When you were wiping after sanding between coats, were you still using denatured alcohol? Or did you only use denatured alcohol when originally cleaning before putting the primer on?

How long did you leave the stain on before wiping with a rag? Didn't look like much came off with the cloth

Not long at all. I should have left it on a little longer I think to get a more even stain.

I Am Working On A Big Bass Guitar Cabernet That Had an 18 inch Speaker And It Was Made By Peavey and I am Making into A Low Tune Sub Woofer and It's A Big Cabernet***
And I Plan To Put An Dayton Vortex 21 inch Sub Woofer Speaker But I Have To Save Up For The Speaker***
The Port Is A Slotted Port That I am Building That Goes Inside and I am Going To Test Run By Using an Old Peavey 18 inch Speaker and that's My Diy Build On This Speaker Cabernet***
