    You will need 3 gallons to drain and fill the coolant in a Granturismo.
    The coolant I used can be found below:
    Prestone AMAM Ready To Use: amzn.to/3M17M8g
    Coolant Tester: amzn.to/3KVtdas
    Latex Gloves: amzn.to/3vhosBx

    That ramp is cool. I have been under my Granturismo all weekend. It is on ramps and jacks and it is nasty and cold… you have reminded me I need to add coolant to my list of jobs…

      My 4 post life has been the single greatest tool I have purchased for my garage. They're pretty reasonable to. I think it was about 3200 installed. I have a new Maserati video coming out soon regarding tire pressure sensors and how to program them. I finally got rid of my "TPMS Malfunction Light" on the dash. The dealer wanted a few thousand to repair and I did it for about $230. :)

      Thanks, Bill! I appreciate the kind words! However, I think most owners bring their Granturismo to a mechanic judging by the views these videos are getting.

      Does your Quattroporte have the 3.0L V6? If so, check out my Ghibli oil change video that can be found below since it has the same engine.

    Okay Dan didn’t mean to come at you sideways last time
    But what I meant was now my car sounds kinda weird and has a check engine light that keeps coming . Says low cooolant temp maybe because it’s cold outside here and once it warms up it’s good . But when I look up it says adding coolant not for this vehicle can ruin the gaskets and other comments such as radiator. My question is does your MASI have a check engine light on since using this coolant ? Before I did this I didn’t have this check engine light. I know that this coolant meets the OEM specs but when I ask a guy(friend ) who works at maserati and has owned 3 does not recommend adding other coolant. What’s your thoughts? Just don’t get why my light is on now it doesn’t run bad but seems kinda of like now there is a lag when stepping on the gas. Thanks Dan ! Let me know . And do you have a buisness phone number by chance ? Thanks let me know

    • @DIYDanCars
      @DIYDanCars  ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem. Why not have you friend take a look at the car? I really have nothing to offer because you haven't gotten the check engine light code read. If you can get me the code, then I can help.
      He's absolutely right! You never want to mix coolant types and I said this a few times in the video, hence the reason why I flushed it multiple times. As to your check engine light, no I don't think a fluid change would cause that. I think you have other issues going on but now I'm speculating because you didn't provide the trouble code of why the check engine light is on for.

    No wonder the dealership is so expensive! 3 hours removing all the parts to get to the task to perform. 10 minutes doing it. 3 hours placing all the obstacles back..LOL
