This is inspiring. Can’t wait to get my boat and do the same thing. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for uploading this, I'm a Chicago Suburban native here looking at the VR4 next season and this was the video I was looking for!

Love your updates here in Chicago. I would love a recap of the process and costs of getting setup in a slip in Chicago and getting your boat stored at the end of the season.

Thank you for watching! So a 30ft slip cost about $3500 for the season from May until the end of October. And I paid about $1200 for winter storage and hull cleaning. I pay $250 to store my trailer over the summer while the boat is in the water. Definitely do able and well worth it from my experience. You’ll also have to consider boating expenses like gas but my boat is pretty good on gas so I maybe spent about 800 for the entire summer.

Hello Captain :-) ! Thank you for this video. Thought about installing this mount on my searay as I dont have a railing. I was just a bit afraid about the leverage of the grill to the glas fibre structure + gelcoat. Did you notice any cracks or damage over the time? Thx + best regards from Austria!

How does the VR6 handle that kind of heavy chop? We bought a Bayliner E18 deck boat a couple years ago, and it rides more like a flat bottom boat, so it is super rough in choppy water. I’m thinking about switching to the VR6. Any advice is appreciated!

I'm in the same situation...e18 rides terrible...not sure the vr6 looked any better...

@@joerod6106 I ended up buying a new VR6 last year and I'll never look back. It's a lot bigger, definitely pricier, but it was night and day in terms of ride out on the lakes. The deep V and all that extra weight was a game changer. We had a lot more fun this last year than in prior years with my E18.
