Hey, for the Fire emblem commercial it’s for the original NES game.
Hi Vinny, it’s British Vinny. I can actually answer your question “Who is this actor?” In the BBC Micro ad. It’s Stanley Baxter, who was crazily popular in the 70s. I met him when I was a kid. Whenever I visit my elderly mother in Scotland, we watch DVDs of his specials. The subtext of him playing multiple parts is that he typically played every role in his sketches.
He reminds of the guy on the video for Thomas Dolby's She Blinded Me With Science

Also, when I was a primary-school child in Scotland in the early 90s aged about 6, my classroom had a BBC Micro. Nobody really knew what it was, including the teachers, but we were aware that it had to be treated with extreme reverence and caution, as if it had been born to a virgin or something.

If Vinny needs an explanation for why this series still exists, simply put it's just fun to pan for comedy gold sometimes.
Also because many people love watching old commercials - especially of the gaming segment for both entertainment and nostalgia and plus hearing Vinny react and discuss them. I know he hates them but it brings us a great joy. Also I have come across many of these commercials myself while archiving home recorded videotapes I buy.

But some of the inside jokes they threw in were great in that show! The Kenshiro-Toki-Raoh trio was hilarious.
From Ranma 1/2, just realized Hyoga/Ryoga is basically reverse Kenshiro, he has an utterly devastating technique that can level mountains in seconds with finger pokes but is utterly harmless against living beings.
I also like how that technique is taught inverting the trope of the old master who can only pass their technique to a worthy successor; Bakusai Tenketsu is taught by a humble engineer who learned from miners who developed this technique in a desperate attempt do dig themselves out of a cave in.

Growing up during this era, one of the most frustrating things was the fact that there was absolutely zero correlation between the quality of the commercial and the quality of the actual game.

There's some really great stuff related to that (fantastic) Dig Dug theater spot on TH-cam and elsewhere, including a vintage Entertainment Tonight behind-the-scenes featurette (the practical effects were done by the same team responsible for Poltergeist and Gremlins!) and the original unused version of the "Dig Dug Dance" song (since it was a parody of '60s doo-wop Chubby Checker had initially been hired but his version went unused and forgotten until the son of one of Atari's ad execs managed to find the original cassette a few years ago).
Did not expect another Commercial stream so soon again and definitely did not expect Can Shitting to be our introduction

A jukebox, like most mechanical devices, does components that require constant lubrication, depending on the make and model of the jukebox and the time period many different lubricants may have been used, including mineral oils used for mechanical devices.

I saw that Hitman 2 commercial out of context when I was in high school. It was titled something like "Woman in Russia Gets Shot for Cutting in Line" with a LiveLeak watermark in the corner and everything, minus the actual Hitman 2 logo at the end. So for the longest time, I thought it was real. That's crazy that that was an actual commercial that aired on television!
This is ridiculously early but hey one of my favorite segments. I only just recently saw a wwf/e commercial that was for a Super Smash Bros Melee sweepstakes. Pretty cool obscure stuff.

I love Vinny explaining what a Tamagotchi is to younger viewers. It's weird to me, a 19 year old, since I never knew what they were, but somehow I found out about it at some point in my life, and now they're a thing I just think everyone remembers. Hell, I even wrote an anime inspired web novel (for a contest) with a Tamagotchi at the core of it called "Timeagotchi," and I wondered if people would get the reference or not.
