here's some explanation:
the doors explode because if they didn't, they game would softlock
different characters have different ground pound speed because of the enemy animation speeds.
I hope they tweak enemy controls in the future that would be so sick
Yes, there is a mario odyssey mod for 64 so i feel like that could be possible with more hacking, that would make it so much more entertaining

Ok so yes, I still really enjoyed 3D All Stars, it was so fun, but I think this is what Mario 64 COULD’VE looked like. Still keeps the nostalgia, but also makes it looks worlds better. Still love 3D all stars,and I especially love this video!

Mario's grabbed object entity doesn't stay with Mario for some reason, thus why King Bob-Omb gets yeeted-deleted and the fight is repeated. Because the object that determines what Mario is carrying can never update its position on the map.

You think you deleted King Bob-Omb, but the HOLP for some reason doesn't update when you are another character
Guys, this is the real Mario 64 without the glitch that made the graphics ugly, and the character doesn’t change.

I can already tell at the beginning, this will be an awesome video!!!
If you want to get in the cage without the owl, here are three things:
1. You get on a floating platform where red coin is, you triple jump towards the cage, you wall jump off of it, head towards the cage and you will clip inside the cage but that will take a lot of practice.
2. (You need king whomp for this) Lead King Whomp towards the cage, make sure he's close towards the cage, go into Mario Cam, triple jump off of him towards the cage and you will be in the cage. But don't take too long other wise king whomp will get up.
3. (This only works for the tower after you defeat king whomp) Get on top of the tower, make sure to face towards the cage, long jump towards the cage and If done correctly, you will be in the cage but don't miss the cage.
Those are three things to get in the cage without the owl, I hope this tip works. If number one doesn't work, make sure to use number two or three.
I really liked playing as different characters in Super Mario 64 when I was younger, but having a mod that assigns on its own a new character to each course is even cooler!
It would be good enough even if it was just more stable, but having custom moves for each character would be a dream come true.
Also, these HD character models and graphics are just beautiful!

I THINK it's because when the door exploded, you went just SLIGHTLY too far into the next room before the game could LOAD the next room, so Mario was technically out-of-bounds.
In Super Mario 64, whenever Mario goes out-of-bounds, he will instantly die (probably to keep the game from crashing) - hence why Rolling Rock-Mario died when going through that door. :)
I wonder if someone has done a mod that gives you the opportunity to play as the boss themselves.
Imagine if there's a Mario controlled by the CPU and you have to defeat him as King Womp, Bowser, Big Boo and other bosses as well.
and you use the abilities that the boss has rather than mario's abilities.

I love how the green stripe for his logo is affected by the green screen, so there's a slot where you can see through his head
Bruh, the moment Tetra did the first backup strat and tried to jump to the island, an ad popped up where the first graphic was space, and for some reason I thought Koopa jumped so high he flew to space.

What about SM64 but Button Actions changes constantly?
For Example that Jump is first on A but after some time it is B. And that for every single action

2:30 you actually sent king bob-omb to the Holp, but because I’m not sure you picked up anything, he was sent to the direct center of the level, which would happen if Mario has the cap in hand glitch
This is certainly a different style of video, but it's still great
If I were to guess, throwing is wack because it may be tied to animations, and koopas and penguins don't have throwing or carrying animations, so they might be dropped at a default point of sorts
Some fun choices here. The Spiny model makes me think of a Tactical Assault Shuckle.

The reason grabbing stuff is messed up is because of the holp
it can't update because you're not mario therefore you can't actually hold a thing like you should
at least that's what i gather from this
this is why when you threw king bobomb he appeared somewhere totally different, as the default spot for the holp is in the very center of the stage

They need to...
1: Make custom animations for every character.
2: Resize some of them, like the whomp.
3: Make two versions, one for Render96 and another for an unmodded version. (This is to give it more compatibility with the mod)
4: Better Power-Up Support.

- gets super surprised and confused about Mario being other characters... Reacts weirdly to it being harder to control like that's wasn't painfully obvious before even starting the game. Gives up again and again after 10 seconds of not being able to perfectly do stuff, like that also wasn't painfully obvious before even starting the game.
I really don't get the reactions, confusion and just uncontrolled "what's happening, I am unable to do this" that this whole video is. It's like making a pizza and just laying down on all the ingredients and screaming "what's happening!? How can I make pizza like this, what is pizza, why is this happening!?"
