Vinny: "I dont think we're gonna see very much Tomb Raider after this pack is done." Lara Croft, looking directly at the camera without missing a beat: "You'll be seeing more of me soon."
13:09 - I love how Vinny brings this up to remind folks about not seeing as much after this pack. But then Lara Croft later says "You'll be seeing more of me on Xbox 360". Funny timing in a way. Lol
1:55:39 So fun facts about this commercial as someone who grew up in Hawai'i - this is performed by Frank Delima, who was a comedian that everyone in the 90's/2000's and onward grew up with seeing on TV plenty In original 'Ōlelo Hawai'i, the term used for Grandmother is kūkū wahine, but over time as Hawaiian Pidgin became a new combined language featuring all of the different ethnicities that came to Hawai'i during the plantation era (Portuguese, Filipino, Japanese, Samoan, etc.), the word "Tutu" became equivalent to grandmother/old woman, in the same way some people say Nana or other similar grandmother words. So when they're referring to tutu, they mean it as grandmother and not the ballerina tutu, and The Cab I believe at the time was marketing towards an older market (before Uber/Lyft existed) as a service that can safely transport your elderly loved ones like a regular cab service rather than have them drive, so it's supposed to be a double joke of "for your tutu (grandmother)" , but also the number being "4 2 2 - 2 2 2 2" being that there's three grandmothers in every commercial "4 tutu , tutu, tutu" , so in the plentiful amount of Frank Delima The Cab commercials, those three versions of him as a Tutu wearing full Mu'umu'u Hawaiian Dress were always present
1:55:22 For Context, the word "Tutu" in Hawaiian slang means grandmother, hence the constant repeating of 2. The guy in the commercial who is in drag is a local Hawaiian comedian As a Hawaiian I totally apologize
47:46 Fun fact if you care about yokai: that yokai is based on the Okkeruipe, which looks like a fox but pulls pranks on people by farting. But my personal favorite is the Pittapatt, based on Bakezōri, which is just a sandal.

1:02:07 - 1:05:58 I'm surprised Pepsi hasn't tried to revive Pepsiman given his current and now international popularity with zoomers and millennials. I mean they already do a ton of nostalgia bait marketing like with crystal pepsi (which is literally just pepsi without the coloring, there is nothing different) and occasionally going back to the old label. I mean if Domino's can revive the Noid after all that happened regarding him, it's not like it would be outlandish. Translation: I want more Pepsiman PepsiCo. And not just in Japan this time! >:(

1:55:39 Minor context no one asked for but I'll post it anyways, the guy in this commercial is Frank De Lima, a comedian that's a local celebrity of sorts over in Hawaii. He was in a fuckton of commercials especially for TheCab and you could probably find a compilation of all the different ones he's done for them. Literally everybody knew him and he even came to my school once. Felt surreal suddenly hearing this on Vinny's stream because you heard this commercial playing all the time around... late '00 and early '10 I guess? Nice to see him. No idea what he's doing today tbh.
I remember when he came to my school - might've happened a few times, but memory is at a premium in this economy. he told stories of dudes getting into fights over these commercials (in taco bell pizza huts, of all places) because they misremembered the phone number. one of them was so certain that the number was "533-3333," and they'd turn to him and ask who was right since it was the early 2000's and cell phones didn't have much Internet-browsing capabilities. I don't remember how he'd end the story, but I think it was something like him having to sing and dance to the jingle - and only THEN was he able to order his turbo cholesterol quesadildo 9000 or whatever in peace. I don't even know how reliable this memory is now that I've typed it out and processed just how fuckin weird it is. it feels right with what I know of the guy, but also I think the red hill water poisoning might have given me brain worms or something.
oh I'm so stupid and on mobile, don't know how to edit comments on mobile, but the main thing I wanted to say was that the punch line went over vinny's head since the submitter didn't include that "tutu" is hawaiian for "auntie," also used locally as a way to refer any older woman you'd wanna be respectful with in a more casual way (like "your longtime bestie's mom" level ig). theres an actual joke here I promise. Copium. this commercial is funny I swear. Copium.
3:24 knew the guy who owned that store. His shop closed like a year ago. Mike was a good dude, but this commercial, lmaooo. He still has a website though that he does his business
If I said the old cod machinima style commercials don’t remind me of a better time I would be lying, miss those days the commercials have so much charm to me
Was it Love's Baby Soft? They had a magazine ad that had a little girl wearing a fur coat with the headline "innocence is sexier than you think"...the ad was probably also from around '75. Keep in mind that the '70's was also the decade that brought us "Pretty Baby", a movie that had Brooke Shields doing nude scenes at age 8-10 or so. The 70's were really fucking creepy in a lot of ways.
1. My favorite Kids WB commercial is probably the one where Batman sings the Jigglypuff song (RIP Kevin Conroy). 2. Last I checked, the Doge dog is actually still alive. She’s 17 years old and went blind a couple years ago, but she seems happy.
For those of you wondering what 16:12 was, its a powder ad that's got some seriously oof Lolita vibes. But its not so much the infantilized model that makes it bad, but the narrator who sounds like a mafiaso interrogating you being illegally perverted. "The innocent scent of a cuddly clean baby. That grew up very sexy."
I loved seeing some of the local commercials from different places. Reminds me of some of the ads on tv where I live. They really have the same kind of bad acting and cheesy skits everywhere.
Asinine Advertisements is the name i came up with, i like it because it also leaves room for print ads to be a part of this segment (there are a lot of wild ones for video games that would be fun to look at like those Command and Conquer ads from the 90s, among other ads in Nintendo power and other video game magazines) also, i DID in fact dump Yu-Gi-Oh lore in chat because it's incredibly important to know that a young Japanese child with wild hair is possessed by the soul of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh with equally wild hair, this is required information to know.
I just want to thank Vinny for doing these streams bc I remember being fucking 10 years old and they only way to watch someone react to old commercials was Doug walker nostalgia critic
1:13:35 I know this commercial wasn't THAT long ago, but for some reason this one specific Wendy's commercial is just... I didn't need to remember this existed, and it's lodged deep in my memories for some fucking reason, lodged between Education Connection and "813-96-GLASS, 813-96-GLASS. WE TURN YOUR BROKEN GLASS INTO COLD HARD CASH. AUTOGLAAAASS AMERICA"
The Pepsiman commercials just made me realize that he and the Burger King mascot share the same energy, only he comes running at you unexpectedly at high velocity to bring you Pepsi, while the King will slow and sneakily appear unexpected with a BK Meal Item
I'm honestly impressed by Vinnys ability to withstand the pleas of chat, like when he just vetoed the cursed 1975 commercial. Jerma would crumple under the will of chat
the ouya commercial reminding me of its existence made me find out that the ouya, similar to the dreamcast, still has a dedicated small community of homebrew developers who make stuff for the console using their own bypasses to get through the official online firmware that shut down
@@mostverticalproductions4808 Basically during the Android segment in 2019 someone snuck a pair of fake apps one containing hentai by the robot girl enthusist Zedrin containing and the other being Megaman Legends hentai. (Of the character Tron Bonne), the user who submitted the apps was a mod trying to get Vinny banned for sexual content. The second time Vinny was freaking livid and dropped several C Bombs, Tron became an in joke for a while with people calling it a Tron Bonne incident. That was probably the angriest Vinny has been on Steam, as it was an active attempt to sabbotage his career.
As a native WNYer, I have seen basically all of the mighty taco, William matar, and airport jewelers commercials This segment was like whiplash for me Also CUYUHRAAAYZEEE BYUTT
@@cowboyluigi5275 I didn't want to add too much WNY to the first pack; there are even still a few more WNY ones in the 1st pack to get to next time though. I did find a Salvatore's ad for the 2nd pack tho once I get that compiled 🤫🤐
Yo-Ka Watch is actually an amazing game. The premise is that the spirits known as Yo-Kai have an effect on people's emotions, bodily functions, and even strange worldly phenomena such as things suddenly not working. As for the "Pokemon" thing, it's actually more similar to SMT or Persona with how you recruit and fuse them.
The series has 5 games in Japan, 3 or 4 got imported to USA. First 3 games (1, 2A, 2B) were SUPER dirt cheap like $5. Now they go for like $60 minimum. The 3rd game was the very LAST 3DS game in North America. Unfortunately we never got the fourth game on Switch due to Level-5 shutting down. RIP :(
Yo-kai Watch 3 was basically one of the last 3DS games to come out, and it fucking rules. There's an unbelievable amount of stuff to do in that game. I wish more people had given it a chance back when they were actually trying to promote the franchise over here.
Unfortunately, Video Game Underground is no longer a brick-and-morter establishment; it's all online-only. I remember seeing their commercials on TV back in the day when I lived about half a hour away from them, so it's always a nice surprise seeing them here.
I love seeing my old commercials being reviewed online as well. I laughed out loud when he actually said that Zuckerberg make my commercial or the characters.. I will be back in one way shape or form in the original address on Sylvania in the tiny building.
@@webofhair Didn't think I'd ever receive a reply from the store owner! IDK what anyone else thinks, the VGU jingle still absolutely slaps, lol. Best of luck @ your new location!
in regards to the "To Michael" ad....the Omaha beach part is rough. dont bring real world tragedy into your funny commercial. but the concept of video game characters honoring the player for helping fulfill their story/destiny is sweet. i kinda like that one.
The mobile game ads are always on a whole different level of cursed. Even the weird-ass Playstation commercials we've seen at least still feel like they were made by human beings
The man has the option to enter video games, and he uses this incredible power to get some peanut butter. It's not what i'd do with that ability but you do you.
Just letting you know Yugi is 18 in the DSOD movie, while Yami Yugi/Atem is 3000+ years old (5000+ years old in the 4Kids dub). Yugi's age in the actual anime series was never mentioned anywhere else I guess.
Kinda mad at Chat for confusing Yugi for a Pokemon protagonist. I'm fairly certain at the beginning of the series they were first or second year high schoolers. It's been high school since the early manga!
@@YourLovelyMajesty Yeah, leave it to twitch chat to confidently scream the wrong answer. If I recall correctly, the early manga explicitly states his age to be 16.
when vinny brought up jerma was also watching commercials i started to think about the idea of them both watching the same ones, like in a watch party, and did a duel commentary stream.
"He's possessed by an ancient pharaoh, which is why his voice is dudular" isn't a sentence I even knew was possible in the English language. I need more Yu-gi-oh lore dump in chat.
That Dodd's furniture guy is from my island, was really crazy to see. He's actually well liked in the community and was really big on charity fundraisers / giving back to the community and supporting local arts

34:05 that was an absolutely delightful commercial, I am not one to laugh much but that got me
54:08 Vinny's fucking reaction to that clip fucking killed me holy shit 💀 I am not alive
*”Th- fuck was that?”*
😂💀
This is my favorite segment IMO
1:14:24 this is perfectly timed
Same I love well guess it's not solely Classic game commercials anymore but still been a fan of this segment
"You're out, I'm in, the people want more commercials"
Damn that's a deep cut
pieces of paper have given me deeper cuts
He says "You're out, I'm in, the people want more vin" pretty regularly still.
29:50 Pokémon monopoly from the 90s was pretty cool. It even had inhale mechanics for battling for someone else’s Pokémon (property)
Actual mad props to the funky ass furniture store dude for trying to be hip n’ cool with the kids. It’s an admirable if weird effort.
Badvertising was pretty good, my favourite of what's been suggested
1. My favorite Kids WB commercial is probably the one where Batman sings the Jigglypuff song (RIP Kevin Conroy).
2. Last I checked, the Doge dog is actually still alive. She’s 17 years old and went blind a couple years ago, but she seems happy.
"I feel like Pepsi Man gives good dome" - Vinny "Melpert" Vinesauce 2023
bio-dome
For those of you wondering what 16:12 was, its a powder ad that's got some seriously oof Lolita vibes. But its not so much the infantilized model that makes it bad, but the narrator who sounds like a mafiaso interrogating you being illegally perverted.
"The innocent scent of a cuddly clean baby. That grew up very sexy."
what the fuck
what the fuck
27:30 My god, that commercial unlocked memories I didn't even know I had of watching it all those years ago on TV
Vinny watching the commercial: it’s ok i guess
Jerma watching the commercial: 🎶 get connected for free🕺 at education connection 💃
I loved seeing some of the local commercials from different places. Reminds me of some of the ads on tv where I live. They really have the same kind of bad acting and cheesy skits everywhere.
Asinine Advertisements is the name i came up with, i like it because it also leaves room for print ads to be a part of this segment (there are a lot of wild ones for video games that would be fun to look at like those Command and Conquer ads from the 90s, among other ads in Nintendo power and other video game magazines)
also, i DID in fact dump Yu-Gi-Oh lore in chat because it's incredibly important to know that a young Japanese child with wild hair is possessed by the soul of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh with equally wild hair, this is required information to know.
Adtrocities really is a good segment name, strong recommend.
The Pepsiman commercials just made me realize that he and the Burger King mascot share the same energy, only he comes running at you unexpectedly at high velocity to bring you Pepsi, while the King will slow and sneakily appear unexpected with a BK Meal Item
Then the Kool-Aid Man destroys another wall.
I'm honestly impressed by Vinnys ability to withstand the pleas of chat, like when he just vetoed the cursed 1975 commercial. Jerma would crumple under the will of chat
the ouya commercial reminding me of its existence made me find out that the ouya, similar to the dreamcast, still has a dedicated small community of homebrew developers who make stuff for the console using their own bypasses to get through the official online firmware that shut down
the difference being with the ooya its not worth it.
For once he actually did manage to turn off the Sparta remix. I was kinda hoping he didn’t.
That thing just didn't want to die
I only watch the YTP segments for Sparta. It's the sole time you ever hear him get mad over anything.
@@mostverticalproductions4808
Does the name "Tronne Bonne" ring any bells to you?
Particularly her on mobile phones.
@@_-Lx-_ it doesn't, but I bet it would be one for the history books, lad.
@@mostverticalproductions4808
Basically during the Android segment in 2019 someone snuck a pair of fake apps one containing hentai by the robot girl enthusist Zedrin containing and the other being Megaman Legends hentai.
Vinny should watch Yu-Gi-Oh, he'd really relate to Joey Wheeler.
Yeah I could definitely see that
TIME WHIZZAD
STATEN RAGE
RED-EYES BLÆCK DRÆGON!
As a native WNYer, I have seen basically all of the mighty taco, William matar, and airport jewelers commercials

@@M_ad_Clown how could you NOT include Russel Salvatore’s cinematic masterpieces?
although i suppose it’s more material for next time
@@darkjanggo awesome cars, great dealership, lousy jingle.
@@cowboyluigi5275 I didn't want to add too much WNY to the first pack; there are even still a few more WNY ones in the 1st pack to get to next time though. I did find a Salvatore's ad for the 2nd pack tho once I get that compiled 🤫🤐
That dodge ad gave me the ability to make a sound that I've never done in my life and probably will never do again.
Thanks.
"This song won a Grammy"
Was this the same chat member who tricked Jerma?! 😅
And they have CRAAAZZYY BYYYUTTTT
The series has 5 games in Japan, 3 or 4 got imported to USA. First 3 games (1, 2A, 2B) were SUPER dirt cheap like $5. Now they go for like $60 minimum. The 3rd game was the very LAST 3DS game in North America.
Unfortunately we never got the fourth game on Switch due to Level-5 shutting down. RIP :(
It outsold Omega Ruby.
@@JeskidoYT manga is actually still going, has a chance to come back
Yo-kai Watch 3 was basically one of the last 3DS games to come out, and it fucking rules. There's an unbelievable amount of stuff to do in that game. I wish more people had given it a chance back when they were actually trying to promote the franchise over here.
I think the long pause at 26:20 made me laugh the most. Fill in the blank with the reaction.
I still unironically like the education connection song
It won a Grammy
It's pretty good honestly, catchy and not that annoying.
Also it won a grammy so you know it's good
i have it liked on spotify

2009 is now considered "classic" FML.
Happy’s Pizza is The Backbone of Metro Detroit. Thank you for giving our state mascot the attention he deserves 🙌
That jingle fuckin sent me right back a good decade hahaha
in regards to the "To Michael" ad....the Omaha beach part is rough. dont bring real world tragedy into your funny commercial. but the concept of video game characters honoring the player for helping fulfill their story/destiny is sweet. i kinda like that one.
Yesssss he knows how good of a segment this is
I really appreciate when the YTP generator defies Vinny and causes total mayhem
21:26 for Ouya and Vinny’s insane reaction
the irony..
The mobile game ads are always on a whole different level of cursed. Even the weird-ass Playstation commercials we've seen at least still feel like they were made by human beings
vinny getting blasted with old roblox meme ads makes this the top commercial stream of all time
1:06:00 Anyone ever watch SOG (Mutahar) back in the day make videos about creepy pastas? Brought me back…
The man has the option to enter video games, and he uses this incredible power to get some peanut butter.
His age isn’t outright mentioned, but from episode 1 he’s in high school.
Also the chat member who said the voice was fake is on my shit list.
5000 year old dragon loli
@@YourLovelyMajesty Yeah, leave it to twitch chat to confidently scream the wrong answer. If I recall correctly, the early manga explicitly states his age to be 16.
when vinny brought up jerma was also watching commercials i started to think about the idea of them both watching the same ones, like in a watch party, and did a duel commentary stream.
Here's the thing about that Mortal Kombat Gamestop Commercial... they actually got Scorpion's VA (Patrick Seitz) to do the commercial.
"He's possessed by an ancient pharaoh, which is why his voice is dudular" isn't a sentence I even knew was possible in the English language. I need more Yu-gi-oh lore dump in chat.
the sonic pinball song with the little chat dancing emotes gave my brain a good feeling. i cant stop thinking about it
50:00 Goddamn chat got ASSBLASTED over this one lmao

"Offroad" was such a great game in the arcade cabinets...
the free spinning steering wheels were amazing to spin hard to get around a tight corner.
Those random clips of segata sanshiro exploding were so fucking funny
vinny counting how many people get sucked into the tv is my favourite bit
Heads up to John Full Sauce job on changing some audios, wouldn't even notice most of them if not previously explained.
I remember the video game underground metal song they would play! It was gothy as hell during a time that was in. Brought back memories.
That Dodd's furniture guy is from my island, was really crazy to see. He's actually well liked in the community and was really big on charity fundraisers / giving back to the community and supporting local arts
Same. I'm from Victoria and it was super surreal when that commercial showed up.
I really enjoyed this segment, I don't mind branching out just watching non-game advertisements. I could watch vinny do anything tbh.
I absolutely love how Vinny sees a mere second of the baby commercial and just says "nope." and ends it
13:34 Probably the greatest one. 😂
As someone who plays SMITE, seeing Vinny react to Such Cold Skadi was like a fever dream.
since we saw the gamestop poster ads, i wanna remind everyone that Mafia III will only be remembered as the game that one kid played and his mom came in and yelled at him to go to the bathroom because he was shitting himself in front of her.

How has there not been a TV show like this?
A knock off office type show. But it takes place in a dying sketchass stripmall that has charm.
