So i was correct then, Memory Chip . That was my first thoughts when you read out the description, it was the resolution statement that made me think this :) Glad to be vindicated by you good sir. Keep up the great work/Videos as im learning a ton from you, well learning Other things that i Dont know and great for refreshing the memory if you will :) Cheers .
Hello, Richard, I hope you are well, you certainly look like that you are, I love your tutorials very much, and look forward to everyone. Thank you keep up the good work my friend.
Hi Richard, Thanks for the video, I really enjoy your content... would have liked to see what tserver says about that memory fault as i dont really trust the python script.
Hello, Could you tell me the value of the C708(near the power connector), on the front side from the comparing card (witchi think is a Saphire), thank you
FYI re the memory ordering 2 you get AliExpress Standard Shipping vs AE Saver Shipping for 1 memory chip. Gets there faster and is trackable to your door. Came across that before on AE when ordering multiple items
i had that problem. I fixed it by flashing the bios of the card. When i had ordered it I did not tell the warehouse that I was planning to use it for gaming. The card worked well until recently when i realized that my motherboard stopped reading my ram cards. I used this as an excuse to upgrade my pc. Now i have a Nvidia 3060ti with ray tracing.
It's a bit funny to run into that video because like 3 days ago I had something pretty similar It just started at specific games with a no video out driver crash and went away with a driver reinstall until the cycle is repeated. But it seems to have vanished after flipping the bios switch front and pushing in the power cable more. Anyways if it's not gone for good I at least have an idea what it could be, trough the occt memory test ran without issue. Also I was curios and GPU-Z doesn't give me a clock reading either, but the amd software and HWinfo64 do.
Cause of that code error 43 most of the time 80% was the bad vram memory chips, u need to diagnose it with the memory tester used by manufacturer to test the vrams
Hi KIMMY0312 Is a problem with the linux script I used to test the Vram? When you say 'memory tester used by manufacturer' is that some other software (Tserver?) or some hardware I don't know about? Cheers.
I have a gtx 770 windforce 4gb with the exact same err46 issue so I suspect one of the memory chips are at fault. Is it age or overclocking that causes this problem?
When testing amd it would be good to try a Linux live iso. AMD drivers are built into the OS's/distro's. Just to see the difference between how it behaves with windows.
Sorry, I sent that before ai finished the video. I see you did use a Linux testing setup. On a different, there is a noticeable low-level hiss on the audio in this video. Just an FYI.
AliExpress shipping calculator makes no sense, ever. Especially if you look at the other shipping options they offer. Typically there's one that costs hundreds of times more and is estimated to arrive the same time or later than the reasonably priced ones.
Pex is a shortened way (slang?) of saying PCIe Express. On a GPU, Pex refers to the voltage rail that powers the part of the GPU chip which is responsible for the communication between the PCIe slot on the motherboard and the GPU itself. It is typically 0.9V
The point of this channel is really to help people learn how to fix stuff for themselves. Also to buy stuff and fix it as a hobby for profit. I fix a lot of stuff just for the educational value, though this was sent to me by a subscriber to see if I could fix it - obviously he did not know the cause of the problem before hand and I offer a no fix no fee repair service, so maybe he will decide the cost of parts plus labour isn't worth it, really the choice is not mine to make.

Yes a great source of interest if only I had the time to study all this.....
Thanks once again for sharing your knowledge. 👍

Heya, yes practice makes perfect. still it's tough here in my country to find pcb to practice on, but still keep on searching.
Very helpfull vidéo thank you

Hello Richard, did you continue with this repair? It had the good ending? 🙂
Please help i have this script but it always give same results even i change to other gpu it still gives same errors as 1st time.

Ahh OK, that makes more sense then 🙂

Yeah unfortunately flashing the BIOS did not help in this case. Just goes to show you can have the same symptoms caused by different faults

I have a GTX 1050ti when I install the 2017 drivers it works but when I install the 2024 drivers it says error code 43

i have an rx 570 4gb with code 43. definetely gonna give that linux bootable thingy a try
Could you do a 1660 super repair of any kind i would love to see that get repaired

wow good

I’d suggest using tserver instead of that python script… it’s not very accurate as tserver. Micron mem is known for failing at somempoint…
😍😍😍😍😍

Thank you very much!
I have a 6700xt that 2 dudes gave back for free because they couldnt fix the 43 error code they were both older engineers so idk
Can't imagine paying labor to fix a dated GPU which can be bought used for less than repair cost. Hope it's worth your while.
