    The weapon balance of this game also needs serious work as smgs have not been viable outside of redacted due to how strong ARs are, and vault weapons have been mistreated and need more varied attachments to their 2042 counterparts,

      hard agree not being able to put high power or armor piercers on my vault LMG's is honestly really sad i feel like im forced to use the modern ones anywhere other than redacted

      I find the only decent SMGs in most matches are the ones which can perform okay at medium ranges, the PP and the PBX. I think ARs being the best weapon has always been a problem in BF games.
      I agree about the portal weapons! I was begging for some AP underbarrel attachments for the portal LMGs but unfortunately DICE gave us nothing :/

      @@marzipandan767Underbarrel attachments for LMGs are also key, since the Engineer class is so underpowered when it comes to taking out armor.
      Barely being able to take out a tank with the RPGs carried is bad, especially when compared with what MacKay and Sundance can do with C5. And even more when you compare the time it take to do so.
      So as an antitank engineer, you basically need your antitank grenade, as well as underbarrel grenades (of which you don't get "many" ...)

    Ballistic shield should be nerfed. A slower animation of putting it away so when you're being chased by a player using it, you have a better chance to turn around and run away. Players easily swap it out for a weapon and shoot you down before you can do anything.
    Maybe even a health bar for the shield? Give it like 2.5x the health a player does or maybe even 3x.

      It is weird that it doesn't have a health bar or anything. Also, it is stronger than the knife, which is just crazy to me. It definitely shouldn't be able to take infinite damage like it currently can.

      @@marzipandan767 I think the balancing it needs is to two-shot melee kill. And the knife/other standard-issue melee weapons should be a one-shot or at least 80% damage considering the throwing knife is an automatic one-shot and is far easier to land a hit with. Having a stamina bar would make it far too annoying to use.

    I agree with all of these changes. And being primarily a Sundance player who strictly uses C5 and spams med-pens it'd change the way I play quite a lot. As much as I love playing Sundance, the assault class is a very selfish class and doesn't fit the Battlefield identity of teamwork.

    I agree with pretty much all these. One I don't is the reduced vehicle damage in spawn, you can't be reducing damage unless the stationary AA guns exist, because air vehicles are allowed to fly over and ruin people in enemy spawns in this game

      I agree damage shouldn't be reduced, but the time you can stay in your spawn zone as a vehicle is. They've already clipped the wings of the TOR and honestly a Wildcat in spawn, especially on the larger maps, is a wasted vehicle. Force players into the game :)

      I agree, it would also make it hard to leave spawn if the enemy team has captured all flags. I think one solution could be that you would get no points/xp nor vehicle/weapon progression for kills and assists done while inside your own spawn area. That would not change the balance in any way, but still remove any incentive to stay in spawn for longer than necessary.

      Great point! I agree with what you are saying. I think a timer would be much more useful, it's much clearer and has much less space for abuse.

      Mmmm I never thought about full caps... that could be a problem too. They don't happen often but it is important to consider them. Maybe the timer could be removed in the cases of full caps? Great points here!

    Soflam was dead on. THE most fun teamwork interaction in BF4. They massively dicked it up in this game. I think, additionally to what you said, is that it should give a damage buff to those who shoot designated target. Vehicles can flare/smoke off designations…which one, makes absolutely no sense theoretically, and two, turns people off to shooting tagged targets. I dunno, it’s been a massive disappointment to me, and I don’t mind being the sniper who sits back and tags every known thing on the map, but I’m not going to do that if I’m not getting rewarded at all for it.

    Great list here I really agree on the soflam point, more destruction and the assault class rework. All of it is good though.
    I’d also like a return of operations or grand operations.
    More “party” modes in portal like maybe a nazi horde mode where massive numbers of 1942 nazis battle small modern American forces.

      I used to love playing Operations in BF1, but wasn't it the same as Breakthrough? With the only difference being if you lost you go another go at it but with an attack blimp, a train or a destroyer?

      So yes in the case of BF1 that is true. I guess what I was thinking was closer to BF V where each sector can have a different objective game type. And there are 2 different maps per game. I don’t know if you ever played Wolfenstein Enemy Territory but that game did this so amazingly well.

    2 things.
    Persistent servers and squads like mentioned in portal or even in the regular game would change so much. A lot of the team play is missing because so many play solo and never get a groove. Even when a squad clicks, they are gone the next round.
    I think we were squaded up a day or two ago, then this popped into my TH-cam.

    Def agree with what you said on map balance. I think a lot of the reworked maps could use slight adjustments to flag positions to make maps flow better. A on orbital could be moved to the ground level, A2 on breakaway could be moved to the large warehouse instead of the open gas tanks, etc.

      I liked what he said about having only 1 point per sector. The two sector plan isn't intuitive to me, and I think it ruins the flow of the game.

      Breakaway's 128 is especially bad. The E sector is almost never attacked because it is such a pain to get there, being high up on the iceshelf. A on the otherhand, is easy for both teams to get to.
      Orbital A is as you said also a big problem in both the 128 and the 64 versions :/
      Alternatively, they could make this building/terrain not so high, so the advantage is much less significant.
      It's probably not going to happen in old 2042 maps, but in future games and maps, I think it is critically important.

      ​@@marzipandan767 yeah for sure E sector on breakaway is tough to get to as ru side. There is a route you can run beyond the D flag that lets you go around the glacier and get behind E1 but it's seldom used.

    I’d also like to bring up that C5 is especially strong with Mackay and Sundance because they can close the distance faster than any other specialist, which is a problem worth highlighting, perosonally id either restrict or remove c5 from assault and give them another gadget to compensate.
    I’m fine with assault being the solo type class since you do have to refill every so often anyways

      Are you suggesting something like an anti-infantry based C5 equivalent?
      Ammo crates make or break Engineers. As soon as you are out of rockets you are unable to do your job properly, meaning that you need to hunt down a support, hope that they have ammo crates equipped and then also hope that they understand that they need to give you that ammo xD It's the true real BF fight. I just want assaults to help out the team in some way.

    Great vid and HNY -- the only thing I think I would add is about C5. If you want to nerf it & hold to the points you've made, you also have to nerf the AT Mines / ability to throw them. Placement only. I would also have C5 strong enough to kill a tank from the rear & top armour or underneath, preserving a 'weak spot' players could go for (and Sundance to land on). I'd only spare them one-hit from the front & sides. In any case as I have learnt recently, Lis tap followed by an AT Mine throw is more powerful than C5. Difference is only Lis can do it, so you encounter it less. Alternatively, you could give the tanks electric smoke countermeasures to catch out ppl running at you. Works for the CAV, though obviously not 100%. Saved me enough times though.

    IMO, assault should get the faster, more limited support gadgets. The ammo and med pouches. I’d replace the med pen with a revive pen, so they get like 5 revives that can be replenished by a med crate.

      The ammo pouch is a bad item in my opinion, since it only replenishes bullets for your primary and secondary. You almost never run out of bullets in this game since killed enemies drop a few rounds. The reason ammo crates are so critical is they replenish rockets which is vital so that engineers can keep doing their job. Crates also replenish grenades and class gadgets.
      I'm fine with them getting something that supports the team, med pouches would be fine, a revive pen would be fine too. The reason I am so for ammo crates is there are so few players using them already and not having access to them makes engineers strictly worse.

    One change I’d add is spawn protection from enemy air vehicles like how it was in BF4. I hate being spawn camped by enemy helis over and over

      I agree. It should be marked clearly on the pilots map so that it is obvious, but it would make things more fair.

    Another change I would like. Leave my choice of fire rate on the pistol to what I had it on the last time. Every game I have to switch the G57 from single fire.

    I agree with all these points except I think the assault class should all just have armor plates as their gadget since it’s already in the game and would make them a bit more unique and meant to be played in the frontline captures but then relies on support class for their heals instead of their med pen.

      My main issue is that their class gadget doesn't benefit the team, so the class is kind of the 'selfish' class. I would give them something that can be used to help the team, which is why I suggested ammo crates.

      @@marzipandan767 my video is coming up to be like 40 min long and the first segment is adding more maps just for shits and giggles but I went more of the route of making new maps with already existing assets or just bringing in old POIs back into the game as standalone maps.     One more to add is allow the playability of the AI soldiers, so we can be regular grunts in a war.
    While playing as these grunts, the specialist gadget slot is swapped out for a regular one that allows you to choose what gadget you want. Ofcourse, this will need balancing though.

      I'm hoping no specialist in the next game. Only regular grunts like the older BF games. I kind of doubt that they will do this though... EA loves money and without specialists they won't be able find a new way to monetize the game :/ (They aren't very creative)

    2:32 I miss the radar station at E1. It should've been more equidistant between the US and RU mains.

      The problem was that it wasn't a fun point to attack. The zip lines up to it actually look minutes to reach to reach the top of and that's not to consider if you were sniped while you were on it. It was a spectacle first point rather than a gameplay first point :/

      @@marzipandan767 It wasn’t fun attacking via zipline but if there was a competent Condor or Super Hind pilot they could drop off troops to attack it without the troops being sitting ducks. The capture point should have been closer to the RU side to prevent it being a lopsided point of possession.
      But that’s just how I feel about it..

    There needs to be a scoreboard counter for vehicles destroyed. Playing as engineer feels incredibly unrewarding when I’m constant being driven away from by my teammates’ vehicles I’m trying to repair and putting myself in massive danger to take out enemy vehicles only to get zero points because vehicle kill assists have an extremely short window. I think that it would not make sense to nerf C5 unless the engineer class got better tools to deal with vehicles.
    Additionally, I’m so tired of every map feeling like it was designed so every ledge was a few inches too high to vault over. It seems like a way to artificially inflate the usefulness of Mackay and Sundance by making every other specialist just horrible at movement.

      I definitely agree that vehicles destroyed should be reflected on the scoreboard! Especially since the act of destroying vehicles can have such a significant effect on the outcome of a match. I've been running the RPG and AT grenades with Crawford, and I've been having a pretty successful go at it.
      I agree here too. Mackay, especially, can completely dominate on some maps like Manifest since he can get places no one else can without vehicles.

    I think there are some changes that could be made to the Portal game, particularly in regards to player management. I would love to see a persistent server , but currently after only 2-3 rounds, the server becomes unbalanced and there is no way to balance it by moving players around. It seems like an easy fix and would breathe a lot of new life into the game. I also believe it would make hosting events a lot easier.

    1. Flags. I enjoy the nuance where 2-flag zones feel different from 1-flag zones (one is a full 2-point swing in your team's favor, the other will first break the enemy point but you'll need both flags to get your own point). So I'm sort of against a change here, with the exception that sometimes 2-flag zones are _really spread out,_ and I'd be okay splitting them into their own zones. You know like the space shuttle map where B1 and B2 (the hangars on two sides of the shuttle tarmac) are quite distant from each other; I'd be okay with splitting that into it's own letter.
    2. BC2 anti-tank? Yes, it's meaningfully distinct, and proven to be fun in earlier games.
    3. C5. I actually don't mind its current balance, with the exception of paradroppers (especially Sundance). In the majority of situations I can simply manage my risks by positioning well, managing sightlines, managing _movement speed,_ etc. But with paradroppers there really isn't a protection against it and that's frustrating (and honestly might get worse over time as more players wise up to it).
    My main reason not wanting much of a change here is how dominant (ground) vehicles are over infantry. In the right hands they're just brutal, but if someone sneaks into "melee" range against me I'm fine with them doing tons of damage. (In fact if anything I think stuff like the EOD bot and welding tool should do slightly better damage.)
    5. Yeah 100% agree with Tagging needing help.
    * give at least 1 point for Friendly Lockon Assist (a friendly just _locking on_ to a target you've lazed), then some points for a hit, and leave the kill points as-is. (All of this is more about the feedback that you're actually helping, rather than making a ton of points)
    * perhaps improve tag-retention
    * tagging dart should fire farther and last very long
    6. Yes. Every single spawn in the game needs a bit of hard cover to it, it's honestly ridiculous that this isn't already the case. (That said, the game has dramatically improved since launch.)
    In addition to cover, the spawn system itself should be a little smarter at avoiding where enemies are (and that may mean it needs more 'spawn point nodes' to choose from, so it can always pick something distant).

      @@Darknova591 I don't really feel that way. Consistently I get solid performance out of the heavy ground vehicles (MBT/Wildcat/TOR). Last time I roundstarted MBT I ended up surviving til the end 54-0 with a 44-0 gunner, leading a winning team to victory.
      That doesn't always happen, but I find the biggest threats are air rather than ground targets (and that's as it should be, because air in turn has its own set of counters). Without a skilled pilot pressuring me in A-Helo or Jet, most of the mistakes feel like my own (running into TOR killing field; not staying mobile enough in a sustained engagement against infantry; rushing up into cover too quickly in any fight), and if I avoid those mistakes I end up getting a ton of value from the vehicle (to the point where it's frustrating, when I'm not in a tank, to watch others just suicide these valuable weapons into the enemy).
      As for the RAM? I get less value from that but have seen plenty of others maximize its strengths so I suspect it's fine. It's not like I instantly die with the thing, I just don't seem to do quite as well with its weapons. Also I think RAM is way more weighted to your secondary gunner's skill than MBT/TOR, where if you have a pro with that nade launcher he's going to be an absolute terror. (Granted this reveals some of the issues with vehicles where not all of the secondary weapons are worthwhile. That nade launcher is so good relative to most other choices of that tier that you'd be crazy not to take it. I feel they could work on balance with a lot of the gunner weapons that still feel underwhelming, like the volley pods.)

    The C5 shouldn’t be nerfed. Coming from BF3 and BF4 3 C4 is what you needed in the past to destroy a tank and it did fine and the balance is wonderful because it’s already risky to approach a tank or some of the more mobile vehicles

      I see what you are saying about the past BF games but consider these points:
      - The C4 in those games couldn't be thrown as far (and I think as fast as in 2042?).
      - Those games had less movement options which meant that running up and detonating vehicles was much harder.
      - Comparatively, C4 wasn't the immediately best option against vehicles, since the engineers came with many more rockets and were able to solo vehicles, so while C4/5 stayed the same strength throughout the series launchers were significantly nerfed.
      - The turn speed of the turrets in those games was instant, allowing you to react much faster to infantry running at you.
      Another way to look at it, is how often does your vehicle die to C5 in 2042 compared to in BF3 or 4?
      It's fine if you disagree, this is just how I feel about things. I appreciate you commenting :)

      @@marzipandan767 no I completely agree on these point actually, I think friendly discussion is welcome! I do agree, the launchers were far superior and would allow players to solo. No to mention the movement differing between the games the C4 was always second choice over the launchers. I also agree I think you can chuck the C5 way too far it even makes using it against infantry to clear halls and hard points very easy or hard depending on which side of the chucked C5 you are on lmao. I just thought to myself I came from these older games but without diving further into reflecting on this topic as I was watching the rest of the video I failed to realized some of the key things you’ve listed here for me

    OBs, C4, Stat turret, SOFLAM 10 excellent suggestions. The duel versus single objectives, the ease of C4 tank kills, the lack of ground turrets to defend against air and ground vehicles (particularly air vehicles) and the selfish idiots who tank camp because they just want to hog a tank the whole match have bothered me since the go -live of the game. The go-live was so restrictive and bullshit, I have railed against it and hope I was able to help to get things added back that BF always had. One thing they pseudo restored was VOIP for squad communications. Sometimes it works. Usually it doesn't. People don't use it as a result or sometimes players intentionally leave their mike open trash talking, breathing, coughing and playing obnoxious music so you have to mute them. Also the SOFLAM only stays active for for about 10 seconds not giving a rocket armed ground or air player time to acquire , aim and fire. So it is not very effective or fun to play for anyone.

      I have VOIP problems all of the time. I can never tell what audio input and output 2042 is using. When it says default, it normally doesn't match my system default. It's so frustrating because it's inconsistent, I never end up using it, and imagine it is the same for others.
      It doesn't help that the game released without it... a terrible decision imo

    I would love to see it where if you tag someone that you are going to revive you can see the marker that they can drop to mark the enemy, I die way too much trying to revive someone witha enemy that is hiding right around the corner that they can't tell me about.

      This would be good, especially since you can ping to your squad members already. Though I will say the pinging is inconsistent, sometimes my squadmates cannot see my pings.

    6:12 Crawford now has a new Specialist Trait called Deep Pockets which provides an extra rocket to shoulder-fired launchers

      And 14:03 SPH has also been changed:
      • Reduced magazine capacity to 1.
      • Reduced maximum amount of shells carried from 4 to 2.
      • Added a movement speed penalty when aiming down sight from 1x to 0.6x.

      You are correct, I was illuding to the fact that you can always carry one more rocket than you spawn with for the M5 and the RPG. So if you are playing Boris you start with 3 M5 rounds but can carry 4, so if you find an ammo crate you will have more to work with. These numbers are +1 for Crawford, as you said due to his perk.
      My recommended change here is that is you spawn with 2 C5 which is not enough to solo a vehicle (except from the rear), but you can find another C5 on an ammo crate to have your usual 3.

      You are correct, my main point was that they only have 1 round at spawn, so if they want to have their 2 rounds, they have to drop an ammo crate. Hence there will be more ammo on the battlefield :)

    This was an awesome video highlighting some issues that most people don’t talk about, but one thing I will say is that the last thing 2042 needs is more AA. I know that there are a lot of TH-camrs/streamers who go on insane kill streaks with helis and jets but the thing that most people don’t realise is just how much skill is needed to play like that, and that’s why so many people complain about air vehicles being overpowered. My experience of using air vehicles is that you fly around for a few seconds until something locks onto you at which point you’re forced to pop flares and fly outside of the map until they recharge because the second they end another missile will lock onto you. Seeing as they’re reworking lis to be more ground focused I agree with adding the wire guided missile but having stationary AA weapons could be too much and make air vehicles unplayable for most people.
    Edit: another point I’d like to make is that you can fix vehicle spawn camping by introducing limited vehicle ammo like bfv, and just put vehicle ammo stations around the map but NOT in the spawns. This means you don’t have to add reduced damage or an out of bounds area which could be confusing to some players but vehicles still need to move around the map after using their ammo. An out of bounds or reduced ammo system would ultimately lead to campers just staying 1m outside of their spawn which isn’t a whole lot better

      My issue with ammo pouches is that they are useless :/ 99% of the time you will have enough bullets in this game since enemies drop ammo packs when they die, ammo crates on the other hand give back equipment, class equipment and throwable ammo, which is critical for everyone especially engineers in order to let them do their job.
      I'm fine with the support also keeping the ammo crates too as an equipment choice, but honestly DICE could just remove the ammo pouches and nothing of value will be lost.
      Noted on the portal server, I'll maybe consider setting something up at some point. Do a little test to see if portal is possible.

    completely agree with every point and id like to add that it needs a ton of other quality of life changes for the gameplay for example: why do we only have a 1 static backstab animation that takes you into third person
    battlefield 4 had multiple stab animations that all stayed in first person yet here if someone is on the floor you jarringly phase them to standing position to hit them with the one and only stab animation
    why is there no "hey you stabbed this guy while he was on the floor" stab animation
    and also liz rockets are still broken i cant tell you how many times if had a rocket go right through a massive transport helo on what should have been a dead center hull shot its insanely tilting
    for the first time a battlefield title feels SMALLER and with less features than the previous tittle which is honestly embarrasing I still give them points for fixing the game the unplayable pile of shit that was this during beta is miles below the current state of the game but nonetheless the cracks are showing and i feel like in 2 years they should have done more than they currently have
    also for the love of christ i know they wont do it because they NEED to force it on us but honorable mention:
    Stop shoving battlepasses down our throats
    this is battlefield not cod or destiny
    i dont want weapon cosmetics or skins
    i want gameplay and weapons
    if i want my operator to look MLG EPIC SO COOL ill go to cod or d2 bro like cmon...

    It may sound stupid but in my opinion BF3 is simply how battlefield should be. It was in my eyes the best bf experience ever and the popularity and player numbers show it. There are still full 64 player servers over 10 years after the release.
    The move to more chaos gameplay and RNG reliance has hurt bf more than anything.

      It was a great game, I completely agree. I loved the maps and destruction possible. Grand Bazaar grenade launching the walls and watching the rubble smoosh enemy players was great!

      @@marzipandan767 Yes, although the reason for why I love it so much was the fact that it had very very little RNG in vehicle comabt. Jets were pretty much pure skill, the better player almost always won in the air and in ground battles.
      Infantry combat was great but there were a lot of things where BF4 improved for example, although I didn't like the feeling of BF4s gunplay I think it was technically superior.

    So on board with pretty much everything here , I also think a reworking of spawns is needed , ive completely lost count of the times ive spawned and withing a split second im on a grain of health or ive been killed. I also cannot believe sometimes when I spawn on a flag im actually spawned miles away from it. The other thing I feel needs looking at is the XP rewards, playing as some classes you are so easily rewarded lets say Paik for example , where as if you play as say MacKay its very hard to rack up XP. I also feel the netcode in this game is absolutely atrocious. So many times im dropping dead when im clearly round the corner in cover , ive even killed people when they are round corners i cover wondering how the hell I got a kill on them.

      Spawn points have been rough for a while. Hourglass is the absolute worst for it, in my opinion. Straight up being spawned out in the open right in front of an enemy tank. When it spawns you far away, it is typically because an enemy is on or close to the flag. Though sometimes they are just bad spawns, like putting you on top of E2 when you spawned on E1 on the 64p CQ of Kalidoscope.
      I agree, better servers would make the game much better. This happens all too often.

    One thing that really bothers me currently is DICE's current way of adding new weapons via the battlepass... So they want to make people buy the BP, and hence overtuning the new weapons so that they become op af. They did this with the RM68, now with the VHX. By gut feeling, I would still (after the "nerf") say, that ~30-40% of the AR kills in the game are VHX kills. And I think this is quite noticeable also for the other categories: see, e.g., the G428. So they added a new DMR, and to promote it, they overtuned the whole DMR category (those 2 shot kills are / were insane).
    So please, DICE, remember: A weapon that easily becomes the most-played weapon in a game is NOT a good weapon. You had a very good balance in BF4, so why don't continue they. Do not go the Riot Games way of releasing new shit :)

      It does seem like the battlepass weapons always come out a little too strong, I would agree to this change. You are right there shouldn't be one 'best weapon' but weapons which feel good to specific people.

    i agree that the assault class should have a ammo crate as long as support doesnt lose it, even if they only got ammo pouches it would still be good because the amount of times i run out of ammo and nobody drops ammo is crazy (big reason why i now play support and actually play as support)

    Glad that your first idea is also mine. Eliminate the sectors from Conquest entirely.
    Remove pinging while downed. Good lord that feature is one of the most rotten in game.
    Fix the sights. Bright the fusion holo where its supposed to be, in front of your eye, like in BF4, how they did to the Kobra sight in season 4. Clean up all the sights with vignette and the sights that got silent nerfed with mud like the 2x on the deagle or crossbow. Insane.
    Balance vehicles in Breakthrough. That mode is fucking trash.
    Stranded Conquest, remove the entire top of the ship from the boundaries. That map design is pure cancer.
    Remove FLAK from transport vehicles for the final time.
    As for classes.. if we're gonna go this route, remove the defibrillators from Falck, Irish, and Angel, and give them to the assaults. Remove med pens from the game and give assaults med bags and pouches that can be shared with supports. Give the supports a reworked Angel crate that can be placed indoors, and rework Angel.
    Given the terrible specialist abilities mixed into classes, the game would benefit far more from assaults being the medics. Mackay and Sundance have access to downed players the current medics do not. This allows their abilities to be used for the team. Dozer has his shield to clear the front lines before reviving. Zain is his own medic and can eat a shitload of bullets while clearing a room to heal others. Falck receives a slight nerf to how much XP she can farm and given a new passive, Irish is mostly unchanged, and Angel gets the rework he already deserves.
    Btw a little beside the point, but RU and US switch spawns on Spearhead based on the player count. 128, teams get the same spawns as in Breakthrough. In 64 it's reversed. So that E1 is technically a problem for both teams, based on which CQ mode is played.

      As long as they give assault some team play ability, I would be happy. Right now, I just see these players as kind of selfish solo players.
      RE: Spearhead. I didn't realize the spawn locations change. Either way, the E1 imbalance is a big issue. I hate playing on E because I find myself needing to do it so often since E1 is constantly being back capped.

    The non destructable buildings is what I miss the most + the fact we have no bomber plane.
    Its a shame when you compare it to BFV. BFV looks and plays so much better, even the music is 10x better.
    We dont need so many specialists, just 4 roles and thats fine.
    Also biggest problem is the fact one cant solo a tank. How many times have i witnessed a tank that dominated and noone except of me using launchers to get rid of it, its impossible to fight it.

      Destruction was such a key part of the franchise; it is sorely missed in 2042 :/
      The music in this game is the WORST. I think I can count on one hand the number of games I've actually had to mute the music because of how terrible it is and I would have never thought 2042 would have been one of them. The Battlefield theme is a classic gaming song, it is so sad how they butchered it...
      You can solo tanks, it's just much more difficult than previous BF games. Take Crawford with the RPG, AT grenades and if you need more medium range damage the AP underbarrel grenade launcher attachment which comes with the SFAR, AK, SVK or the LCMG. You need to account for the fact that they are going to try and run so you need to be close enough so that they can't easily get away but keep to cover so you aren't eliminated before you can finish the job. Always aim your RPG for the turret or the side instead of the front armour. I typically go 2 RPGs (~70 damage with top/side damage), at this point they'll start to run, or pop APS, chase them, while sticking to cover, either reload your RPG with your third round, throw your AT grenade, or pull out your AP Underbarrel, wait until that green light on top turns red then throw everything you have at them to finish them off. It should take 1 more RPG, 2 AP Underbarrels, OR 1 AT and 1 AP underbarrel. You can also hop on your deployable turret if you can see that they only have a few points of health left and that will be enough to take them out.

    iv never been a battlefield kinda guy.. always been into cod for its fast gameplay..., but it was free on ps5 so i started playing it ( i played 2 hrs at launch then returned it). then i smoked and got really into it, had a deferent mindset this time around.. ended up buying it on pc. been doing alot of bot games to lvl guns and enjoying em.. nice not getting instally killed by a lmg across the map lol. just started getting into portal games. im a battlefield guy now.. shit can be intense on mushrooms or smoking lmao... tbh i forgot what this post was gonna be and rambled

    Considering how overpowered all vehicles are, C5 is as it should be (kinda, detonation is sometimes so laggy) and how random squads are rarely team players - the C5 should get a fix on detonation while going into prone. It's not that easy to sneak up on a tank with all those "enhancements" this game is providing. As for other changes you proposed - agree, I just don't think they are able to do some of them due to this game being a Frostbite based 45Hz servers downgrade of a Battlefield franchise.

      Fair. I don't expect everyone to agree to these suggestions. Sometimes when you have a full squad backing up an MBT, it can see completely indestructible. I would still think that giving it to fewer classes would be preferrable.
      Maybe in the next game then... I hope it releases in a better state than 2042.

    Players are "dumber" in this game. It's most likely due to the design of the maps and specialists, not that new people who don't understand Battlefield games. Frustrating teammates is nothing new but now especially you're not getting revives, ammo, heal. Players don't look at minimap or chat. It's almost just a solo game and my massively increased K/D to all other Battlefield games shows how quality of game intelligence has gone down.
    Portal could have been the most amazing thing, instead of a horde of lame hardcore and XP farm servers. Dice gave no community support, even worse than ever before.

      I would say that I think the UI is a big issue when it comes to conveying what teammates need. For us BF veterans its clear when we see that Ammo logo over someone's head what they need, but for new players, maybe it isn't so clear. BF needs new players in order to keep the game relevant, but we just need to make sure that these players are shown how to play properly.
      Portal is so disappointing; I'll occasionally look for servers to play and searching through all of that mess is a nightmare :/

    I would also suggest an Angel's rework. There is no point picking him over Falck or in any situation (she heals faster, multiple people at once, her stim has way more range than the standard health pack and her ammo bag replenishes grenades, unlike Angel's special gadget).
    To make him more viable, I think they should do the following:
    -Increase his gadget's ammo packs from 3 to 5
    -Faster ammo pack regeneration, (I don't know the exact time, but reduce it 3/4 seconds)
    -Decrease landing time of his supply crate since it takes forever to land, (I think it should be almost instant to make it viable, 5 seconds at max)
    -Decrease resupply cooldown to 15 seconds, (once the crate has landed and you press E it takes about 20/30 seconds to do it again)
    -For 2 small ammo packs used you get 1 grenade, since the only way to get them is with the big crate. (Falk can get one every 15/20 secs with her big ammo bag)
    -He should also have the ability to call for 2 supply crates instead of 1, just like Irish's SAMs or shields.
    -Increase the range of his supply beacon placement by 15 meters, to properly drop it on a strategic location
    With these changes I think Angel would be a way more interesting choice on any open map where he can call his crates, and it would also stop the Falck's meta

      Angel's loadout instantly replenishes all ammo/rockets/grenades. If you used all 4 RPGs on Crawford, it would take a minute to replenish them all with a standard ammo crate but instantly with Angel. It's just that 90% of players don't know it exists or don't know how to use it.
      There's not many situations you'd pick him over Falck, but coordinated squad play while vehicle busting is one where you should.

If the tank moves while the crate is dropping or you're in a closed area you lost the chance of killing it, that's why I personally think they should implement a couple of the mentioned upgrades, if not all of them (specially the drop speed)

I play with a consistent group with comms so I don't have those issues but yeah randoms don't seem to use it very often. If I see an Angel and need rockets I beg them for a loadout with maybe a 10% success rate of them actually dropping one.

    There is no teamplay in this game. You play on a team, but there is no way to effectively co-ordinate. This is a Lone Wolf shooter, you can literally watch the "hive mind" mentality of players as they swarm 15-20-30 players deep into an objective and being completely oblivious to the fact that every point behind them has been capped. Everyone always preaches this "Teamplay" experience but also forgets that console players type out 3 words a minute on controller (I'm PC). Plus, you can chase players for 100's of meters spamming "Request Ammo", jump up and down in front of them, knife them etc. You will die before you replenish any anti-vehicle ammo. Which is why when i'm out, I just redeploy. Blueberries is all that needs to be said. You cannot only give RECON c5...why on earth would we give the long distance camp class an equipment to destroy vehicles pushing objectives. Also, Everything in the game has a counter, except EMP grenades (even counters c5 detonator) there is nothing that stops EMP grenades. Ammo on assault would work, but realistically you die before you actually run out. Unless they're a terrible shot. Every person that dies (including teammates) drops like 25 ammo....just run over their bodies. I find myself solo capping multiple times every game. Squadmates are absolutely smooth brained to spawn on you even when speaking in chat or typing to squadmates in chat. As a top 1% player and as a top 0.01% OBJ captures and OBJ defended this is my biggest gripe (coincides with teamplay).The game has too many campers that can laser beam anyone from 150+ meters with even SMG's. Forcing everyone to slow down or just not move at all. Even with all of that, this is still my favorite Battlefield. I said what I said, fight me. Anyways always looking for competent players add CBF-Taxes

      I'd also add that the more simplistic/downright non-existent recoil mechanics in 2042 and the unlimited tac sprint/bumslide really encourages the run and gun lone wolf mentality in infantry players. Being able to laser beam people while moving was something rarely seen in older titles.

      this is my biggest problem, the gunplay in this game is insane in some maps. Im getting picked off by players that feel miles away from smaller arm weapons. Being sniped is fine, of course thats the point of a sniper. but a lot of these maps have LONG open spaces you have to run through, and im just an open target for some players as they can see me easily from that distance, kill me before i even get close to a push onto an objective. The other issue is the amount of spotting in this game. Personally, spotting should ONLY work for your squadmates and recon. Boris turrets are being used a lot more lately as just long distance auto spotters for the team

      I would argue that Recon class is one of the best up close classes, since they have access to the spawn beacon, which if placed hidden close to an objective can complete turn the tide of games. We can limit C5 to any one class, it doesn't have to be recon, and I think that would be a suitable fix. The problem currently is almost every class is using it because it is so dominant at dealing with vehicles.
      I completely agree that bullet ammo never need to really be replenished, which is why the ammo pouches are useless, however grenades, gadgets and class gadgets are very important to replenish especially in the case of Engineers who need rockets in order to do half of their role, hence the need for more ammo crates. I am sure you would agree it would be nice if every time you ran out of ammo your solution wasn't to hit ESC and click redeploy, that seems like something that shouldn't have to be anyone's solution. Having dedicated ammo crates held by Assault players would mean there is much more ammo on the battlefield hence making it more likely you as an Engineer can keep doing what you are doing!
      I do agree that they should make the UI do more work to convey when teammates need things. There should be directional pointers on the screen of support players pointing to players who request ammo. Or on Engineers screens indicating damaged vehicles. Put in everything that screams "You should be doing this for your team"

      I don't really mind the weapon types being global. If they were going to do this, I would want a BF4 version where there are some good weapons that everyone can use, for example, the carbines. For example, I don't like playing with snipers too much, but I like the recon class.
      I think what we have now is that all classes feel a little more balanced since their equipment and specialist abilities are all that makes them different. For example, if Dice restricted assault rifles to assault class, you'd likely see a lot of players only play assualt since ARs are the best weapons in the game.

    Good vid agreed with most of it. I don’t agree with people saying there aren’t enough ways to deal with choppers. Instead of adding something like the SRAW into the sandbox, they hopefully will change Lis’ gadget so it functions as an SRAW instead of a player held tv missile that replenishes with no ammo box.

    A gadget that they added and i think most players forgot about are the ammo and health pouches they added in the current season, When i saw them in the trailers i was like "Oh thats awesome! I would love to see them for all the classes or at least assault class" and then i was disappointed seeing they are only limited to support class, They have so much potential because when ever i play as assault a huge problem i have is the lack of ammo crates let alone playing as a flanker then discovering that i dont have enough ammo to continue.

      The med pouches are fine, but the ammo pouches are practically useless. They only replenish bullets which 90% of the time you won't ever run out, you either die before you do, or you keep yourself sustained by picking up those little ammo packs that dead enemies drop.

    Simple fix. Im on controler, stip auto selecting original spawn randomly after I die. I cant count the amount of times I've spammed respawn to get back on my teammates just to end up at tje begginig. Maddening 😡

      yeah this, theres too many times im waiting to spawn in a vehicles or something on the spot i want to spawn in at changes and the selected spawn changes to a random spawn point.

      This happens a lot on PC too, where multiple spawn points are on top of each other, it's crazy when you can't get the one you want. A list of all valid spawn points on the side of the screen is all we really need!

    Honestly as a late BF2042 adopter (because of all the clutter in menus/gun customization/confusion about classes vs specialists…) I still have no idea what portal is. I thought it was a single map. So I stick with conquest 64/128 because that’s BF2042 for me. I loved when they had old BF game maps on rotation, sadly they must have messed that up too because it kept playing 2042 maps 😂. This game has potential but the ridiculous damage numbers (low) are pretty annoying in addition to what you said!

      DICE definitely neglected it once they saw what a minority of the community does, ruining the progression with XP farms. A portal server would be ideal in fixing the 'This is the fifth time in a row I've played this map' and also you could remove maps that people don't enjoy from the rotation.
      You aren't a fan of the current kill time?

      Yeah definitely not a fan of how unrealistic shooting someone is. I’m a realism fan. I’m an OG COD2 realism. Two pistol shots would put someone down. One rifle shot to the body (not to mention the head, lol). It would change the game a LOT if they went this way. I have seen some realism servers in Portal since seeing your video and I’ve stayed away just because it would change what I’m used to now so much

      I agree! I do think that grenades are useless in this game because you cannot time them in this game. I rarely get kills or killed by them, except in those redacted hallway spams, probably because of this reason.

      I do think DICE could do much more to help the community develop. All chat should be turned on by default and they should encourage players to stay grouped up at the end of round. A button that says 'Squad up', something so simple would be great for meeting new people.

    Many good ideas here. Destruction or levolution would add so much to 2042. In sure they could do it if they wanted to. Make a identical destructible asset and replace the old one. Maybe it ain’t that easy. Also 2042 had performance issues. I would like to see more weather and ir night/day cycles. That would make each map feel different each round.
    In regards to portal it is a wasted opportunity. I do think those could’ve made it better, but to be honest, I am quite disappointed in the community and the content creators. Let’s just take redacted as an example. When they took it off the 24/7 rotation it was nowhere to be found in portal. It could’ve been easily created like any other map but instead the community complained and dice had to put it back in the main menu. Every time there’s an interesting mode in portal the lobbies are empty and you play with bots.

      When they first teased the game, destruction was a main feature. If you recall the skyscraper destruction they advertised where a whole corner of it fell away. Focusing on the tornado was a massive mistake in their part. Day and night time would have been a much more sound investment.
      Re Portal: I agree. It's a massive shame. It just needs more of a boost from DICE and the community.

      The problem is lock on missiles are useless against aircraft because flares are the perfect counter. What we could do is make it so soflammed missiles can require their lock if the soflam is held?
      Javelin can lock on to SOFLAMed or Tacerdarted targets. But the missiles are so slow. Flares could replenish before the hit happens.

    The Bipod should be actomaticly be desployed on Spawn. Idk why you have you reequip the bipod after every death.

    They need to nerf aa. I can’t stand killing one or two guys and the rest of the game they spam aa at my jet until I die. Aa shouldn’t outrange a jet they should be the exact same range. And they shouldn’t get 3 lock on rockets at spawn

      The stingers as a tool aren't very useful once you get the hang of countering them. You need to manage your flares and exploit cover, and with jets your ability to quickly get out of range. You should almost never be going in for an attack run without flares otherwise you are asking to be killed. Once you have popped them you have something like 8 seconds to get out of their range, which in the jet is quite easy. Hang around the outside of the map or fly high to prepare for your next run, as soon as your flares are close to recovered you can go back in for a run. You'll get into a rhythm of this quickly and you'll be completely immune to stingers. Even if you get hit by one of them because you mistimed, you'll only take 65 damage, so you won't be shot down.
      Sometimes the enemy with completely block a section of the map with lock on users and in those cases, just move somewhere else. As a frequent chopper pilot, I am pretty much never killed by locking AA missiles and as a recent jet pilot, I have quickly learned that your speed is your way of avoiding them here. I hope this helps.

      Which is stupid! If people want to level up their weapons the easy way, why should DICE care how people want to play their game :/ It's not personally how I would want to unlock things but if other players want to put themselves through that experience, then it is fine my me.

      The grapple I will agree with, but Lis's TGM is fine. As a frequent flier and vehicle user Lis missiles are something I have to keep an eye out for put can deal with.
      I think Dice did a good job making them very visually noticeable and more importantly unique sounding! You can shoot them down a lot of the time if you see them being launched and they can be dodged if you are in choppers or jets. They are quite weak against vehicles, only dealing 27 damage to big armour and if you hit a chopper or jet, you deserve the high damage/kill. In my opinion of course :)

      The current number of rockets is good, it should be hard to solo kill a tank as infantry, requiring you to nail all of your shots and avoid front armour. It is definitely doable but takes a lot of skill.
      Hitting a rocket off a heli or a jet is very hard, it should be rewarded with a 1 hit kill. As a frequent chopper pilot if I get hit with an M5 or RPG then it was either a really good shot or completely my fault and I always respect it. If I get hit with a Lissile, then that is because they bested me, I tried to dodge, and they anticipated and nailed me.
      Running and suiciding into a vehicle takes no real skill, you just throw them on and hit detonate as soon as you can :/

      @@marzipandan767 I don't have a problem being hit down with 1 RPG while i'm on heli. It's a pure skill or luck. or combined. Still, it happens really not that often, as it should be. But when you are down by 400+ meters flight by one Liz's rocket - it's not fun, especially when they folkin cut helis on lots of maps + respawn rate.
      C5. C'mon. You need all 3 to hit to blow it up. It takes time. Of course if you dealing with a dumbie without a gunner it would be easy. But take down a CAV or MAV witch is full loaded - its a pretty hard thing to do. I see no problems with c5 at all.

      It was pretty bad. I don't have faith in DICE to release a feature complete game anymore. They completely dropped the ball on 2042. The marketing was so manipulative, and it is clear that EA pushed them into chasing industry trends instead of encouraging them to make a good BF game. It's good now, but the next BF will probably start off just as bad.

    I been playing 2042 5 weeks straight and love the game but it's like it is stilllll in BATA.Spaning in between 10 rivals,getting shot through buildings,reloading so slow you die,the MASSIVE amount of PC CHEATERS,snipping not working,some weapons being WAY over powered and the list goes on and on.I still am heavily invested in 2042 but with the bugs and insane amount of CHEATERS I don't know how long I'll be playing anymore.So thx for you video but there is alot more then 10 changes that needs to take place ore 2042 won't see 3 more seasons.I hope changes is mad and the ones you mentioned in your upload is valid.have a good day.Good vid.👍

    Removing medpen from assault class is terrible decision and will ruin gameplay, it is anti-infantry class now with purpose of killing enemies, and killing enemies is what assault contributes to team, not dropping ammo bags for xbox Boris with numbers in ID going 5-20 with sniper riflle.

      How does the medpen help Assault kill enemies? Any class can do that.
      Dropping ammo crates for the only teammates who are helping you deal with vehicles is a massive help to your team, even if you don't see it directly.

      @@marzipandan767 So back to initial comment, it is purpose in game to kill enemies, anti-infantry class. How is it selfish to clear space(room, flag, mcom etc) so other players can get there and move on? No, i cannot? This game has specialists, Falck or other support classes cannot use grapple as Mckay(which an be used to get angles on enemies, escape, get to places there recons can place beacons they normally cannot, get momentum boost for double jump), do not have Mackay ADS strafe speed, cannot cover space as Sundance.
