and ran off pcie and then i still flashed it like 4 more times. Boom worked for me. Good luck.
I’m getting the adaptor not found message. Checked power connection and fan is running on GPU so I know that’s not the issue.

Amit Yadav swap the card to the other PCIE slot. It helped me
This worked for me after getting that error: Make sure you have integrated graphic turned on in bios like he shows in video. turn off computer and remove gpu. remove the usb dos stick, you don't need it. Now you should enter windows and remove all graphics drivers with the program "Display Driver Uninstaller". Now turn off computer and insert bricked gpu. if you are able to get in windows then you will be fine. Now just use the normal/new atiflash tool to flash your gpu with the old bios. then run the program "amd/ati pixel clock patcher". reboot and install amd blockchain driver.

+Music sometimes gpu overrides the IGD, there's often a setting hidden In the bios to stop that. What motherboard do you have?

I asume you would need yo have “nvflash” for Nvidia GPU’s and it cannot be run in DOS mode...
Nvflash 5.163 is the DOS version and its possible to run it from USB drive like the guy in this video did.
X1950GT, windows detects it but wont load drivers. Think it was a bad flash? AMDflash/ATIflash DOS/Windows do NOT detect it. So, how to reflash it?
What version of Windows are you trying to use that on? The last driver for that card was released 12 years ago for vista.
@@F7GOS Win10 but the fact Win10 SEES it but AMD/ATIFlash WONT... thats why I can't reflash it.. and I have tried with the unlockrom option and selecting PCIE slots to flash, whatever I do they wont do it cos they can#t see it
