  • In this video I show you how easy it is to change the oil in a Maserati Granturismo. My local dealer quoted me $600 to perform this service and I was able save a little over $450 by doing the work myself. Let me show you.
Please recycle your old oil. Wal-Mart, Auto-Zone, and Advance Auto will accept your old oil for FREE.
The parts and tools I used can be found below:
Maserati Oil Filter (4.7L oil filter): amzn.to/3EAQhJA
Top Euro Oil Filter (Aftermarket): amzn.to/3Mh06Pk
    NewYall Oil Filter (Cheapest): amzn.to/3rGeMzw
    Maserati Pennzoi oil: amzn.to/36zQujy
Maserati Quaker State oil (10 quarts needed): amzn.to/37yntFp
Oil that I used: Shell Rotella T6 (3 jugs needed): amzn.to/3jY1A4N
    10mm allen socket: amzn.to/3jZ6gHE
Generic oil filter wrench: Generic oil filter wrench: amzn.to/399FMBn

It was super simple to change the oil in my wife's Granturismo. Does your car have the 3.0 V6TT? If so, it shares the same engine as the Ghibli I did an oil change video on. Have you seen it? The process should be very similar and the Ghibli was just as easy. :) Good luck!

@@DIYDanCars Bummer :-) That would be a long drive to get it to you. ;-) The Quattroporte has been great but just have a few random things like the rear passenger side window shade wont stay down, it will go down but then it goes right back up? And the A/C is just blowing hot air now too. It was stuck blowing cold or hot air out of the defrost vents about 6 months ago and I got that fixed under warranty about a week before the warranty ran out. They said they just some sort of software update to fix that issue and it did fix that. And they changed the oil and they charged me $650 and wanted to charge me $1,800 in total to do the check up service to turn the wrench light off... they would not turn the light off without me paying for that!!! I was like so you mean $650 is not enough to pay you for the oil change to turn the light off after doing it? I mean the other dealers turn that light off on my Mercedes and also on my Lexus when they change the oil... So I said screw that I will just live with that change oil light on.... they are crooked as hell to do that I think! I could only imagine how much they are going to want to charge me to fix those other 2 things.... Thank you so much for taking the time and putting in the effort to post videos like these!

@@buildingAbiz No problem! I try and help when I can by making these videos. Sorry to hear about your experience, that really sucks! This is one of the reasons why I never bring my car to a dealer for work. If I were you, try and find a good independent mechanic in your area that services Maseratis. They will be much cheaper and will also treat you right without all of the BS associated with dealer service (up sells). Did you see my video on how to reset the service light on a Maserati? You have to buy a $200 tool, but it's so worth it if you plan on doing the oil changes yourself. Good luck with it!
