6 years of impeccable maintenance and attention to detail. Great driving too, I love that you aren't afraid to push it around. Wide open!
For the price at the time, these were one of the best $40k sports sedans. Too bad they're charging STi prices for (current) WRXs and the Impreza is going up a tier to last gen WRX prices. Hope you never sell this car.
Welp lol
@@MiLLz830 worth all the money 💰
You’re the man Chris. Stay humble buddy. My Series Gray STI turned 4 last month.
Ive own my wrx as long as you have. Bought it brand new from the lot. It's also my first manual car. It's a fun car. I don't think I can let it go.
It still looks like a brand new STI! You’ve maintained it exceptionally well.
I hope to get the same enjoyment from my 2023 wrx . Thank you for the videos , inspiration of what is truly obtainable from a well rounded build and love of a car .
As a new Dad myself I found a new even greater passion for cars with my son!
He is actually the reason the 2021 STI was bought new off the lot with 7 transport miles on the clock! so glad we did as it was MINE from the start no worries here!
In-fact since then we have started building more and more with the goals of video and posting our journey building cars and doing things together!
one of my favorite things is morning/daily car photos with the kiddo! "same place same time and really see them grow!" this has also rolled into V-logs as he has gotten a larger more independent vocabulary!
Since then we bought his mom her first "project" car and it is a 2 door subie and he wants his own! ( *a challenger body in white actually because he wants new but to build it! pretty damn smart for 4 years old!* ) soooo now it is getting 8-9k nowish for his "dream car @ 16" meanwhile my project car still lurks under the knife! (LS-powered Porsche I build in high-school now being redone with adult money that video series launches soon with my channel!)
That is so awesome , I’m gonna start a project car with my pops soon too hopefully lol
Could listen to you drive this car all day 😮💨
I can watch this all day every day!! That’s just awesome!!
Great video my man! Just bought my own
Under 9k 2021 STI and couldn’t be more exited. Your content helped me made my decision. Great vids
Your STI is a gorgeous example.
March/9/19 will be 4 years with my sti. Love yours btw.
Good video as always working on getting my sti on that power level slowly but worth it, thanks for all the content 👍
Awesome job keep up the good work 👍 stay with it don't sell it
You are the reason I wanna buy an STI
sound great
Hi Chris,
Car looks and sounds great!
Have you tried different ceramic coating products?
Which particular one do you highly recommend?
Your brother from PA!
I’ve tried a few in the past but my favorite is the gtechniq csl and exo v4. The ease of application, the look, and durability is hard to beat.
@@Scoobyfreak86
Thanks brother, God bless!
Did you take off the side skirts, lip and such? Also, did you put the original front grille and took out the brace bar? I noticed the tail lights are back to stock too. Love your car and the info
Yes, all that was removed and sold.
You might have said in the video but are you still on the original EJ?
Original motor. Never opened. New owner has put over 15k miles on the car since it was purchased and still running strong.
that's one good looking sti! i just found an 2015 sti launch edition, with 81+k miles on it, do you think it would be a great decision for my 1st car?
An STI as a first car is pretty awesome haha. However, I would recommend looking at something a bit lower cost to maintain as a higher mileage STI could be quite the money pit. Especially buying second hand and multiple owners.
@@Scoobyfreak86 appreciate that quick response, even though its from the dealership?i noticed you have a nj license plate, so i dont know if your familiar with paul miller subaru dealership?
i want to get a 2021 wrx sti whats the most common issues i always hear that they blow up or is that just a meme thing
th-cam.com/video/Lr-ll9DZ1rE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QHixtcisB71P5Ki3
Does upgrading the turbo make the car louder? i see that you have an external gate also but when it’s not dumping is it louder or nearly the same sound
Depends on what size turbo but yes it can increase the overall sound
you haven't done anything internally in the engine right? you get on it pretty good and still haven't blown the motor? makes me wonder what people do to get rod knock!!
Stock block. Stock internals. All original. It’s about maintenance and how it was modified. I always preach about maintenance, doing all the supporting mods, and using top tier parts. It makes a big difference and my car is proof that it can be done right.
@@Scoobyfreak86 i completely agree. cheers buddy!
what exhaust are you running in this?? i feel like there’s a different one every video haha
This is the ets setup which is the last one I ran.
th-cam.com/video/Bdn_99vHfVg/w-d-xo.html
Never had a battery drain problem? I hate it 😢
Never. Car is still on original battery from 2017.
What's the mileage on it now
No longer have the car as it has been sold.
What’s the gas mileage like both city/hwy?
th-cam.com/video/gzL4F7vhEuM/w-d-xo.html
What tint do you have on the taillights!?
No tint is on the tails th-cam.com/video/XxyZxjB53kY/w-d-xo.html
@@Scoobyfreak86 Buying a set to modify as we speak!!
What kind of shift knob is that ?
th-cam.com/video/qK1mLyiAw0k/w-d-xo.html
The coolant temp only got up to 187??
Yes sir. Koyo rad does a great job keeping the temps low.
@@Scoobyfreak86 I think a koyo rad is going to be my next upgrade. Seems like a good reliability mod.
Definitely worth it and it’s reasonably priced. Recommend it to any STI owner.
@@Scoobyfreak86 I have one too but 187 is like a crushing temp. Anytime I get on it I’m over 200 real quick
My car hardly ever got to 200 after I did the radiator and everything else.
Never sell ✊
Love your STI man! Your how to videos have helped me a lot with the maintenance of my own STI! Thanks for the content!
Glad to have helped!
So bad they stopped making stis and the current WRX is just not the same with the ugliest rear end possibly ever put on a sports car
This is a sad day...
I saw the title, & knew from the prior vids this day was coming.
I took a few days to leave a comment... 😭
Thanks for all the wonderful Subaru content.
Your content was always consistent, & on par with what I was looking for.
Good luck with what you have planned.
Looking forward to what you have in the works.👊🏽
Great video bro! I've had my GV STi for 12 years still running strong the usual maintenance wear and tear parts
Very clean and tasteful STI! It's only been 5 months since I got my '21 WRX, but I'm already a little worried about engine issues. That being said, you are living proof that with love and care, WRX's and STI's can actually be very reliable even with mods!
Anyone who says Subaru aren't reliable, 9 times out of 10 it's people who thrash their cars around and don't keep up with maintenance. This applies to any car, not just Subaru
Get a tune on it so your not running that shitty oem tune from factory
FA no need worry about engine issue, either ej257, bunch of TH-camr has 100k miles on sti without issues. If you tune get pro tune and quality parts. If can’t afford just keep stock and on time maintenance
I drove trucks, suvs, jeeps, my whole life, trying to get stuck in backroads snow on the appalacian mountains of PA. Then I got the 22 wrx, and put winter tires on, kelly winter access, and I was blown away above and beyond, the car is ridiculously out of this world in the snow. Its like a snow mobile. Nothing comes close.
Great video! I have a 2016STI and garaged.. rarely drive it but when I do … love it! Funny this is the longest car I ve ever owned too. 😬
I have a 2018 STI I traded a 2000 C5 Corvette for it, some might agree others might disagree, but it was the best decision I ever made
Can someone tell me why Subaru is so hated on ?? I always thought Subaru was extremely reliable n let's be real , they have some gorgeous models ( such as yours ) so I never could understand the hate they get . I would love to own one such as this , jus like u said it's checks all the boxes for me as well . Stunning ride
Well because it’s expensive to actually build a Subaru. That holds down power along with being reliable On top of that. People just
Complain and it’s honestly gotten super dragged out.
Beautiful car man! Next owner is so lucky! I’m also going from Stage 1+ to 3 on mine this week and watched your vid earlier on that. So pumped!
Let me know when the part out is
Big love from Québec !
What’s the mileage on a full tank of gas on subaru sti 2015 intelligent mode
I get 320 to tank
Just got a 2017 STI with 32,000 miles on it: I’ll be watching more of your video! Hopefully I can come to you for advice! Thanks for the videos!!!
So cool seeing this car done right. Nice to have a local STI on the streets. Maybe I’ll hear it riding my MTB on the trails haha. Please don’t get rid of it because they probably won’t make it like this ever again
Great job/videos man, hopefully one day I'll run in to you since I'm also from NJ. 21 STI owner here!!
Just curious about how much you were able to get for it? Was it private sale or trade-in?
Ahhh man I dont want u to sell it sooo baddd haha. Such a wicked build.
Love your videos and STi man! You’ve inspired me to buy one!
Why does the 2017 sound different from the 18 and up
I’m confused
They sound the same. My setup was different as I ran EL headers on this car.
@@Scoobyfreak86 oh I just bought a 2017 wrx sti limited and it doesn’t sound anything like the other stis to me
Just keep this beauty, your kids will thank you for it 😊
Love my jerz ppl we know how to drive subigang
Pop the hood. Do you even have a air oil separator?!
hi, what exhaust system on your ets exhaust?
That thing sounds rowdy as hell damn
Love that sounds🌊🌊🌊💯🏆✨️🧪💚
Looked like u were gona have problems with that white pathfinder😂. Great content tho. Keep up the good work
Lol he was driving like a manic. You can see him fly by in the next clip.
my dream car
What's up Chris, do you do installs for subscribers on the side for cash? I have OEM front and sides and will be ordering the Verus Non-Aggressive diffuser soon and loved the details you took to install yours. Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, I don’t do installs on other vehicles. My videos are very detailed than you can following along step by step and accomplish the install on your own. I always encourage everyone to try as it is way more rewarding doing it yourself.
@@Scoobyfreak86 Thanks for the reply! Honestly, I don't have the patience. Thanks anyway though. Keep the good great content coming. Hope you end up keeping the STi.
How much drone would you say an Invidia N1 on a stock sti would have?
Never driven in a car with that exhaust, but I would imagine pretty decent given the design.
Did I miss the part where you decided to continue to sell or keep it Chris?!?!
It’s for sale
miss my 04.. NO tune everymod you could do even VTA BOV for years ran perfect
Wrx owner here. Any tips on how to get vendors to work with you. Aftermarket parts are so expensive 🫰
Buy a lot of stuff from them. Show them your value.
Be popular on social media and have alot of followers, make videos, go to events and shows regularly with proof
Lmao any tips? Jk honestly though there is no quick and easy way to get there buddy. He is 100k+ into his Sti build. Including the cost of my car I’m 80k into my 21 sti build. Your best bet is catching sales, coupons codes, and using sites like rallysport direct that let you rack up points to use on discounts.
