LOTS OF LOVE,
ASH & TAY
I recommend oatmilk to anyone looking for an alternative to regular cow's milk, it tastes amazing, fiber rich so you'll digest it way easier, and it actually has calcium aswell.
I was never the type to drink cow’s milk or plant milk by itself but oat milk alone tastes so amazing. It’s just perfect
It’s the only plant milk that doesn’t ruin the taste of coffee, if anything it enhances it a little. I don’t mind almond milk but it’s awful with coffee.
Perfect for diet too
Where is the fiber left after the whole filtering process ? It’s all in the funnel and not in the milk 🥛
I wouldn't recammend it as a milk substitute because it's not fortified. Manufactured milk-alternatives are fortified, but even then, most don't compare when it comes to protein content (except for soy).
Fibre has never helped me digest anything.
Another tips is using very cold water to blend in order to no get slimy oat milk.
Thank you, I was gonna say that. It really helps! Also 1/2 c oats to 3 cups of water also works well. I strain twice if I am using it for tea or coffee.
You just don't want to get it warm. By using the blender for too long your actually heating up the milk a little bit making it slimy.
Thanks 🎉
To those wondering what to do with the fibre, you can still use the leftover fibre in the sieve to make oatbread. Just add peanut butter and banana, mix and bake. You still be healthy and full and happy.😊
so just peanut butter, banana and these oats left over - i can mush all this together and cook it? no eggs or flour?
yummmm
😮😮😮 thanks
You can put your dry oats in the freezer for an hour and that'll also reduce the slime
Oh thank you
I was wondering if i could...
1..use iced cold water
2..soak it for about 10min first in fridge before blending but i did not think about your suggestion.
Thank You
The reason store bought oat milk is not slimy is the enzyme beta-glucanase, which stops the beta-glucane in oats from becoming a slimy gel. They also add alpha-amylase to break down the starches to simpler sugars an make the oat milk "naturally" sweet and less starchy.
I have tried some recipes like the one shown in the video and they have all turned out slimy after sitting in the fridge for some hours, the only way to prevent this was to add some enzymes.
How much of each do you put in? Thinking of buying some of each
Papaya, bananas, kefir grains, and raw honey have enzymes that break down starches and can make it potentially less slimy and sweeter. If anyone tries them let me know if it works! 😊 papaya yogurt is really good but i wonder about milk 🤷🏻♀️
Update : DO NOT heat up this milk. It’s meant to be drink cold or it will turn in oat mush jello
It tastes good tho
Just whisk it continuously
Oat mush jello 😂😂😂
Well, isn’t that good if you want creamy coffee? Like for real?
Darn. I was about to try making tomato soup with it.
I feel like you'd benefit from putting the strainer ABOVE the bag, that way you can wring out the bag easier because the strainer catches the big solids.
I use oats, almonds, and coconut separately then mix all the milks together.Makes the perfect blend and lasts just as long as regular milk. 🥛❤ Finally tried it after watching your recipe! 😊
No no no! It was NOT THAT EASY 😭I’ve been walking around here buying almond milk 😭❤ thanks for posting!
I tried it, i just used a metal strainer, it works fine ! Taste amazing !! Thanks
Oh thank you ! I don’t have a nut milk bag so I was thinking of alternatives.
I used a metal strainer too I’m too broke to be fancy like her
Cheese cloth or something similar would work also if you're getting pieces
I'm trying this today 😃! I love anything with oats!
Then you should try the Danish/Scandinavian way of eating breakfast oats, no cooking involved
Soak ur oats first, don't make it directly
Well…how was it?
@@semarana4753 thank you for that. I tried this and the taste was horrible
Plant milk has doubled in price so will try this next time I run out. So bloody hard.
if you dont plan on drinking it plain, like just adding it to a recipe mixing oat flour and water works great
ik this was a year ago but that's exactly what this is... just with maple syrup. oat flour is ground oats which can be made in a blender.
Can we add raisins for sweetness
guys you don’t need to buy a “nut milk bag”, the colander is fine. save your money
Your the best ❤
Thank you specifying why not to over blend!!
Daily reminder: You are enough!! God made you for a reason:)
Merci mon chéri
Merci
Thank you
satan didn’t create us

Mom always teach me this in Mexico they call they oat water 😍
If it's good for tea and coffee then it should be warmed.. but warming so make it like oats soup so it's meaning less... Just for drinking as cold is very disappointing. Because I'm looking for a replacement to milk for using in tea..
Wow! i would have never guessed. I will give this a try. Maybe add some vanilla in there.
woah ur blender has a timer
😂 Lol! Check out the Ikich line if that blender impressed you! 😉
Bet ya it cost over 500 😂
This is my favorite video on how to make oat milk. 👍🏻
This 30-second tip is insane.. I have made oat milk for so long, and it was always too thick and hard to extract the milk from the oat.. this easy, it was super easy.
I don't know why you are the only one who says that. Thank you!
SO MANY GREAT QUESTIONS...
Can You Do A
Q & A VIDEO
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK, GREAT VIDEOS,
AND RECIPES
👏👏👏👍👏👍
Oat is fiber rich. However after you blend it, it's no longer rich in fiber.
Google states otherwise
Wow looks so creamy amd also use cold water so it doesn't slime up faster :D COLD COLD WATER
great tip tysm!
This oat juice is amazing
i tried this same method with
Almond and got almond juice
,soyabean juice,rice juice ,hazelnut juice
Oat and nuts etc aren’t a fruit so it’s not juice…
@@SteelVoidbyDestineneither is it "milk" :)
This was so helpful thank you!!
Add chilled water or ice cubes and blend it well....for non slimy milk 🎉
I wish I had watched this video before making my 1st oatmilk 😅. My oatmilk is slimy-smily. Thanks for the blending tip ❤
Thanks for not blasting my ear drums out and actually talking
How long would this last in the fridge?
Thanks
Like a week
Great recipes, where can I find your recipes!? Thank u in advance
U could use cold water for blending to prevent slimy
thanks dear... it turned out great
Using super cold water will also help reduce sliminess significantly.
I want to make some. Though I’m not worried that my kids and I will have no problem going through some yummy oat milk, I wonder about shelf life.
I will try this. Thsnk you.
So beautiful ❤️
Whats the point of the strainer if the milk bag has way smaller holes then the strainer. The bag is going to catch everything
Wow thanks!!
adding an enzyme makes the oatmilk sweet without needing to add sugar.
I have a vegan nutmilk making machine. It looks like a soup maker but it does the job
That so good because my mom she love oat milk so much
I ❤️ OATMILK
What mixer are you using?🙃
Can you link the Nut milk bags you use
I GOT SICK BLEEDING OATS I KNOW I SOUND A LIAR BUT MY DOCTOR ASKED ME TO STOP THEN I AM OK NOW THANKS GOD BLESS YOU ALL THERE
Girl. Lol why are u screaming at us? 😂😂 love the video tho!❤❤
Can you use granola oats so that way it already has the Sweet flavor? Or you have to use plain oats?
Good for hair and weight loss
What do you girls like to snack on during the day? Or have for supper?
Definitely going to use this recipe thanks little girl 🙏🏿👏🏿
The jar 😍😍😍
The jar with the cork top is from IKEA😊
The oat should be roasted First? Or Raw oat? Which one is better taste?
What do you do with the oat sludge?!?! Probably make good muffins?
can be used in muffins or cookies!
Wat happens wen you warm up your milk for tea?
I'm looking for a great blender to buy.. What blender are u using?
It’s a Vitamix it’s one of the best investments you can make.. pretty pricey over $500 dollars but a 10yr warranty it’s amazing for sure❣️
How many days does it last?
Oat milk is the only cow milk alternative that I actually like.
But i still drink normal full fat milk
Which machine do u use
do you use rolled oats?
How long does it stay good
Can I drink it without straining it?
Can I use vanilla essence instead of maple syrup?
Try your sweetener of choice. Vanilla is a nice addition but it would not sweeten it like maple syrup
Agave also
Do you need specific type of oats? My milk always tastes like oat flavoured water no matter how much oats I put in
Has to be rolled oats (preferably organic)
Can you make it without the bag thing?
Thats fine. It'll add texture to the milk
Meh it's slimy
At what speed?
hi do you think you can check your outlook? I really appreciate your videos and they are super helpful and super satisfying❤️❤️
Toast ur oats!
I'll have to try that
How long we can store this in refrigerator?
up to a week
Homemade oat milk tastes a lot like cold oatmeal -FYI …it tastes nothing like the store bought stuff.
So which one tastes better? Store bought or home made
Idc if it’s slimes tbh , it just reminds me of yogurt lol
Cold porridge
im early!
I just paid $7 for some oak milk…… never again.
Can i replace the maple serip with honey
Or maybe even pure cane sugar?
Yes you can
@@daryltaylor8977 yes of course
That's called a cheese cloth for anyone who wants to know the real name lol
What if i dont have that bag what should i use then?
Use cheesecloth
You could also use a really fine mesh strainer. Won't be as smooth as it is with the nut milk bag but it gets the job done
It’s still slimy if you heat it
It’s still slimy
Mine separate 😢 after a while
Can I just not strain it ? Lol will it get slimy if it don’t ? I’d hate to waste all that lol
It'll thicken up and have jellylike oat pieces in it, don't recommend.
Early
!
why is it so expensive then
What does the salt do?
improves the taste
@@London_Tipton thank you

Do oats have gluten ?
A little bit
They don’t, but cross-contamination can happen at fields and factories. So always choose certified gluten-free oats. They’re grown and packaged separately from gluten grains.
I wish she would have always speak up ingredients with instructions of each video
Bye you ain’t never used that bag before … I swear social media is so fake …
Girl we can see it sliming down that bottle 😂
Why she sounds Same as jaiden
I hate the slimy consistency so much:/
Her oat milk doesn’t look good

Yall know that's just really runny oatmeal right? 🤮
Soak it first, they should absorb water properly
Wastage of oats 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
No need to soak. Comes out pretty good without it being soaked
Just drink cow milk not this Haram
Great tip but this is blended oats with water. Nobody was milked and no mammals included
