    That's an interesting conundrum with Magnus. Unlike most anyone else, Magnus was created by the Emperor with a very specific purpose and very specific requirements (that being operating the golden throne), so just shoving a random warp god into that body would seem counterproductive. He was also the only primarch who was conscious from the very beginning of his inception and is implied to have communed with the emperor before being cast into the warp by Erda. He is also the only one who had his soul shattered which conversly also means that all of his original soul or at the very least parts of it are still around AND part of the Crimson King (which might also partly explain why he's so much less of a dick than the rest of the traitors). This is further backed up by "Wrath of Magnus", because from that book, it looks like only a very small part of his soul is actually Tzeentchian.
    Tl;dr: If this theory is true, Magnus has some very interesting shenanigans going on. I would even go as far as to suspect that Magnus might actually have a fragment of the Emperor's own soul instead of that of a warp god.

    • @TheLeftie600
      @TheLeftie600 2 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      It doesn’t imply a random warp god, it means the Big E identified a specific warp god to create (or for?) Magnus.

After all Corvus since he was a child he was merciless and brutal and Konrad was broken by his foresight and sense of justice due to being on hopeless planet like Nostramo. There is a theory that Corvus was meant to be the brutal executioner who would betray Big E (hinted by that Emperor seemed surprised that Corvus is loyal to him IIRC) all the while Konrad was meant to be a judge, bringer of justice who was meant to be loyal. But because they landed on their respective planets they were altered. And there is second thing, the fact that Khan and Fulgrim were switched by someone as well.

    Also makes sense why Perty is still relatively intact: we know that he is still much capable of doing what he was doing, meaning that he wasn't ascended to the deamonhood. Rather, as one theory goes, he could have been using some sort of a warp raactor or power source. Read about that theory yourself if you are curious as it is quite big, but it makes sense.
    Or Perty is perhaps one if not only "traitor" who still kept this thing in him, as I seriously doubt Perturabo is a DP, as it does not make sense with him. Either he somehow supresses warp influence, has shielding, or simply uses a reactor to compensate for his lifeforce drain.

    Also, all of the primarchs heavily relate to human gods from mythology. So it would make sense that the emperor would take gods from humanities history that exist as minor gods within the warp and it would explain why each of them felt a connection with humanity from the start. It also explains the immediate connections some of the primarchs felt to each other and also the immediate dislike others felt towards each other. If anything, I think that the chaos gods had eaten and absorbed all of the minor gods that the emperor could have used so the deal with the gods the emperor made could have been in exchange for the minor gods thar were swallowed to be released and given to the emperor to use for his primarch project.

So I think it makes complete sense that when the chaos god's ascended the primarchs to demonhood, they took out the very powerful warp god that was handpicked by the emperor, and replaced it with a lesser chaos god that just isn't as good. Hence why the demon primarchs keep getting their ass kicked

    I do like to believe that when the Big E first enter the Warp it is said he did a pack with the Ruinous Powers to create the Primarchs. What if the beings he made pack weren’t the Ruinous powers but actually Minor Gods or perhaps even some Surviving Old Ones (considering it said some survived the War in heaven). He promised them Mortal vessels for them to get stronger and when finally doing so they along with the Emperor could return to the warp via the Human Web Way the Emperor had in mind, subdue the Gods of Chaos and finally return the Warp back into the realm of Souks were this Minor Gods would rule and the Big would rid humanity off the influence of Chaos. However to ensure his plan work he also made a deal with the Chaos Gods, saying that he would join them as the Fifth Chaos Gods in exchanged he wanted a boost to his abilities so he could go on a conquest campaign to Spread his influence so he could ascend as the 5th God and create the eternal Chaos all 4 wanted (which considering the Big E is the only real threat they ever face and to be a worthy adversary, they couldn’t refuse. Is basically the equivalent of befriending the rich kid in school who could get you nice gifts and out of a lot of trouble)
    Or at least that is what the Big E told this minor Gods and the Chaos Gods, as his plan was to super charge this Gods using their Mortal Bodies and use them as suicide Bomvers so when he took the fight to the Chaos Gods the Big E would detonate the 10 Primarchs he chose as his sacrificial Lambs, thus separating the Chaos and the Minor Gods into such small pieces they would never be able to be made while again. However just to be certain he would created the Human Web Way to starve them of influence thus ensuring Humanity would never be influenced/manipulated by Gods again.
    When Erda found about this is why she sabotage the project, because she understood that if the Big E did this the Warp would get so unbalanced that would essentially destroy itself and the material world along with it. Since all the Gods represented aspects of the Material world and when destroyed it could create a second Big Bang that will eliminate everything.
    When Erda did this it essentially send a signal to the Chaos Hods of the Emperor’s true intention, which is why the Big E had to essentially rush the conquest of the Galaxy since now the Chaos Gods will try to stop him. Essentially Erda took away the Big E’s element of surprise because if it wasn’t by it he could have conquered the Galaxy in no time and continue with his plan.
    At least that is my theory, what do you think.
    As for the Minor Gods the Big E made a deal with I have an idea for 2, those Being Vulkan Corvus and CoraxLeman Russ.
    - Vulkan I believe has a shard of Isha, the Godess of rebirth, since even for a Perpetual Vulkan has a OP regeneration/rebirth abilities. To to mention his kindness with one could say is and aspect of the Emperor, but not even him is that kind. Not to mention his hatred for the Eldar could be the Isha shard punishing her subjects for the creation of Slanesh.
    - Leman Russ and Corvus Corax: I do believe their souls are of that of Primordial/Animalistic Gods that represent the untamed nature of all living beings. This explains why all Space Wolves can turn to literal Werewolves and why Corvus warp form is that of a Demonic Crow. I also believe them getting their eyes blank and going into the Warp, was the Warp entities finally maturing/growing powerful enough to return to the Warp and reclaim their respective realms.
    EDIT: I would also like to add that the “Watchers in Dark” are perhaps cultists or part of the same Warp Being which was used to create the Lion. Seeing how they stay besides the Dark Angels and guard the deepest part of the Rock. Perhaps the Watchers in the dark are an elder race that in similar fashion to the Emperor, achieve Perpetuity but one of their ranks was even capable of ascending to “Godhood” and inhabit the Warp until he joined the Emperor, and that is why she the Lion fell the Watchers took its body, heal it, and are waiting for the entity that inhabits the Lion to awaken.

  • @pabloarellano5485
    @pabloarellano5485 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Took me a while to come up with these but this theory would explain why every primarch has a theme, let me elaborate:
    Since the warp is a place where all thoughts, emotions and faiths are reflected, this would mean every religion that has existed had a warp reflection, for example, the idea of “Rome” was very popular even after the empire had fallen, is it possible that the idea of “Rome” manifested in the warp as a minor god, resulting in Gilliman and him “randomly” liking the Roman aesthetic, inheriting the administrative skills that kept the empire alive so many centuries, and if what Majorkill said about each godsoul “choosing” the planets they landed on is true, then of course he would la d on Macragge.
    This would give an explanation on why primarchs like the Lion landed on a world of techno “Knights” he is the warp embodiment of what ancient humans belived about medieval chivalry, thus further explaining his “asperg” personality.
    Same logic applies to Magnus (Egypt) Leman (Vikings) Sanguinius (Christianity) Jagathai (Mongols), Lorgar (every religion ever perhaps?) Perturabo (Industrial Revolution?)

    WARNING LONG READ AHEAD!
    Hey, I dont want to sound like one of those guys that "actually" everything, but there is something interesting about the Horus and Fulgrim clones. So basically the theory in the video states that the "God-Soul" of Fulgrim entered the clone body made by Fabius Bile and because of the fact that Fulgrim remembers his past, it must be the real Fulgrim. The thing is that Abaddon fights at one point a clone of Horus (also made by Fabius Bile) and the situation goes like this:
    (before you ask, yes this is literaly from the 40k wiki)
    Abaddon stood behind Horus, and with a single word he halted the Primarch's rampage. "Enough." He had barely even raised his voice, as the absolute authority in his tone was all that was required. Horus turned in a blur, swinging the massive war maul at this newest threat. Abaddon not only parried the mace, he caught it. He held it. He gripped it in the great Talon stained with the blood of a god and His angel. Father and son faced each other, breathing spite into each other's snarling features. For the first time the Primarch spoke, "That. Is. My. Talon." Abaddon closed the massive fist. Worldbreaker broke, shattering against a superior weapon. Scrap metal fell from Abaddon's finger. Despite the legends and stories told about this moment, there were no entreaties made to his gathered sons and nephews; no glorious speech about the possibilities of a new era, or how he begged for mercy when faced with Justaerin blades. There was no impassioned judgement delivered by Abaddon as destiny changed hands from one Warmaster to the next. There was only a cloned father and a prodigal son, surrounded by the dead and the wounded, so similar that only by their weapons and wounds could you tell them apart.
    Recognition finally flared in the revenant's remaining eye. "Ezekyle. My son. My son." All five of Abaddon's claws rammed so deeply into Horus's chest that they burst from his back. Dark redness spread across what was left of the white fur cloak draped in tatters across Horus's shoulders. A genetic god's blood rained down to the filthy laboratory floor. The Storm Bolter on the Talon's back kicked three times, burying six bolts inside Horus's exposed chest and neck. They blasted him apart from within, sending viscera and blood splattering upon those left prone, watching in mute witness. Horus' knees buckled but Abaddon would not let him fall. Horus's mouth worked but no sound came forth. If his last words found any voice, Abaddon was the only one to hear it. With a slow, smooth withdrawal, Abaddon pulled the Talon clear of his father's body, and the moment before Horus fell -- the moment before the light finally went out in the reborn Primarch's eyes -- Ezekyle Abaddon whispered five soft words. "I am not your son."
    As you can see there are quite a few hints that clone Horus remembers its past too, by saying things like "That. Is. My. Talon." and most importantly "Ezekyle. My son. My son." it just all seems to hint to the fact that Horus was somehow reborn. The only thing that actually shows that, this can not be the real Horus is the fact that Abaddon literaly one hits him, but still, the question remains why does clone Horus remember "his" past?
    Sorry for the bad grammar, english is not my first lanquage and keep in mind, i just wanted to give some thougts and observations to the theory and not critisize it.

      Its likely because the author read Dune and just plagiarized the concept of the ghola and cellular memory.

    How does this theory connect to that Proto-Primarch.
    I like to think that the Emperor took the essence of parts or all of major Chaos entities into himself "purified them" (as he thought) and shat them out into the Primarchs. That fits since part of the idea of Primarchs is they are aspects of the Emperor.

    I LOVE this theory! Pure conjecture here, but lets say the warp god in a body is canon. It could explain why the "lost" primarchs can't even be talked about. Lets say the two primarchs some how got more connected to their god souls to the point to the point they were growing in power the more people "believed" in them. IE take what we know about the warp, its the manifestation of warp imprints from various races thoughts and emotions. Now take the conjecture we know about the Rangdan, they can "control" people. If they were able to get the lost Primarchs on their side, and then use their powers to make all the slaves in the Rangdan empire worship them. Well you have a recipe of threat that could keep growing exponentially as they enslaved more warp sensitives. Throw on top Majorkill's thought that the god soul could keep bringing back the Primarch, the only way to actually stop them is to either, kill the warp god soul OR stop the warp imprint growth. Lets say the Emperor knew killing the god soul had risk or a great cost (ie uses too much power for him to do it twice, didn't exactly know how to it perfectly at that time etc. ) that meant that they had to totally eliminate any THOUGHT or emotion connected to the Lost to weaken the god soul to the point where it couldn't manifest. Would explain why every mention had to be eliminated and even talking about it was forbidden to the remaining primarchs.
    Hell the warp god soul even helps support why the Emperor had to use the Void Dragon during the xenocide, eg, need to cut/isolate the warp from "something". EG Void Dragon is known to have created the warp controlling pylons.

    This reminds me of the Theory of the emperor being a GAOT super human STC. There's alot of evidence that humans in the GAOT had the ability to manipulate raw warp energy and may have done so to engineer a sort of "last man" to skip to the end of evolution now that they had mastered technology. considering the other mentioned "Men Of Gold" it could be possible the EOM was made with a warp god's spirit as well and simply set about re-collecting the other now disembodied warp gods. Think about it, he used urta because she was strong, but not too strong. He could have very well been made by a hundred hundred shamans and reborn in anatolian but that doesn't mean he started off as a 10 foot tall golden badass.
