    If that’s a wet sump car you got the right filter. I believe start of part number for wet sump is 28 dry should start with 18. Great video

    How did you do maintenance system reset on car after doing the oil change?

  • @shadh2530
    @shadh2530 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I did my oil change last month for the first time on my GT and it was a disaster. Didnt realize that the old oil filter gasket was left behind (hidden in that rubber compartment) and when I installed the new one and started the car, it spilled all over! I had the engine running for about 30 secs before realizing the oil was spraying out. Besides the mess it caused, I just hope it didnt damage the engine too much.

    • @RichardCuico
      @RichardCuico  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds terrible! Well at least the next time you do it'll be a breeze. As long as there was enough oil cycling through your engine is should be fine. When doing your own service though, there's always issues you run into.

    Hey Richard, hope you’re well, just wondering to know is changing oil or filter oil will be the same on Maserati GT stradale and Maserati GT MC Sport? Thanks for tuning in Alex! The process should be exactly the same. The only time it would be different is if you were running the older GranTurismos with the 4.2L. Feel free to ask any other questions if you have any!

    • @RichardCuico
      @RichardCuico  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hahahaha I would if my battery is flat but maybe instead of buying one you can try putting the car on a battery tender and see if the charge holds or getting a jump starter box to jump start the car and let it run. Don't jump start it using another car as it might fry some of the parts

    FYi 4.2L GT's aren't dry sump motors, they are wet sump, use same filter and process as 4.7L GT's. 4.2L dry sumps were in quattroporte's
