Hi mate, what's ur draft? Just curious, when uv got to go in close to the small boats aground, not to bad when it's a yacht. Good rescue, ur right he's had a few too many. U know there's a problem when the captain doesn't even know his motor trims up out of the water. It really worries me these people are out there on the water. 😲🤔🤣👍💪 I wonder what was the woman in the back trying to hide from the camera. Yes Sir!!!
Thanks Sea Wench! The draft was about 24in, but we could power through about 18in depending on the type of bottom we were in.
I'm guessing she was hiding empties...Not saying the captain was drinking before they broke down since it took me probably an hour and a half to get to them from when we first got notified, and who knows how long they had been there before we even got the call, but you never know...🤔

It turns out that the throttle linkage broke, so they only had idle speed...apparently not enough to control where they were going

Thanks Brian! If I remember correctly, the throttle linkage broke on the engine side of the throttle cable. On these Mercury 150s, it's made of plastic

It's not my place to make that call...but thankfully no. Knock on wood, I haven't ever had anyone that intoxicated

I don’t don think the problem was it being a Bayliner. The VR6 is a very good boat as are the newer Bayliner’s in general. Yes they are bare bones but also half the price of most other boats of equal size and power.
