I never thought I’d be excited to see Cadillac racing… Props to them, that insane N/A V8 is the most exciting car on that track hands down. Cadillac is really making a comeback these days

Wow I am really surprised by the 296 GT3’s.. they really do make just a noise. The new Porsche sounds kinda like the 997 RSR with the gear changes and I love it. Also the caddy and Acura sound beautiful, the bimmer seems surprisingly louder? The Porsche is hard to tell because I don’t hear it actually..

That 296 Use 120° V6 It is therefore similar to Porsche boxer engine
You can't hear the Porsche hypercars because of the bop.
Their engine revs reached 10k rpm before the official tests. BoP reduced it to 8k rpm.
The led grill lights on the BMW…. The sound of the Cadillac….. these gtp cars are beautiful
There is something so perfect about modern day hybrid tech coupled to the brutal old school sound of the Cadillac V8

Those Caddy Hybrids are a good example of what a hybrid Indycar engine should sound like. With turbos of course. I understand that Indycar stressed the fast, and loud matra. However, they definitely missed the boat with regards to recruiting more manufacturers. The new GTP engine formula could have been an excellent opportunity for that series. The ball was dropped big time. Cheers to the 2023 racing season. 🍻 👏🏿 🎺 Let's enjoy this era as long as possible, and as long as the economy allows it.
If a new manufacturer wanted to join they would’ve had to do so a while back. They are switching to a new power train setup, i think 2.4L hybrid( could be 2.0L) in 2024.
They are aiming for 1000hp combined so on the mark there. You are right they should merry their engine combination with imsa, if a manufacturer could spread out their costs of an engine program on multiple platforms they’d be more likely to join.
The whole reason they sound that great is because they don’t have turbos, they are naturally aspirated.
@@MSchumacherfan see Indycar engines up to 2008 to be proven wrong. Don’t buy the BS.

Turtle the 02 Cadillac GTP car is only prepared for LeMan that is why it is there for Daytona for that race only

haha i was there yesterday and as the first session started for the imsa cars i think the bmw prototype crew ran out so fast with the car in front of them as they where going to the pits. it was like an action movie. i also saw sebastian bourdais and wayne taylor.
