Thanks so much for these videos! This channel has helped me so much along these past 4 years when it comes to producing and editing my own vocals. I always listened to the living weirdo covers since 2013. I currently am working on something really special to be released in October! A debut EP and it would not be possible without his vocal chains and mastering chains.

Logics update a couple years ago was nuts, hard to quickly explain but they came at FL with its new step sequencer which has a new crazy feature to convert audio back and forth to and from a pattern region. Also saving different types of patterns as loops wild. Then the new sampler! Also hard to sum up but with optimized sampler
everything is drag and drop files to instant optimized instruments but also completely customizable with keyboard layout and reads and corrects pitch placement of sounds. That combo’d with its drum machine designer everything drag and drop samples labeled to any keys any set drums 808 combination you want.

That's amazing he mention about sonic composition. I feel with a lot of my stuff lately I have to scrap it because(at the time I didn't know if there was a word until now) I just couldn't shape the songs right and I think just now(over the last few days) I feel I am starting to find that after about a year or so of making and sending beats to the graveyard

The award for best stock sampler is a tie between Ableton with Simpler and Bitwig's sampler.
With Simpler dropped into each slot of a drum rack you can build custom drum racks with a vast amount of control over each slot. You can even add up to 127 different drum samples onto one drum racks slot and setup a macro contro and map that to a knob through midi that gives you the ability to go through all 127 sounds on that pad just by turning that knob on your midi controller.
Bitwig's sampler has the ability to modulate any parameter on it and has granular capabilities.

LOL...I work in several DAWs but I would have to say the main ones I work in is REASON and Studio One Pro...but I usually work in whatever DAW I am feeling to work in for that day or session.(I also have Cubase Pro 12, Ableton Live 11, FL Studio, Pro Tools 12, Logic Pro X, Harrison Mixbus 7, and believe it or not...I started a session in MPC 2 software since they have audio tracks) I'm also going to get 4 more and then I'm calling it...and those are Nuendo 12, Serato Studio, DP 11, and LUNA!! (All software is paid for & legit) Why so many?....well it's for the experience of working on them as well as for collaborating, compatibility, and flexibility......As for FL Studio being the most downloaded DAW ever...was the mostly pirated that a lot of people are still running hot on their systems to this day...lol

I honestly think engineers dont talk about synths enough like what how do you treat them? You can find a million tutorials on acoustic snares and acoustic instruments but alot of the electronic sounds get left out .. i mean i get it because there is just so many different tones and textures you can have so its hard to say .. you can do this or that.. but if any content creators need a open path .. that would be a good one

Hybrid studios bring more options..For example, I have an analog Roland I can run external signals through, and I do the same with hardware samplers like the ASR10. On top of that stop updating software and computers as much, and work with what you have. Plus,I use Windows, Mac OS, open source, and Linux. Then you can make your own plug ins, efx, and processing tools..Why would i keep paying for the same stuff I can make, develop, and tweak???

Blessed I'm Ben and I've learn so much from you guys especially Devon... Your the man... Ok, FL god, :) Im with you. Fl is for creating, Protools is for mixing and mastering. I create in FL then mix it down with protools. Fact, when I finish creating and mixing in FL, I would load the tract or file through Pro-tools without doing not to the tract and it will come out sounding better. But to me Pro-tool FL Studio theyre both for diferent purposes those either can manage each's task...
just my opinion tho... But guys keep doing what your doinggg...
