      Have you seen this car take a tight turn? It kinda - just slides off the road, because this engine is a 800 pound pig that creates a really messed up center of gravity. I had a 1971 Catalina that drove just like this. 400 big block - pushing over 550 ft-lb of torque at low rpm with high octane fuel, because it came from the factory at almost 10:1. There is nothing special happening here other than what they are charging. I am a data highway expert, and I have been in factories with automation, and technology that makes this clip look like 1982. If you are impressed with this you should get out more.

      @brarautorepairs 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      It's not just plastic and they are designed for quiet operation. You get into trouble with long drain intervals that seem to be the recommendation from BMW. End of the day, I think the timing chain replacement is something that needs to be done on an engine at some point in time along with the guides. Too bad manufacturers stopped using timing belts since they had a predefined service interval and didn't rely on engine oil for cooling and lubrication.

      @@brarautorepairs thanks. I work in the plastics extrusion industry, and can assure you that Nylon is a plastic. What ever they are made of, and given that they tend to degrade over time and get brittle and fracture, seems to indicate that these are not the right polymer for the job.

    That is a beautiful motor. There are a lot of luxury items that work off motor such as heated seats state of the art transmission power everything etc. If you can’t afford factory maintenance you shouldn’t buy the car. I’m sure an excellent warranty is standard. The body is another beautiful piece of art. Watching a leather headrest fitted is stand alone awesome.
