    Moral of the story is if your broke do what I gotta do to make that hood music at a cheap expense but once u reach ye level or some type of level u gotta buy it and that’s the route I’m going and every energizer and artist have went through this stage

      Honestly yeah, everyone goes through this stage and I can’t hate on anyone when I was once there. That said, there were multiple times I wish I didn’t do it and just mastered the tools I could afford/awesome free resources we have out there like stock plugins and sounds, Analog Obsession, Airwindows, Tokyo dawn, U-he and many more. That said, keep grinding no matter what and thank you for checking out my video! 🙏

    In the last two years, I paid $580 for a DAW, $500 for a notation editor, another $350 for an audio spectral editor, and over $1,400 for plugins... and that's just to compete sonically with other producers and engineers. While I don't use cracked software (at least not for the last nine years), I totally understand why people do. It's expensive, and it's kind of disingenuous to tell people they don't need expensive gear and software to make good music while you yourself are using expensive gear and software.

    • @RAYNETHESAVIOUR
      @RAYNETHESAVIOUR  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@MyFeltMusic I definitely understand that, that said I made my money off free plugins, making friends and sharing plugins they bought, and financing plugins and software through splice. I also got a cheap interface that came with a mid tier version of ableton. All that and a 600 dollar setup. It took a while before I could throw money at a bunch of gear but nobody asks about the come up, only judging what they see now. I’ll make another video instead about how plug-in options don’t make you better, consistency does. That said I respect the hustle and appreciate you tuning in 🙏

      Plugins and Daw's matter a lot in music production, people say you don't need expensive shit but in some cases you do really need it, like I use Reaper free daw, and a lot of free plugins but I have to admit that I use crack version of Serum and camelphat, why because vital doesn't have that much features as serum and I already have learned a lot of things of serum because every other youtube tutorial about sound design is done in Serum and I also have lots of Presets of serum so yea I use these 2 crack plugins but I am looking forward to buy serum when I actually have enough money to buy it.

    You should know THE RISKS of investing in plugins as this companies will make you RE-INVEST to use them every time windows or your DAW is updated, sometimes without you even being aware of the update. Pirate away these crooks don't deserve our money.

    The irony is, when you're a professional, one of your best thing you can do is to use cracked software that works on your system that you never update, have a backup of that system and a folder of all the installers on a separate backup hard drive.
    If you buy into a subscription model, install an update for a piece of software you've paid for, you're risking being able to open up previous sessions. I've learned it the hard way.
    Companies will always make their latest software incompatible with your operating system in order for you to pay for the upgrade, and if something is not beta tested correctly, it can break your system, and your deadlines do not care about you trying to troubleshoot your projects that you upgraded for the company's greed.
    Not to mention if you're using a subscription model which you don't need anymore, or maybe worst, the company stops the development of their products. Now you'll need to pay for a month of subscription just to open up a session, or worst, downgrade your system with the installers that it has worked with when you worked on the project.

    • @joshuagardner894
      @joshuagardner894 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Greed has nothing to do with this. A company cannot possibly make their software 100% bug free with every configuration. They do not intentionally break software to force you to update. I have some sympathy but lets not confuse immoral motives with the issue at hand. I really hate that people form this line of thinking that software companies are out there to try to screw their customers over, that is not a good business model and no one would be in business if this were the case.

    • @skk6811
      @skk6811 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@joshuagardner894 Making sure perpetual license owners get a maintenance update to run their software on a newly released OS vs. forcing them to buy an upgrade plan in order to keep using their software on a new computer, think I sometimes misunderstand the word "perpetual". It's not about breaking the old software, of course you could use forever. Discontinue upgrading an older release which has active customers is somewhat equivalent of forcing them to pay more though.

    • @joshuagardner894
      @joshuagardner894 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@skk6811 At what point is a software company allowed to stop supporting an old version? As a company updates and adds new features to keep their software competitive, they have to create different major versions and continue to update all of these versions independently in perpetuity? I think this is unrealistic. There are alot of reasons to use cracked software, not the least of which, DRM and demos being too restrictive, but the reasoning that there is an expectation that a company should provide updates forever. Very few companies exist with this business model because they just would not be able to sustain that business model. Audio companies are few and far between, I am aware of Cuckos Reaper that does this and Omnisphere did this but eventually, started selling premium addons because they could not sustain a perpetual license without bringing in additional revenue. Its unrealistic to expect a company to provide updates forever, especially for less expensive plugins. I will grant you, some companies abuse the process, requiring yearly (or even bi-yearly purchases, looking at Steinberg Cubase), but, for the most part, they do not.

    This is a hobby for me. I pay for products that are good. I use cracked software to test and experiment to determine what I should buy. Unfortunately, some plugins either have no trial, or it is limited, or, time limited, and I dont want to deal with the pressure of playing with a plugin in the next seven days to determine if I should buy or not. Most software is just too expensive, with no option to purchase at a steeply discounted price for people who do not make money from this hobby. If the EULA and purchase options provided the option to purchase at a steeply discounted price if no money will ever be made using the plugin, it would be better for the industry. A monthly install plan would also be a great option.

I have NEVER paid for any plugin unless it was free and offered a support option. Over 90% of plugins receive regular updates shortly after release. It's laughable to hear the nonsense you're spouting. At the end of the day, someone has to be the cash cow for me to get plugins for free. Also, the default plugins in DAWs and free plugins are comparable, and sometimes even better. In over 25 years of using cracks for software and games, I have never had any issues, and in 99% of cases, they work as they should - sometimes even better due to the removal of crappy DRM.

      @@chrystianmanikowski8338 I’d ask the name of your studio cause I’d love to see the rooms and setup! Congrats on the years of success man. I’m glad that worked out for you! I ended up getting tons of friends with much more success than myself and we all just shared plugins if the plugins permitted. My after making a some money, I decided to buy everything because I couldn’t have any issues with anyone in the studio and all the plug-in purchases were written off anyway, thankfully made more than enough to write off all the studio expenses and more. If you found any issues with your cracked DAWs, I salute you! I didn’t know what going wrong till I bought the real things. Best of luck and let us know the name of your studio! Would love to show support 🙏

      @@chrystianmanikowski8338 if you’re making that much cash running your studios, I’d be happy to make some content on how to balance the books, work the taxes and write offs and minimize if not eradicate tax expensive by end of term in order to get you fully purchase resources without spending any extra cash! Moreover, how to build relationships with plug-in companies to get stuff for free sometimes or even beta products that will never reach the market which can be really dope sometimes. Best of luck either way!

    Very noble but mostly nonsense.
    Avoid cracks because of malware and timebombs, it's the protection code that is mangled, not the functionalities.
    The update/drivers are also an issue with legal software once you stop subscribing or updating.
    Buying software doesn't equate to having to be a virtue signaling naive wimp. It does keep your studio legit but if your simp attitude is the hill you're willing to die on, plenty of manufacturers will have your arse, often, until you check out to go to heaven...
