LOL - Tricks that plumbers hide from you? Really? I laughed at the block of wood instead of the 45 degree cut for the corner, but 'ya really lost me at supergluing razor blades to a knife rather than sharpening it.
It’s nice to get inspiration from videos, hopefully that happens with one of the next vids I watch. I guess learning what not to do is as good as inspiration sometimes
Guess I never learned that in the plumbers secret tricks college cause I never used any of these in over 40 years of plumbing and after watching this can't think why I would ever WANT to!!!
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from PSTC and was granted entrance into the Plumbers Secret Hall of Extra Secret Tricks where I also learned about making grinding discs out of cardboard and melting PVC pipes together using a torch made from cow dung and diesel fuel
that's right Because god created man and then he looked at man and it wasn't GOOD. Man wasn't missing woman, He was Missing a place to put his pencil so he did what any self respecting god would do, He got onto you God Tube and there was another God Tuber showing 15 HACKS FOR YOUR HUMANS and he saw one of them so.. he got out his drill and those ears that he picked up from Jaycar on special , 2 for a $1. He screwed them into either side of our heads so WE WOULD HAVE SOMEWHERE TO PUT OUR PENCIL or Cigar or whatever else, bubble Gum etc
even if you wanted the return feature for a pencil as shown, they sell those already made, and its cheaper than tearing apart a tape measure, finding the right length cord, and using a heat shrink wrap instead of elastic rubber that would accept new drawing devices once they wore out.
@@professorstokes6596 I'll come clean, this is all ya need to know to be a plumber. #1 Shit don't run uphill. #2 Payday is on Friday. Pipefitter don't have to know that much even though we're in the same Union. (Y'all know who you are) Somehow this simple principal was condensed into a four year course. Yep, some of the "tricks" are outright dangerous. Several would be outright illegal in any country that enforced its plumbing and electrical codes. Most of what was shown has nothing to do with plumbing.
I been a new construction plumber since Jr. High...Own a very successful business today.....One thing is for sure....if you don't know how to improvise you'll never make it as a plumber.
It is stunning the stability a simple magazine can give the sawing hand (1:59) The hand was dramatically wobbling all over the place without the magazine.
Grandpa always was a little "different," and when he started gluing razors to the kitchen knives, grandma ran as fast and as far as she could. He didn't miss her at all. "That woman wanted me to buy one of those fancy-pants utility knife thingies all the kids are using nowadays," he said. "There's no reforming someone who's that far gone."

6:54 if you don't want to ruin the mirror, take DENTAL FLOSS and two pieces of dowel rods as handles and just CUT the adhesive by working it back and forth with downward pressure.
Yea exactly, why didn't he use a picture hanger wire or like you suggested floss string to save the mirror. His grandfather didn't teach him correctly.
Love the Junction box trick! Several negative comments, but, like me, there are those that don't know a lot of the hacks so I really appreciate them. Thanks
There are very few of these you should pay any attention to. Some will get you hurt, others could get you killed. Anytime someone says they have a "hack", it's probably a bad idea. To be used only by hacks.
Where's the one with the pop rivet stuck into the WD40 nozzle? The hot knife isn't the same thing as the thumbnail. I was waiting to see him push that rivet into the can and watch that stuff blow all over the place.
What we know about this guy - he's hopeless at everything except tricking people into watching ridiculous videos. I have a feeling that phone scammers are switching to videos.
🤔Yeah ! - My Grandfather was dumbasfuck too ...If he wasn't fixing something he broke 😱 he was breaking somethin he couldn't fix 🤠 ...and he was a tight arsed bastard along with it - He wouldn't ever buy the right tools for a job and he'd save a penny anywhere he could 😖 - He was constantly coming up with all these same kinda useless and stupid ideas and he was forever making shite things for people who didn't ask for them or even want them when offered for fee 😕 ....BUT, THAT SAID - When he died he left almost a million quid between us four grandkids...so I can't really call him ! - CAN I ? 😫😢😩MISS YA POPS !.... YOU WERE THE GREATEST !.... LOVE YOOOOOO !... 🤣
Anyone following these "electrician tips" will have their home burning down in no time flat... and they can't do anything about it as they electrocuted themselves before the electrical fire started.
Some of these ideas are so impractical. I guess if you live in a 3rd world country and have limited options and lots of plastic garbage setting around, they may make sense.
Plumbers would hide these "secret tricks" out of embarrassment.
I was thinking the same thing. "Welcome to another episode of how to make it look like I learned my trade in a third world country"
plumbers dont want you to know that you can repair plastic sandals with super glue 🤫
Yeah, all the plumbers I have had working on my house work wearing plastic sandals. 😂
😄
I heard this guy had to go into hiding because the plumber's union bosses put a bounty on his head. Good for them.
LOL - Tricks that plumbers hide from you? Really? I laughed at the block of wood instead of the 45 degree cut for the corner, but 'ya really lost me at supergluing razor blades to a knife rather than sharpening it.
there's the reason why plumbers hide these "tricks" from you. ;D

did you actually use and wear the shower sandals #18 after the demo. how long did it last. any particular brand of superglue. thanks
Did you ever get a reply on the glue brand?
Plumbers learn this at the Plumbers Secret Tricks College during their apprenticeship. It's very important to hide this crap.

A few very good ideas here. Mostly useless and silly. Thanks for the few good ones.
You lost me after the hack at 1:26. God gave me ears as somewhere to keep my pencil. 😎👍
Why do it that way when you can destroy a perfectly good tape measure?

And yet you guys hide this stuff from us! 🤣

What a great idea at #11 to use that improvised "T" to cover those uninsulated connections. That's some smart brains right there, yeseree!
Yep, some of the "tricks" are outright dangerous. Several would be outright illegal in any country that enforced its plumbing and electrical codes. Most of what was shown has nothing to do with plumbing.
That's how plumbers hide their electrical tricks from non-plumbers.
Makes sense now, why they will make you rip out drywall if you call for inspection after the fact.

at 0:44 did he seriously glue utility knife blades onto a knife because it wouldn't cut. SHARPEN THE KNIFE !!!🙄

I don't understand what most of these are doing.
Me too, even though I am a mechanic.

Shit. And that was my favorite one.
none of these things are anything that any plumber would use or hide from you
Well that is 8:35 that I will never get back
