You can fix the Brightness in Nvidia control panel, done. Amazing monitor the most fluid experience I have played on. Hes right if you care about performance 10/10 zero lag input delay feels. Quality is phenomenal but hes right out of the box it did feel a bit dim 8.5/10. Some pc adjustments can fix that issue though.
When you raise the brightness in the nvidia control panel is also degrades the image quality by a huge margin. It's not the same picture you get as if you were just raising the brightness on the monitor settings itself. I have this monitor and have decided to return it due to no work around with the display being so dim.
I agree. Im really baffled. Who is this for? 200hz gamers want to see EVERYTHING in their FPS games, so the OLED and HDR are both actually contrary to what they want. For regular gamers, this probaby just looks stupid next to the alienware QD-Oled
I returned mine; be careful, the Automatic Brightness Level (ABL) makes it really bad. Everything exceeding more than 30% white coverage automatically becomes a shade of grey. Simply put, whites are washed out greys & brightness is significantly reduced.
Considering it will be close to €1400 where I live I think I'll pass. I was so looking forward to this but honestly this doesn't feel like a real OLED. Apparently the Asus variant has the same problem.
This monitor being so dim really exacerbates the black crushes of OLED. Poor shadow details make everything harder to see, which is horrible for competitive gaming. But tweaking black levels as you said kind of defeats the purpose of OLED.
Does anyone feel like the response time is higher then .09ms at 60hrz . My c1 as far as response time and input lag , blow this out of the water . Feel like I’m stuck in glue, switch back to my c1 and my movement and response time was out the roof compare to this monitor .. returning it & buying the c2 .
The matte finish was way way more aggressive than I thought, it’s actually worse than my cheap budget monitor like why did they use such a low quality coating on oled, it’s disgusting. The text fringing is noticeable too, this monitor is good only for purely gaming.

I was kind of disapointed to see your review... i was expect "more". I have a 27GP850, worth change for AW2723DF? Like a lot your review about it. In my country cost 630€
When I switch my monitor to HDR, I also have to turn up the brightness because SDR in HDR have their own brightness settings on the monitor itself.
Have you done a best brightness monitors review
Anyone know who makes the desk seen in the video?
360p only??
Is there a VA or IPS version? Not a fan of oled for gaming monitors.
27gp850
It is not 4k
@@ceuser3555 you didnt ask for 4K your looking at 1440p monitors, anyways, look at 27GP950 if you want 4K.
@@kevmarkwell5713 the video uploaded says oled is better than 4K, I think that would be the case for very dynamic settings or a constantly changing background but not when static for some time and when reading texts. Anyway, nice recommendation, but is there one at a higher refresh rate? I heard the samsung g8 or g9 but there are some issues.
Two friends of mine called me showing me they got theirs both immediately said same thing ( it being dark ) I in fact will not be buying this monitor but indeed getting 360hz 1440p monitor
I know most haven't tested OLEDs on PC before, but trust me dont buy into the WOLED hype because its in suitable sizes.
I tried the LG C2 42, woled, and the AW3423DW qdoled, immediately got my money back from the C2 because of the brightness.
The QDOLEDS will come rolling in, be patient, the difference will be worth it. WOLED brightness is disgusting at around 150-180 nits full screen.
Also I have the same monitor but it doesn't allow 240 hz in Fullscreen mode seems like a bug does your display do the same thing.
Nice i pre order the lg 27gr95qe and it looks great but it wasn't enough brightness for my taste at 200 nits. I end up buying the lg 32gq850-b and I love it. I guess I'll wait when realese a 32" oled 240hz .
Honestly might order the GQ850, It's a good value right now, Plus it can do 4k 120hz which is nice.
I am thinking the lg 48GQ900-B 4K 138hz or this I dont know.
god i love reviewers that arent afraid to speak their mind, looking forward to the full review
Why did he disable Nvidia fps counter? I wanna see how much fps hes getting.
@@fynkozari9271 Apparently 240 since he reffered to the smoothness being due to it being 240 hz lol
At this price point It sucks that it doesn't include USB C. I have both a gaming PC and a MacBook Air that I connect to a Dell USB-C 4k monitor.
For pc gaming what would be the better port display port or hdmi 2.1
OLED isn't as bright as LED. Doesn't matter, it's Not too dark.
Simply put, whites are washed out greys & brightness is significantly reduced.
return to lg did you get a full refund ? or did they charge restocking fee
@ployth9000 they did charged $80 restocking fee...but considering the inferior quality of this monitor, I am willing to pay it.
is there a hdr 1000 mode?
Considering it will be close to €1400 where I live I think I'll pass. I was so looking forward to this but honestly this doesn't feel like a real OLED. Apparently the Asus variant has the same problem.
The ASUS one is going to be using the same panel so brightness should be the same?
@@iKayorei Matte finish, too.
This monitor being so dim really exacerbates the black crushes of OLED. Poor shadow details make everything harder to see, which is horrible for competitive gaming. But tweaking black levels as you said kind of defeats the purpose of OLED.
That’s what I’ve been noticing. Dark areas are pitch black.
Which is your favorite monitor at the moment ?
Does anyone feel like the response time is higher then .09ms at 60hrz . My c1 as far as response time and input lag , blow this out of the water . Feel like I’m stuck in glue, switch back to my c1 and my movement and response time was out the roof compare to this monitor .. returning it & buying the c2 .
The matte finish was way way more aggressive than I thought, it’s actually worse than my cheap budget monitor like why did they use such a low quality coating on oled, it’s disgusting. The text fringing is noticeable too, this monitor is good only for purely gaming.
Is anyone having trouble with the sound on this? If i plis in my headphones I Can hear, but I can’t hear sound externally on the monitor. Help
Does anyone else have a problem with grey colors having really bad stripes showing and also bad uniformity?
the remote though....like its $1300 and they omitted the joy stick this time. like its less features..... smh LG
