AKG 414 are Bright mics. I love them on over heads. The C12 is a beautiful tube mic. You have to have it warmed up for over an hour to get that warm tube velvet sound.

We used those old stretchy book covers or dryer sheets for pop filters on a old computer stick mic in the late 90s 🤣 ....on a side note, i saw someone use an iphone as a studio and mixed it to sound amazing. As an engineer with gear, was pissed of course 🤦

Hey @Devon. Quick question. And I'm sorry I have to ask this on here. But I bought a lot of your mixing templates, and I'm happy with them. When I bring them up in Protools I get that "Some bus paths could not be mapped to their previous output paths:" message before starting up. Can you do a tutorial on that please I know I'm not getting the full benefits of the templates. It says I'm missing 8 Bus paths

Translating the mix from headphones to all speakers. Is there a certain headphone that is able to do that which is affordable?
Is education needed? What other routes are available besides school to learn music production or mixing and mastering? Is there more success found in doing one over the other.
I am currently going to FSU for my bachelors in Audio production and my brothers and I always argue experience vs. schooling. I would love to hear y’all’s opinion on this topic. Also budget set-ups or even going specific into which monitors/speakers y’all use and why would be dope.
Could you do a One Gotta Go on audio interfaces like the different budgets, because you have mentioned that the audio interface is probably the most important gear in a studio
The Manley Reference Cardioid sounds way better than the U87!?? What!... Haven't used any of their other mics but my god The Reference Cardioid is Perfection especially with my Apollo X and BAE1073💯💯
