That 30 second Mario rice commercial had more animation budget than the entirety of the Super Mario World DIC cartoon
Both ads I'd say. They were produced by the same animation team behind the Mario anime movie that got recently remastered. Mario even in that also defeats Bowser by spin throwing him towards the end. There's a third commercial but it wasn't included here, a fourth basically just recycles animation from the movie.
DIC
@Scootaluigi I like pfp.
But it didn't have the live action segments from the Super Show.
... Yeah? I can imagine
I just love how Vinny's 'poop' creation AI repeatedly disobeys his will and re-enables extremely loud clips.
That's a good argument for free will honestly
16:04 “Wow wow, everyone, let’s see what Daisy’s doing today!”
_destroys ears_
Definitely my favorite part here
"Have we run out of the most bizarre, wacky commercials?"
Trust me when I say this: I've got much more coming your way.
a threat
@@alexoxo1 an existential one
@@MrWolfSnack lol
9:00 Proof that pasta is not Mario's only form of cereal grain sustenance.
He ate exactly that rice combo in the Super Mario Bros. anime movie
It's not a Classic Game Commercials stream without Vinny saying "I thought I turned that off".
41:14
Time-stamping for the pleasing pixel rotoscoping
38:35
Vinny realizing the Chungusfication
😏😏😏
There was a period in the 90s where every Japanese videogame commercial was voiced by Japan's answer to Gilbert Gottfried
22:42 Narrator of this TwinBee TV commercial, is a famous voice actor who regularly dubbed Yoda since 1980 (ESB) to 2014 (Clone Wars). I was scared because Yoda suddenly started shouting maniacally in my head.
41:14 This is really high quality. What a cool concept to show off your games.
exactly
Vinny, if you see this, the actor from the Wario Ware DS ad who was brushing his teeth was Stuart Charno. You have seen him before as the killer in the third season X-Files episode “Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose”.
He also had minor roles in Friday the 13th pt. 2 and Christine.
I knew he looked familiar.
54:18 - That's the most bizarre pronunciation of the word 'karaoke' I've ever heard.
I can’t unhear it now 😂😂😂
koroki
here's an idea for the commercial segment bingo
1. Something comes out of the TV
2. Bored announcer
3. Vinny forgets to turn off the sparta remix
4. Vinny says "this is just pure brainrot/sensory overload/(synonym)"
5. Something japanese makes vinny laugh
6. Vinny says "that is horrendously loud."/something loud happens
7. Vinny says "I thought I turned that off."
8. Crash bandicoot shows up
9. Someone gets blown away by the TV
10. Someone is in a jabroni device
11. Sony has fuckin weird commercials
12. Console Wars
13. Play it loud
14. A commercial is so odd that vinny questions his life choices
15. something hilarious happens in a commercial/new meme discovered
16. PSP sketchy "hi pussy" era commercial
17. Commercial is not related to videogames
18. Pokemon shows up
19. Mario is in an odd situation
20. Adult joke in a commercial
21. Granny cream
22. Old timey footage used in a commercial for some reason
23. Commercial audio sounds like it was underwater
24. DMCA audio plays
25. Tommy Wiseau shows up/gets cut off
26. Commercial calls you a baby
27. Tucker shows up
28. Commercial has almost nothing to do with the videogame
29. The beatles show up because of course
30. Sex line
31. Kirby tortured in some way
32. Commercial boasts how "real" it feels
33. Vinny laughs at fuzzymemories.tv

here's some commercials more in the classic style of the earlier commercial segments

they're not videogames but lunchables got a whole army of commercials
37. Blade Runner (take a shot)
Should we have one for "something blows up from coolness", or will we just immediately all win?
@@i_teleported_bread7404 lmao yeah EXPLOSIONS
9:48 sounds much like "spread ye ass to the track, until a giant boot fits".
I loved the slow realization of Big Chungus' illustruous presence. The clip being in slo-mo just made it better.
I'm playing the "jump into the TV" drinking game Vinny suggested not to play and so far I gotta say I wasted my money on this liquor.
If you havent watched the previous commercials stream, you could play that game on it
@@diegoaguilar1954 The drinking game where you spend 80% of the time debating whether or not to take each shot
This has officially over taken corruptions as my favorite Sunday stream segment. Idk why it’s just fun
the corruptions these days are more like ghetto ROM hacks anyways.
bit of nostalgia i guess, if you're 24-30
It's comfortable.
6:23 why did that just sound like Vinny's loud Star Wars theme corruption. Was expectin another laughing fit lmao
Which video has that corruption
9:48 I like that Vinny immediately does a Joel impression when he hears "funny car madness"
There were indeed five "Twisted Metal" games on the PS1. The fifth was "Twisted Metal: Small Brawl", which featured the characters as kids controlling RC versions of the cars from the series. It was made at the same time as "Twisted Metal: Black" for the PS2 and by the same developer (Incognito Software, a.k.a. Incog Inc. Entertainment).
Small Brawl was good shit - I played that game to death. It was Incognito's answer to "Toy Commander" on the dreamcast was well as RE/Volt
58:24 I USED TO HEAR THIS SONG SO MUCH ON THE LATINO MIX STATION ON THE RADIO IN MY MOMS CAR AS A KID HOW DID THIS END UP IN THE YTP GENERATORS LOL
47:54 hang on, is there actually a character named debug in the final game or did they record footage for the final commercial in debug mode and left in the shots with a character named "debug"???
Is that "debug" or "debu6" with "debu" being japanese for "fatty"?
I actually really like that rotoscoped pixel animation or whatever you want to call it in that Intellivision commercial
that was such a cool thing
I like how they embrace the pixels instead of calling them "the most advanced graphics ever"
man i know Tom Kane has been around for a long while in the voice work scene, but he did a bunch of OLD game commercial narration!
Enjoy preliminary retirement, Tom. You had that strong voice for years even before most of us got to know it.
Vinny pulled a Joel and actually called the number
13:45 "ubisoft made ray-nipple"
& "Acid Weed"
13:56 "AAA GAYGAAA"
14:29 classic YTP line right here... OK fine I'll stop for now...
15:54 ohh wow... I havnt seen this show in so long... it's been like what, 10 years since I've last seen it...?
16:15 let me just make it louder real quick, make sure I can't hear...
17:58 I think it was Logan's Shadow or a different one, but we had the PS2 one that let you select your guns, and the one I remember most is the G11 and the scoped desert eagle, and one of the missions was in a train yard/warehouse, good game tho...
18:56 Jagtendoes what Jagtenants.
19:29 as the famous Vsauce Joey once said; "OMEGA NOOT!!!
24:57 Lidlewise...
26:50 and to think Dall of Cuty didn't have enough shoot...
29:45 now we know what happened to Mr. Noodle after Sesame Street, he was murdered my a telepathic 13 year old in his bathroom while trying to get ready for work, how tragic...
35:12 what... like updog? I mean I've heard of it but, I don't play it...
36:59 most intense midroll ever...
40:46 what you see/hear in the deepest parts of the ocean...
46:09 coupons? like for groceries or what? cause I know a few people that like coupons...
49:10 OH really? I'll just go ahead an call MatPat up right now since you're so confident...
50:10 I think Zonk stands for Zoomer Bonk...
53:20 um yes, I'd like to speak to Satan please... yes I can hold... [53:27 not gonna lie, I havnt seen this stream, as always, an made the previous joke preemptively, please keep in mind as I was not aware that Vinyald Saucington had already made this joke...]
57:19 my brain is melting into steamy plasma by this point...
57:58 my favorite part... over all...
That "OMG" had me rolliing
20:25 From now on I will call the Jordan vs. Bird: One on One video game "Jordanbird"
😂😂😂😂
"I don't understand why people like this segment."
- the man who invented Gray Leno
Fun fact - the gray leno video bit caused his subs count to fall
The Tempest 2000 marketing was a reference to "old meets new", probably referencing the fact that Tempest hit the arcades in 1981, and Tempest 2000 came out in 1994...games released 13 years apart in one of the most technologically tumultuous periods in history...think about the difference between what computing was like in 1981 vs 1994.
When i was a young child i would tell everyone i was just like Mario because i also liked to eat spaghetti with no sauce
I never catch you live, but I binge your VoDs often- and the classic game commercials segments are some of my favorite
The loud YTPs were hilarious
true
I unironically only laugh when the poop is loud
The song is Dungeon Explorer - Dungeon 2 btw. Start it on 0:30 seconds. You can find it in TH-cam
8:32 The world's first Gay Bowser.
Only without him saying it
@@Jothomas214 He was still in the closet back then, you see
8:58, its advertising reloadable cards (I think?) and furikake (furikake is rice, fish or vegtable toppings, usually seaweed, sesame seeds, dried fish and some salt and sugar)
@@Enecororo97 Thanks I was not sure cause they look similar
16:05 Wowwow wubbzy visits Tommy Wiseau’s house and they shatter everyone’s eardrums
lmaoo
25:14 - I think the last Twisted Metal they did was on the PS3 and it was panned for adding way too many gimmicks to its single player game (the worst was 'chase the forcefield', where you take damage when outside of the forcefield and it actively tries to avoid you), as well as locking most of its characters behind insanely difficult challenges. It's no wonder the game killed the franchise.
I know Vinny prefers over the top commercials for this segment but the normal commercials and chill discussion about games and nostalgia are awesome, I'm all here for this either way
Christ.... you mentioned AOL ANT (aka. Antagonist, Inc.), way to make me feel old Vinny.
I hung out on the FFVII board constantly, we probably crossed paths a few times.
You are the ONLY other person I know who used ANT, I download so many game demos from there, and found out about so many games I never would have!
laughed harder than i should've, 13:53
Virtua Cop Clips unlock my deep memories
Although I know this isn't one of your favorite things, I appreciate that it was for charity! I do get major nostalgia with the SNES, Gameboy Color, and PS1 commercials. The TH-cam Poops were hilarious for this one, I like there was the video of you sneezing in there lol that was pretty great. Just wanted to say thank you Vin and all the other streamers/friends that took part in something for such a great cause, you guys all are very kind hearted. ❤

30:34 i thought the voiceover was vinny for a second
15:54 I can't believe Vinny got jumpscared by Wubbzy from Wow Wow Wubbzy of all people
The commercials are working, Binny has learned of games to try. Loom is great, not very long and I never found the puzzles too obtuse. Also, the magic system is music-based and that’s something I’d love to see more of.
Welcome to #11 of "I thought I turned that off"
21:40 - People nowadays in the era of online gaming don't understand why the kid is saying, 'It's MY turn!'.
big fan of how booti mentioned zoop being poop right before the ytp generator actually took that segment and vertically mirrored the logo to say "poop"
At 20:13, is that the intro to the Astral Observatory music from Majora's Mask...?? Or is that just a coincidence?
I HEAR IT
It's like Vinny always knows when I need this the most.
ikr
I bought a classic video game commercials DVD at a Phoenix Comic Con a few years ago and its a blast to watch. There are quite a few repeats on it but its a blast to watch, especially since its just a drag and drop burn DVD so its a mix bag of quality and repeats of commericals.
15:31 I still want to know where that robotic cat came from
Hey Vinny, the Dungeon Explorer theme you're talking about is Dungeon 2. It starts around 30 seconds in.
17:05 Baragon's roar from the Godzilla movies
More classic game commercials. Yes!
11? Let's go!
"Shoot enough guns". Got me real good
loud noises are ALWAYS funny
The slo-mo Big Chungus killed me.
Slo-mo AND vocoded, only the best from ytp+
Not the first time Vinny's generator pulled from Wabbit Twouble.
In another commercial stream it only generated Bugs' "phooey!" for a generated cutaway.
7:45
1995-1996 Chevrolet Caprice Estate Wagon
The Super Mario Kart Ad had me in tears 😭🤣
this is some incredible game history
Did Dan Southworth (Vergil from DMC) play as Sweet Tooth in that commercial?
bold of vinny to tell chat his birthday two weeks in advance
47:55 - I like how his name is Debug.
Loom is mentioned in the first Monkey island game, and even the remaster! A guy you meet wears a badge saying ‘Ask Me About Loom’ and we won’t say anything until you do.
Where is that bad megaman costume that showed up in the ytps from?
4:18 My boi Howard The Alien in his early days
Yes Vinny I still use AOL and no I'm not old. I'm 30. Used it since I was 11. The AOL web browser that you install on your PC to dial in still exists but in 2015 or 2016 it was changed to a premium pay-to-use program on top of what you already pay on your internet (paying twice to access the internet gotta lover a dying company). AOL is now focused on being just a browser website and mail server which I still use.
God twisted metal 4 was my jam back in the day
Played it until my psx laser carved a dreamcast logo into the disc and it didnt read anymore. Loved the frag screams and music. Discovered Ghoulspoon thanks to that game.
That was your Playstation giving you a preview of what was coming. 😂 "it's thinking."
16:04 the moment where wubbzy kills himself that daizy does not count
Yay more Commercials! Funny thing I was the person who asked Vinny when there was gonna be more Game Commercials in the Kirby finale stream. So good to see that you had some commercials ready for this Sunday Stream! Also nice Charity Event!
16:15
Why is this funny? 🤣
*OH MY GOD*
Aw I missed the corruptions and poop, damn you early sleep schedule!
I need GIFs of Mario eating rice, dood.
That rotoscoped Intellivision ad was actually really cool, surprised that was done in the 80s
We must question the authenticity of the clowns in this commercial for the sake of all clowns who are currently out of work
27:37 are parts of this at higher than 30fps for other people too? When he runs, and the gameplay, and when the flags fly up at the end, it seems like its 50-60hz instead of just 25-30
How can you even tell.
@@gachajandro2229 just by looking, but if you can't tell visually initially, it becomes really obvious if you turn it to 0.25x speed, then compare the bits in the beginning to the bit where the kids reading magazines turn their heads. you're looking at 7.5fps for the 30fps bits vs 15fps for the 60fps bits and it becomes really noticeable. especially when the camera is showing gameplay and cuts back to them playing, it's way different frame rates. don't focus on the player sprites, focus on the ball movement and the camera panning across the volleyball field, the sprites don't have enough states to animate at full rate, but the ball animation and scene panning is done through code so it updates full rate. also, the ending flag raise makes it obvious it's 50hz, at least for that bit, since there's a dropped frame causing a stutter every few frames, which can happen when playing 50hz media on a 60hz display.
japan's power grid is/was weird, some regions operated at 50hz while others at 60hz, screen refresh is determined by the power signal, europe's 50hz PAL standard was because their power alternates at 50hz. US/NTSC/NTSC-J is 60hz.
personally i can only really tell the difference in ranges of framerates, 15vs30 is very obvious as is 30vs60, 60vs80+ takes a few seconds to notice, once I'm looking at something over 75 vs something else over 75 I can't really tell anymore which is which.
49:11 But hey thats just a theory... A GAME THEORY!!!!
A recent upload with a ton of these including some classics- th-cam.com/video/dTJ1Xf_EItA/w-d-xo.html
It's back!!!!!!!!!
AOL keyword ant is how I got all my video game cheat codes
