  • In this video I show you how easy it is to replace the air filter in a Maserati Granturismo. The dealer normally replaces the air filter during the "2 year service", but you can do it yourself for much cheaper!
    The parts and tools I used can be found below:
    Dipped in gold Maserati branded air filter: amzn.to/3jTUezm
    Aftermarket air filter: amzn.to/3OC2bYj
    Air filter t-bolt clamp: amzn.to/3EEDDt2
    If you plan on using the factory ear clamp you will need this tool: amzn.to/3uZojUr

    This video helped me so much!
    Wish i saw your videos before i took mine in. They charged me $224 for oil change and want $338 for air filter and $638 for spark plugs. From now on I’m doing my oil and air filter myself just gotta find out how to do the spark plugs

      Thanks Big Al D! I have the cams installed, engine bay painted, rebuilt S4 brakes ready to install, and i'm now getting ready to overhaul the S4 suspension from my parts car. I'm currently working on an update video but it keeps taking a back seat. I should have something soon. :)

    Great videos Dan, I try to avoid going to the stealership for anything other than Orem parts. Your videos will help me out with my maintenance on my GT. What is the kind of car lift/stacker are you using and what is the height of your garage needed for the lift.
    Please keep the videos coming, great work.

      Thanks, Eric! Happy to help! My lift is made by Direct-Lift. I have seen these lifts installed in garages with as little as a 10ft ceiling.

    Certainly a cheap filter, some rave about BMC or K&N, do you think they are worth the money?

    • @DIYDanCars
      @DIYDanCars  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, in my opinion they are a waste of money. There was no difference in quality between the Maserati filter and the one I bought.

    quick question, recently bought 2010 GT MC Sport and had to order new key and fob....can i start my car with the key only or do I need to have the car towed to dealer to program key fob i have the key fob thank you

      Thank you Dan and what happened was i had to buy the body control module per ...calling another "stealership in another state and he said the same thing...so yeah I got slammed. But I do so appreciate your videos on the changing the differential and air filter and the brakes.....like I said I have a 2010 with only 22k miles on her and I have owned her since May of 2022. I had her oil changed not the the Stealership but cost me but not as much...I am learning but I just dont want any "jo blow mechanic either working on her because she is a Maserati...... but I will change the diff myself and the air filter cleaner....but not to sure about the pads and caliphers but I do not have to take it to the Dealers because someone said who Maserati can only do it with special tools....and I did not see any special tools in your videos.....thank you again
