    I ordered a 2024 Limited for 1k under MSRP...seems like the time to get a semi-nice fun car and hold onto it is NOW, before further laws/regulations/inflation destroys this price segment. When I found out how much replacement pads/rotors cost for those TR brembos I decided adding my own 4 pot front set will cost about the same as the price difference between the Limited and TR but will save me money down the line. I am also a moonroof and lumbar support enjoyer so the choice was clear. Someone on the wrx_vb subreddit said the turn signal stalk is changing back to a "normal" style for 2024 as well, at least in Canada.

      ​@@Itsdjsigi I'm sure it is easier to get a bigger discount on something on the lot, but I ordered for several reasons:
      1. I for sure want a 2024
      2. I've been watching my local dealers (of which there are many) for a long while and they hardly ever stock Limiteds, let alone in the color I want. When they do, they are often CVTs. Not guaranteed to keep happening, sure, but I'd rather not wait forever.
      3. All these local dealers can't resist putting at least $1k of accessories on Limiteds, particularly accessories I don't want. Even if I did get more than $1k off one on the lot I would just be lowering a raised price.
      4. Apparently one can get a Subaru loyalty coupon by contacting SOA, and with my long history of ownership of other Subarus I can likely get an additional $500 to $1k off. Not confirmed in my situation yet, but I will add a comment here if it turns out well.

      ​@@subterraneanguitartechThe whole thing with dealers adding a bunch of accessories to the limited trims is part of the reason I didn't go for that trim. I got lucky when I found my premium with HK and sunroof that the only accessories added were the floor mats and the vortex generator.

    Dont hate me but i think with the proce increase the Elantra N is the best bang for your buck. Thats just my .02 but i may be biased.

      Thanks so much! I've been trying to spread myself on all the WRX stuff going on. There's always something to talk about. This coming year I'm redoing my car until a rally car so more racing to come ..but on the dirt!
      Also no hate at all! It all comes down to what you want to do with your car. Some people like having AWD and so the WRX is still the only real option. I have been wanting to do a video on the Elantra N as a comparison so thanks to you I will do just that!

    Great video thanks for the insight on the new 2024 Wrx. Was wondering if the brembos from the 2024 Wrx tr, would they fit the 22 and 23 models ?

      There's a very good chance these will be plug and play. Of course we'll only know truly when they release. I will make sure to find out.

    Personally picked up a 23 Limited w/ SPT and I can say its incredibly comfortable with the Ultrasuede seats and lumbar support. Although coming from a 2005 Nissan Altima with a god awful CVT anything would be an upgrade.

    Only good thing about the TR is that you will be able to pull the brake parts off the shelf from Subaru and bolt them on. Or going back in time before my purchase of my VB. I should have just bought a GD STI. Besides, the chassis it's still a better platform. 😢

      @@HeavyMetalWRX I lost a bolt swapping my pitch stop, and was amazed that on all the Subaru OEM sites, there are NO exploded diagrams of VBs at all! Have you seen this? May be hard to find what the TR brakes cost w/o a parts counter (kind of retro, but annoying).

    Just got a 24 premium a couple weeks ago and absolutely love this car. The black fenders have grown on me and I'll probably just lower the car and get new wheels, but I hope something aftermarket comes out for the back soon...if Subaru could make a new OEM rear that replaces what is currently on it, this will be my favorite WRX

      A lot of companies make after akrer color matched fender replacements. Check out Aeroflow Dynamics, import image racing, JD muscle. They all have them

      @@esjay808 bruh WHAAAAAAT . I know the 3 second delay is a toggle but we still have a one touch stalk. We can't change that.

    Just got a new 2023 Premium manual. Got $4000 off MSRP (and $3500 off at competitive dealer). There’s still about 3 dozen new 2023 VBs to be had in my area.

    Is the comfort level of limited trim that vast of a difference of the premium?
    I figured you can always purchase lumbar postural items to include in the premium version…

      Actually test drove a premium today and it was extremely comfortable. As comfortable as a limited.

    Hope to see Insurance rates drop now that you get to say "yea, i have auto braking, and lane keep assist, and stuff"... hopefully drops the premiums quite a bit

    Canadas 2024 WRX trims are so different. WRX - Sport - Sport (SPT) - RS - Sport-tech - GT (SPT)

    I want to get a new 2024 limited wrx but I have no credit history and a 640 score 🤣 , what’s my chances and how much yall think ima have to put down / monthly ☠️

      Oh man you might get away with zero down but it's probably going to be 11-13%> however interest rates are still high in general (7-8% is what I've been seeing lately). That's definitely going to be like $700+ a month.

    Is this Subrau's last year for the WRX? If so could you reply, because a lot of companies are focusing on hybrids, and I am worried that Subrau might stop making the WRX.

      At this time there is no way to know. We have at least the 2024 model and going by history they usually make about a 7 year run. So we could see this model go till 2028 maybe? It's just my best guess.

    In the realm of awd, manual, and fun/semi practical cars, the WRX really stands alone. I love my '22 more now than when I purchased it 2 years ago.

    My newest motorcycle has electronic suspension and it’s a game changer. Adaptive suspension gives you two or three cars in one. Strongly looking at GT

    Considering a Civic Si starts at $31k and the GTI starts at $32k, while both being FWD, the WRX is still a great deal. The only trims I feel like aren't worth it after the limited and GT.

    Trading in my 22 wrx premium for the 24 TR comes in 2 months. I have decided to add the fun features led lights in the sill and front badge. The grill is changed. Also the same day I am dropping it off at my turner and add stage 1 and 2 it. I had a sti 2019 they blew the rod bearing at 33k. So basically this is my keeping this till the end car. See how it all goes.

      The part numbers are starting to show up on Reddit and other places just save up and get the OEM pieces imo.

    The only upgrade to me that’s valuable is the adaptive cruise on the manuals. I loved it on my buddies 22 si (different company), and I love it on my 22 Outback. I don’t see myself moving on from my 23 wrx premium unless it’s to a Supra or they bring back the sti.

      Yea this is more for people who havent made the juno to the VB WRX. They will have a lot of options in the used market too. Tha nfully these VB engines seem to be far more resilient than previous gen so even a used VB might be ok.

    Still a great value all considered. You will see others in the online car community compare their cars to the VB all the time. The thing is the cars they are claiming that are "better" than the new WRX are $15K more.

      Exactly! I can't tell you how many times someone has said BMW or Supra (joke within a joke 😂) and it's like ok 32k vs 58-65k. For that price it BETTER be good.

      For 2024 the BRZ starts at 30k and the WRX starts at 32k.

    i got a 23 premium for 32k flat and the dealership experience was so great, it's the only reason that I didn't get a golf gti. Well, that and for whatever reason they wouldn't give me the gti at MSRP. And they were pushy dickheads.EDIT: also, it was alot more cramped in the gti.

      I haven't been inaide a new gti but compared to my 2012 GTI the WRX is huge. I got my premium for 32 as well!

    Not much difference from the VB really. Now l seen information on the 2025 WRX STI, 320 HP with 310 torque and looks mean, over 40.000 starting

      This definitely won't happen. In the current climate and pricing a new STI will be , at minimum, 60k. This is the unofficial word I got from Subaru during subiefest. They are already charging 42k for a TR. Adding more power and the transmission you know they are gonna tack on the $$.

    These cars don't seem to be selling in NY. I've been monitoring dealers' inventories. I guess people don't want to pay $4+ per gallon only to get 19 mpg. If we had a president who wants the US to succeed and be energy independent, gas would be $2 per gallon and these cars would be selling like hot cakes. The "smiles per gallon" novelty wears off after a while as you keep digging into your pocket to pay for premium gas.

    WRX>>>>>>>>>GTi or Golf R. The TR pricing is still below Civic Type-R, GR Corolla, & Integra Type-S so the WRX pricing is competitive. Everything is expensive these days.

      People only look at power numbers when comparing cars. I think the TR is competitively priced when it comes to the Type R and GRC. The only car that is comparable apples to apples is the Golf R and that's more expensive.

    Never ever get a used WRX! Unless you trust the person selling it 100%.
    The dealer I traded my old VB lied saying it was never modified when reselling it, they even certified the car lol! It was tuned for burbles and power and trust me, I pushed the limits on that car before I got the new one!

      100% this! I just traded my VB in on a GR Corolla Circuit Edition and told them it was totally stock. Technically that was the truth because I returned the tune back to stock and removed all of the aftermarket parts before trading it in. 😁 I've had a few friends get burned buying used WRXs.

      It's a lot less clear. If you already one a WRX maybe it's not worth it. If you are looking for a new WRX and you want to mod it, this would be a great place to start, minus the wheels. However if you are planning on doing autocross or track days this is a great car out of the box and you wouldn't have to compete with turbo modified class. A lot of factors to look into.

      @@HeavyMetalWRX is a not that complicated really... Take a $45k budget and find the BEST performance per dollar car and see what you get..?
      I get a 2023 Genesis 3.3T AWD Sport Prestige.

      @@neuspeed79 that doesn't make any sense. Unless I'm looking at the wrong car that is a luxury sedan weighing 4900lb making 365hp to the crank. It also starts at $62k? These aren't comparable even if the price was similar.

      @@HeavyMetalWRX You're looking at 2024 models. I'm looking at the 2023 CPO models. These models all have under 5k miles on them, which is practically a new car still. Last, as I stated before, if you look at performance per dollar.. Ignore the body type / brand.

      @@neuspeed79 but that's not even performance. It's still heavier, less HP to the wheel, , and now you're looking at used. It still isn't comparable. I'm not saying you shouldn't I'm just saying trying to compare a new car with a used car isn't really the same value. Plus this cars market is different than the genesis. People who buy WRX will go off-road, will go to autocross maybe track days, windy road cruising. If you're looking to only drag race on the street maybe the Genesis is an option but that's the only thing it'll excel at. So like I originally said, it's not a clear yes or no. There are many factors that og I to the decision of buying this car. Maybe it doesn't factor in for you but it will for the general WRX cross shopper. Oh also people like manuals and a lot of them are going away. That'd a another W for the WRX. 🤷‍♂️

    Do people actually want that crappy eyesight in there cars? Driver assistance was the worst part of my golf R and was the main reason I sold it.

      Many people do. Realistically not every person is capable of seeing 360 around them and I know that sometimes these featurescan be a little annoying But in the long run it can and will save you from something you didn't see. I think it's more for the other people driving because you know as well as I do people don't pay attention while they're driving.

      EyeSight is fantastic. I had it on 2015 Impreza, and it was a life saver for my long trips. I couldn't stand the CVT, and since Subaru didn't have EyeSight+MT, I had to give it up.
      I now have 2019 Fit, and Honda-Sensing is far worse than EyeSight, even with 4 year advantage. I would've bought a Crosstrek or Forester if they had EyeSight+MT, but they only started supporting the combo this year, and I'm not really interested in WRX. Of course, Forester lost manual a few years ago, and Crosstrek lost manual last year. Go figure. Subaru just doesn't want my business, I guess.
