    Holy shit, that's a lot of equipments required for a latte. Us in the developing nations just manage to have the bare ingredients with a sachet of instant coffee. Looks nice though.

      Yep, you can totally make it with instant coffee! Have you ever tried dalgona (whipped) coffee, but spooned over hot milk instead of cold? Delicious.

      Oat milk taste way better than regular milk and it's way healthier for you too. Regular milk has a low pH which means it's acidic and it's not good for your body. That whole drink milk campaign and shit was a complete lie and you don't need milk as an adult. Oat milk is better for you in every way.

    Great video! What type of oil did you add to the oat milk?

    • @ButteredSideUp
      @ButteredSideUp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think this was melted coconut oil, but I've also used avocado oil I believe! Either would be great choices, but probably use expeller pressed coconut oil if you don't want that coconut flavor.

      Aw, so sorry that you've been diagnosed with dairy allergies! I would say look in grocery stores, and if all else fails, you could probably find some online!

    Great Video!!!! 2:17 Why do you add oil?

    • @ButteredSideUp
      @ButteredSideUp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s what manufacturers add to create a “barista blend” - it helps to make the oat milk creamier.

  • @EmineKutluca

    If you boil coffee like by using french press as u did in the video it wouldnt be espresso. You made a filter coffee and their taste are very different from each other

    • @ButteredSideUp
      @ButteredSideUp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh definitely, that's why I said it was approximately espresso strength coffee, not *actual* espresso! Also, I use 190F water, not boiling water to make the strong coffee in the French press! Not everyone owns an espresso machine, but they'd still like to experience the delights of strong coffee with frothed milk on top!

    • @EmineKutluca
      @EmineKutluca 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ButteredSideUp i agree. ive missed that you said it was not an actual espresso. may be because of my language but its okay. if there is another missunderstood thing sorry

    How hard is to give a simple fucking coffee recipe without needing a fancy machine, getting it to a specific temperature, or other ingredients people don’t just have laying around. Dear god find me a TH-cam barista that actually makes simple coffee people want to make.

    • @ButteredSideUp
      @ButteredSideUp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      That's frustrating if you don't have the equipment! You can also make “espresso” strength coffee with instant coffee: mix together 4-6 teaspoons of instant coffee with 4 tablespoons of hot water. Or substitute about 1/4 cup of really strongly brewed coffee. I personally find that the extra effort put into the details is worth it for the improved flavor, but you can definitely get close without fussing!

    • @Jen281
      @Jen281 ปีที่แล้ว

      do a pour over if you want simple. Sheeesh no need to get so angry 😂

    • @Jen281
      @Jen281 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also why would you need a youtuber to teach you a simple coffee? Use your brain. You will need some type of coffee maker to make coffee. That’s how it works.
