Would love to have this in my room. V12 revving as an morning alarm lmao 😂
Carbon monoxide poisoning is a life-threatening illness that happens after breathing in fumes that contain carbon monoxide. Makes you sleepy.
Not a good alarm then I guess if it makes you sleepy
If it can makes me sleepy I take it XD
@@untournevisplatquelconque5402as long as it has an air filter or ventilation system, it would be a funny thing to have in your bedroom XD
@@TheRealKGaming Yeah exactly, along with the v8, the i6 and the others XD
An rc car with this motor, is a beast.
A boat would be cooler imo
I’m saying because I don’t know, but wouldn’t an engine like this be impractical for an rc car? Seems like it would be too heavy
@@coconutmallmanit all depends on the size of RC car you build... ;)
@@coconutmallman For the most part yes, but it looks small enough to fit in the Primal RC Raminator
I was thinking more like a mini go-kart for a child. That would be so epic if it was a put into a mini Ferrari F40
This sounds absolutely incredible. I would love to see a larger scale car built with this
a V12 go kart would be cool
no idea if itd be powerful enough though
@@dhc2powerful enough for a guinea pig
@@dhc2its should be powerful enough to compete 50cc, because the friction and everything make this engin slow, the sound is number 1
Thanks JohnnyQ90,
the fuel distribution appears to be too rich in the centre cylinders and good to a little too lean in the outer cylinders due to the very different exhaust gas temperatures. This is probably because the full volume of the intake manifolds is less than the full volume of the cylinders before they merge and go to the carburettor. The speed in the intake manifolds is also a key to perfect engine running. At max torque, 83 m/s in relation to the mean piston speed is the key. If the intake manifold is divided into several segments, such as an 83 m/s segment for idling at approx. 800^-1min and one for 1/2 max torque speed, then one for max torque and the total cross-section 83 m/s at maximum speed, and if a whole cylinder fullumen enters this group before they are grouped together to the carburettor, the exhaust gas temperature for all 12 cylinders should only differ by a few ±10°.

This sounds like an interesting and very difficult engineering challenge to solve for a typical hobbyist (I imagine the only way to solve it is to alter the intake manifold or make a new one.) It also sounds like it might be a very good reason to move to an ITB setup, as complicated as that would become.
Indeed. Easiest way is to provide a large plenum into which 6 (or all 12) equal length trumpets enter. One butterfly at the entrance of the plenum. And fuel injection in each trumpet. This is what Ferrari did from the 456GT on for their V12s. Before that they used one carb per cylinder (6 double carbs) like most other performance engines.
This motor seems a bit odd, with nice exhaust manifolds but very crude intakes. Surely the builder can improve on this. And also drastically reduce fuel consumption and see a significant increase in output!
It will be another bit of junk from Enjomor. My v8 has turned out to be just that junk.
@@Imagineering100 Noch 3 Stunden 25 bis ich Zeit habe darüber ansehlich audiativ nach zu denken. 15 Uhr 35 22.02.204
Take a Dremel to the intake manifold.
Cool stuff.
Cant be the only one who misses your old handmade turbines out of tin cans and toy motors
I really like the way that muffler sounds. Great video as always! Doesn't sound right to me as shown by the thermal cam and that fuel comsumption!
JohnnyQ- the way that fuel drops at idle is surreal
not properly tuned?
@@BeezyKing99nope, its more cylinders that make that go down
Would love to see someone fit it in a motorbike!
Lol. That's exactly what I was thinking! My son has a 70cc dirtbike, and I was like "OMG,having this engine in that bike would be awesome!" Lol.
This would be the best sounding moped ever.
Would this engine have enough power to run it?
Interesting question! I'd like to know of the actual power of this engine also!@@DerPfoertner
@@DerPfoertner actually this engine might produce 5-7 horsepower ,, but it has loads of torque because it's a V12
A Lamborghini Miura RC car with this engine and one of your well crafted transmissions would be a fabulous piece of engineering. Love your work as always Johnny!
Love the smoothness of a V12! Looks like it's barely vibrating (looking at the fuel tank).
It's just fixed on the frame
@@yourbigfan1777Right, and it doesn’t appear to have rubber bushings or any other type of vibration isolation. And yet the gasoline has basically no movement at all, no ripples or other signs of vibration. A V12 is pretty much perfectly balanced as far an an ICE is concerned. They’re known to be basically vibration-free.
Looks like the only thing left to really catch up on with these small motors is to make them fuel injection now that would be crazy
Big supercharger required and blow it off ❤
Man, that thing sure likes its gas, doesn't it?😛 I would imagine a little more base timing and leaning the idle mix out would probably help (after you get a few hours of run time on it).😉 A set of ITB's with injection would probably REALLY wake it up!😄
EFI would be really hard to do in such a small scale, speciallly multi point EFI (required for ITBs).
But a second carb would probably help, that one seems too small for a 72cc engine
It's doesn't run on gas. It run's no petrol.
@@TheManLab7”gas” is what we use to describe what you would call petrol, over here in the US.
*its (it's is a contraction of it is or it has, its implies possession)
@@TheManLab7over here petrol isn't used and just means petroleum. It could be anything from jelly to plastic cups. Gas means gasoline and makes much more sense.
If you want that screaming sound you need to make an all aluminum exhaust system and include an X-pipe. If it revs high enough it's satisfaction guaranteed
*Titanium

Misfire on 2 cylinders from thermo camera
yes seems that those 2 cold cylinders are not firing
They were still firing. Otherwise they wouldnt be sitting at 80 degrees. Probably some issues with the valves or the carbs are feeding too much gas.
It’s more likely the other 4 runners are just restricted and not flowing as well
@@ncopp4358 ~75° is the temp of the coolant in the engine. Combustion temp is higher than coolant temp, 119° in other pipes. The claim made was all 12 were hitting but the example was incomplete by not showing temp during off-idle revving to confirm valve or carb irregularity. Presumption can only be made at this time.
That sounds absolutely sick!
that revs up so nicely
This setup in a mini custom kart frame with a fiber body would rock for car shows.
Liike a viper gocart.
Don't forget a flywheel eh!
3:12
Man, that chuffing!
I normally only hear that on large-scale V16s, never would’ve expected such a similar tone from such different engines!
This is engineering & craftsmanship at it's finest!
V12 Mercedes project would be great
Amazing Video ! thanks for uploading!! :- )
This is amazing
Nice job
Absolute fire, this is awesome
man that sounds really good too!
Please continue the 1/5 RC Car with the v8 engine i really want to see it.
Amazing engineering !
Nice video ! It sounds awesome! It does look like it wants to rev higher though.
That thing burns fuel faster than my 3L V6 TD :D very cool
3:44 I love that startup
Now that you have v12 engines in your collection, I think it's time for a 12-into-1 exhaust collector build so we can hear a miniature recreation of the formula 1 wail
Need to tune it to reach 12k rpm.
Yes but actually no, first of all it'll be full of petrolhead comments about complaining V12 F1 cars trashing the current because sound and no to the perfomance
Properly tuned it seems like it could potentially hit 12K or close to it. Definitely something up with those two cylinders whether that could be intake fuel supply or exhaust related and we didn't get to see the six on the other side.
It did not seem to have a smooth high RPM
Those headers are soo cool. I think that the problem with uneven temperature might be caused by intake manifold.
Those cylinders appear to be much cooler than the others and this would presume that they are not firing
Yeah. They are not burning fuel.
That sound, though.
The "smooth buzzsaw" sound of 12 cylinders. 👌👌
Sounds exactly like a McLaren F1, good stuff
you should sell a kit of 3d printed parts pre done wiring harnesses and all that to get from just the engine and radiator and end up with a test bench like that. Include pre cut extruded aluminum, tubing, harness, switches, switch mounts, and everything needed. Idk, but right now it takes so much extra to get an already expensive thing to even work at all that it just isn't very appealing to someone who doesn't have all of the tools to make something like that easily. Great work as always. Maybe instead of a test bench kit you can make a kit to install the v12, v8, i6, i4, or v2 into an rc car with all the hardware necessary to make that happen.
I owned a v12 jaguar once ,and you could see the fuel gauge going down when you gave it some.Great car, just drank fuel like it was going out of fashion.
Putting two 3-1 collectors before the main collector will help exhaust flow a lot. Additionally, having 2 carbs will help with fuel distribution since each carb is feeding half the engine, akin to stacked v6 engines. Finally, addressing the inconsistent exhaust manifold temp: that can be caused by fuel mixture or timing issues. Investigate the possibility of late timing in the outer cylinders and rich mixture in the center cylinders.
Dude, I don't know how you have the disposable income for these toys, but my god you are my hero! I would LOVE to build a RC car to fit this thing!
This is a big engine!
sounds great! now i hope for a good solution to the fuel problem and maybe a diff exhaust and turbo/supercharger?
This thing is sick! I would love to see a set of tiny f1 style headers on it! It would probably sound crazy
Lovely sound!
Your motors are so beautiful, you are such a cool mechanic 👏👍👍👍👍👍
Good luck 🍀
Nice 3d printed switch mount! 👍
That is a thing of beauty. Congratulations, much respect. Absolutely brilliant. Some (constructive criticism) thoughts:
1) Ditch the 3D printed housings - they don't do the rest of the model justice. Either step up to a better quality 3D printing process or fabricate those somehow - machined billet, welded sheet metal, molded plastic...
2) How do you KNOW those cylinders are firing? Given the "one cylinder per flange" design - I'd say they aren't.
3) It boggs on acceleration - I suspect it is running lean or timing could be adjusted.
4) You've got distributors so I assume you have spark plugs - but what is that thing you're disconnecting after start? Reminds me of a glow plug battery.....
Don't let anything I've said take away from your achievement. It DOES sound great but I think it can be even smoother.
This is beast bro
Beautiful engine! Curious about your background. Are you a hobbyist or a professional?
Any RC car with this motor would be a total demon machine!!
Hi Guy, this sound won't never be liké an 8 cylinder at idle. I'll Always remember this symphony with m'y dad' F100 , with 4 places in front while we were small kids.🤩🥰☺️😃
Yo johnny q whats up with u? Thanks fir all the awesome stuff u make and show us!
Soon we will be blessed with the choice of two V12s. what a time to be alive 😀
this one sounds so cool
I looked at the link and didn’t see that it was for sale. are there any horsepower ratings?
If you look close the cold exhaust pipes are the same colour as the exhaust flange there not firing at all thats residual heat
finaly !!! this is the greatest engine ever
Are there any racing series for RC cars with these engines, the Colney and Toyan v8? There needs to be one.
How many HP does this engine in your opinion ?
In any case bravo it's super interesting (and then with a compressor over it it would be a must !)
Good sound 👌
These are very cute and I'd love to have one! I think the carbs on these little are a bit sketchy tho.
Now you need a supercharger.
What is the included angle of this engine? Beautiful thank you for sharing
please consider experimenting with different exhaust manifold configurations as in Maisteer channel
Looking awesome!
Not to sound like safetynick, but carbon monoxide is no joke. Especially with a thirsty motor like this one. It should not be run indoors unless it's sitting next to an open window with a shop fan blowing the exhaust outside.
4:46 it sounds like a ferrari engine
Great videos. Would design a twin carburetor manifold. Bet that would help with mixture in each cylinder
That thing is huge! I’m waiting for the day when he starts using an engine hoist to move these things around
This would be so sick in a boat!
Stick this engine on a rc boat
Some cylinders not firing?
Its interesting how the sound characteristics of an engine block can still be heard in the mini versions... that Sounds like a V12!
Nice motor!!!
You use G13 for liquid cooling?
3:05 heard a fan kick on
will it run inverted?
do any of these come with a forced injection system like a turbo or supercharger? would love to see a vid on one if it did
This is excellent 👍
Thermostat if too cool at pump end
Nice model, iam really need one to my bicycle.
I can't wait to see what you do with this one!
Should make for a nice power plant.
I'd start with some better carbs...A nice cnc'ed custom intake?
It needs more volume and a better air/fuel mix distribution for sure.
Good video!
I'd love to see someone retrofit a pit bike or scooter with something like this!
Yes, a New Upload !! 👍👍😎🙂
how does this compete with the honda single cylinder 72cc?
When comes tuning? Isnt a low RPM ?
Hi bro , do you think get more high speed ? No more fuel ?
This is the coolest thing !!!!
That's beyond cool. I don't know what you do with it. An R/C car built around it is going to be nearly big enough to require registration, lol. There are street scooters that have less displacement than that thing. Heck, there are juvenile dirt bikes that are only 50 cc's. That thing is a little nuts. But still super cool.
Where do I find that little hand crank fuel pump?
Your exhaust setup makes it sound like an Aston Martin V12 at lower revs and a bit like ferrari's V12s at higher revs imo
Do they offer a V12 kit that you can assemble yourself?
That was music to my ears...
I'm late to the party, but mom wake up! JohnnyQ90 posted a video.
Oh my goodness where did you get that hand crank pump?!
Thing seems like it needs boost great video
It would be really cool to hear such a small v12 with equal lenght headers to really hear it scream
Look closer. Pretty sure they already are equal length....
They are equal length they’re just very poorly made and 4 of the 6 runners are very restricted
From the looks of your thermal it looks like 2 cylinders are down on that one bank. Is that right?
As these get more and more advanced an ECU would be cool
Can you put that on a miniature engine dyno?
What's the compression ratio?
Now that's purrin like a kitten 😂
This would be wild in an RC speedboat.
can you tune the timing?
whats the torque of this ?
