Alpharius detailed his view on each of the primarchs which is said
    1) Horus was the greatest of them though he knew it all too well.
    2) Lorgar he could never work out if the emperor's arrival actually helped him or not.
    3) he was present at a number of primarch first meetings but he was not present at Angron's, he does not regret that.
    3) "None of us like Curze, and I'm fairly certain he despises us all equally in turn"
    4) He did not respect Rogal dorn's view of war, where Dorn's methods would maximise chance of victory whatever the cost, Alpharius focussed on avoiding pyrrhic victories through more risk filled games. He also noted that he never trusts someone who doesn't lie"
    5) Magnus never seemed to want to be close with the other primarchs, though he stood besides him when it came to psychers because no tool is evil, it is just a tool and should be mastered.
    6) He disliked the lion, he eternally looked down upon all his brothers and never trusted anyone. He respected his presence though and tactical strategy.
    7) Corax's personality was as hard to see as the man himself
    8) He envied Sanguinious massively for his wings, not because of any tacticle reason but the sensation of flying must have been exhillerating.
    9) He made Leman Russ smile once. The only true smile he think he's ever caused in his brother. He did so when being asked what his role was meant to be in the emperor's galaxy, to which Alpharius replied "I'm the one who keeps secrets"
The Fenrisian, laughing, said in response "Then I'm surprised there aren't two of you"

@@michaelhowell2326 @michael howell Yeah, I actually read this recently. It's in "Angel Exterminatus".
It paints Perturabo in a pretty interesting light; he's actually an extremely passionate and brilliant man who wanted to be viewed as more than the "Lord of Iron" role that he was kind of forced into. Hell, there's even an off-handed mention of a gigantic golden clockwork lion that he intended to gift to "the primarch of the first" just to be a nice guy.
In any case, from my understanding, Perturabo was absolutely fascinated by DaVinci's work and constantly searched for his manuscripts and diagrams. Apparently, he wasn't able to decipher/translate some of them, and approached Magnus for help. Magnus was all too happy to help due to his love of ancient knowledge, and Perturabo found in the Crimson King perhaps the ONLY brother who ever bothered to humor his interests beyond just expecting him to "DIG TRENCH DO SIEGE"

Little bit of a bias here, but Magnus was probably the most well-liked among all the Primarchs. He was at least respected by everyone, except maybe Morty. While the majority of them actually showed him affection and camaraderie.
It could be said Russ didn't like him, but that's not true at all. In A Thousand Sons, Magnus and Russ make witty banter and even surprise Ahriman with how familial they are. A lot of people point to the burning of Prospero as the reason for the two hating one another. Upon reading the lore, though, we see Russ absolutely torn with having to attack his brother. And let's not forget Magnus was devastated to have put his sons and his brother at odds.

I think the Lion actually had a fairly decent relationship with a few Primarchs that just isnt explored in the actual Novels, I remember hearing something about Lion and Khan getting along quite well though I cant remember exactly where from.
I'm pretty sure Lion was one of only two Primarchs invited by Dorn onto the Phallanx, so that could suggest a good relationship between Lion and Dorn.
Kurze said he felt he had more in common with the Lion than any other Primarch and given the Lions nature, he might not have been very critical about Kurze's way of war as Lion was a hell of a pragmatist, so they could have got on fairly well.
Honestly I think it would be easy for the Lion to get along with most, if not all of his Brothers, he's comfortable exercising every form of warfare so there shouldnt be any clashes over methodology, and the Lion's pragmatism, sense of chivalry and honour, should really go a long way with a lot of his Brothers.
Unless some writer decides that the Lion's gene flaw is being socially awkward, I just chalk his interpretations of being distant and dickish as poor characterisation and writing and to be fair, most examples of such are in his older writing and short stories.
Also, one thing i find kind of annying about how the Lion is handled in the Heresy reguarding his relationship with his brothers (or lack there-of) is the fact that the very first Horus Heresy Novel to cover the Lion and the Dark Angels (Descent of Angels) lays down a decent framework for the Lions character and suggests that the Lion should be overjoyed at the existance of his Brothers and frankly has every reason to want to get to know them.
The Lion is a fairly distant character in that book because despite his attempts, its difficult for the Lion to relate to Mortal men, because he's so beyond them, as soon as Zahariel slays the 2nd Calibanite Lion, Literally the only person to achieve a feat equal to that of the Lion, the Lion goes out of his way to praise him and then has a one on one talk in which the Lion outlines all his hopes for the future of Caliban and the Order and Zahariel instantly becomes one of the Lions top boi's, the Lion also said he'd love to hear how Zahariel managed to kill the Calibanite Lion. The fact that it turned out Zahariel was a psyker the whole time might have been one of the reasons the Lion sent him with Luther back to Caliban, because the Lion realised that it wasnt because Zahariel had managed to match one of the Lions feats through skill or strength or intelect, but because he had magic on his side.
Luther Described him as the most gifted man in the world, a master at anything he set his mind on, Luther explains that while the Lion does certainly have a sense of humour, it's just that his intelect was so advanced that nobody actually got his jokes.

Other Primarchs got tied up in their humanity and their emotions, Lion knew he was a weapon, knew his role, and sought to master it.
"Horus is feted as a diplomat, and with good reason, for he can be charming and persuasive when he wants to be. However, never let it be said that the Lion is without subtlety in this regard, for he too can judge his interactions with finesse. The Lord of the First is simply rather less concerned about everyone loving him."
“He had overseen the extermination of countless billions. Such was his duty, his special place within the pantheon of warlike avatars who served their father’s ambitions, and though he took no joy from it, nor did he question its justice. His brothers thought him unquestioningly ruthless and they were right. They believed that he would expend any resource, even the lives of his own sons, to prosecute the imperium’s wars, and they were right. They said that he had not shed a single tear at such losses, not even after the annihilation of the Rangda has seen his legion’s strength struck in half, and again they were right.
They thought these things a criticism of him.”
When Duriel ordered the withdrawal, many of the Lion’s sons would die. This, he knew.

I'd add the Horus hated Papa Smurf Intensely as It envied his ability to perform while planning a battle, and Rogal despised the convoluted tactcs of Alpharius for being "inefficeint and self incensing" instead of going straight to the point.
Fulgrim did not liked the primarch of the ll Legion: in a brief discussion about how he flet about some of his brothers he states that the II primach was quite dull and didn't knew what punchline was.
Leman Russ had great respect for Sanguinius and Konrad as warriors, stating he probably couldn't beat them in a fight. He was the usual self inflated douschebag as he did not even consider Perturabo and Jagatai, the first badassly tanking and the proceding to mauling down into submissio a Demonic Angron alone, while mocking him for his weakness; the second murdering by himself a whole Ork Fortress his legion could not conquer and then proceding strangling a Greater demon of Slanesh, ripping out his hearth barehanded.
The less appreciated of the primarchs was The Kahn, never considered as a great warrior, a great strategist or a reliable ally. The Wolf didn't liked him after the accident where he refused to help him during the Horus Heresy, but the Kahn was very close to Magnus and Russ had just destroyed his legion. Curiously the Kahn was, relatively speaking, in good terms with Mortarion probably because he saw him as another outcast among brothers and because he could see behind the mask he put in front of himself. Makes sense then Horus sent Mortarion to try to sway him on Prospero, but it didn't end well.
Honestly, among all the Primarchs, I think Sanguinius and Jagatai had an instinctive bond between them, not because of a particular affinity in purpose or philosophy, but because, somehow, they both could "feel" the terrifying Monster lurking inside the other and because they knew, both, somehow, could be trusted to keep it in check.

Magnus and the Khan were actually really close friends. It's kinda cute.

I'm highkey disappointed we never got the Khan fully back in TTS, becuz I'd LOVE to see how he interacted with reformed Magnus, Dorn, and the Fabulous Custodes.

@@dac314 I always liked how Magnus thought the Khan was cool in TTS. It's very nice.

"Scars" and "The Path of Heaven" really made me love the Khan. He's got some really interesting personal philosophies and a surprising amount of depth that doesn't usually come across to people who haven't read his books.
Apparently he was also quite good friends with Magnus!

The space wolves might be my least favorite loyalist legion, but I'm pausing the video to say that Russ' helmet @05:32 is fucking sick looking.

I liked Alpharius, but I was always disappointed by how he constantly allowed himself to be overshadowed by alpharius.

I really like Lorgar and Angron being close. The two brothers no one else liked forming a bond, helping and supporting each other as best they can, and respecting each other even though they're very different people is weirdly wholesome.

I think most people saw the Khan as an outsider (rightly), but a few of his brothers respected his stoicism, his bravery, dedication and bluntness. Sanguinius in particular saw him as an odd bird, who'd rather fly off into the Void and never look back, but still was a loyal son despite the ideological differences.
