Fun fact: Last Battle was a Fist of the North Star game. The name changed because of copyright.
I was actually aware of that too.
So did all the people names. Kenshiro became Aarzak, Falco became Duke, and so on.
The first game was also changed to Black Belt for Western release.
Blood was seemingly removed too. The version I saw had enemies explore into huge blood splats when hit, just like in the anime.

+Ultima Sort of. The SNES version of the game got completed and released(although it's music wasn't made by Tim Follin), but the Genesis version, on the other hand, wasn't neither(although it was pretty much complete). And yeah, it's a cool game overall, but it's best thing is surely the music by Tim Follin. I definetly recommend you checking it out, both in 60hz and 50hz!
Yeah the game is fully playable, it's essentially the same game as the Super Nintendo version, just with different (imo far better) music.
That Call of Duty Ghosts game is actually an unreleased game called "Time Trax" and the music was composed by legendary composer Tim Follin. He's the guy that did the Silver Surfer soundtrack for the NES.

I had a lot of these games, it reminds me of a time before we knew what was good and the only critera for a game purchase was "does the cover look cool?" and "Can I afford it?"

I'd say Phil Collins just by himself is worth a point, so Genesis 2, Nintendo 0.
Sega shuts down fangames as well (remember the Streets of Rage 3 remake?), they're just more cooperative in regards to the _Sonic_ series because A: it's their one and only cash cow nowadays, and B: since they don't make consoles anymore they don't have to worry as much compared to Nintendo. Plus, unlike Nintendo, Sega never released an add-on whose piracy problems were so bad that it scarred the company for years to come.
+game4brains 123 Weren't they asking for donations for that SORR remake? And they're not relying on Sonic anymore. Their Persona games are being uber succesful. And now Sega even purchased Atlus, so they're doing more than fine. Also, Sonic fangaming was around 1996, when they were still developing consoles.
And even if your first point is true, it's still one fangame compared with all the fangames Nintendo shut down. They even hired fans to develop their new classic Sonic game.

That legend of final hero game is actually a localized version of a Fist of the North Star game that had to remove the license when brought over iirc

Oh holy crap. I remember that Barney game, my parents rented it when I was a bab.
So, a fun fact about that Barney game: The game literally can play itself. If you don't touch the controller at all, Barney will just head towards the end of the level all by himself. No controller meme speedruns exist of that game and wr literally depends on rng if he interacts with this one guitar character or not.
I played the hell out of Awesome Possum when I was a kid. The intro is still stuck in my head to this day

In Slaughter Sport if you play as Mondu I think you can instantly kill your opponents with his Butt Smash attack. I remember cheesing my brother with it a long time ago.

I played Legend of the final hero as a baby. All this time I used to think it was Fist Of The North Star since flashbacks of that man reminded me of Kenshiro. The shirt ripping etc.

Last Battle was my gateway into Fist of the North Star. I played it a lot when I was a kid. Thanks to some of Jeff Lindblom's FotNS TH-cam poops almost 10 years ago, I saw the similarities between the two and discovered and watched the anime shortly after.
