Man, what a wonderful gaming experience you had. Might have to play more of these "dead" games if these are the kinds of people that can be found. Nowadays, I just play with the same group of friends and don't really interact with others besides being called various slurs and then attempting to make them ragequit.
The thing I find the saddest about boundary is the enormous efforts thrown into its development just for it being remembered as a dead game. When I played it, I noticed so many small details that just screamed that the game was developed with deep passion. The detail that I find the most mind boggling is the fact that empty mags start to abruptly flip its orientation when the player reloads its weapon. Since the game sets in space, there’s an actual existing phenomenon called the “Dzanibekov” effect, the essence of which is that an object with a shifted center of mass when spinning in microgravity starts to flip repeatedly from one side to another as it tries to find a more stable way to spin. The fact that developers actually added this small but actually a difficult in computer modeling detail, probably tells a lot about the amount of work and love putted into this game
People "Nah I don't wanna play that it's a dead game" "But the matchmaking works and you can find a match in less than 60s" "No I said it's dead" Unfortunately I know people this dumb.
Also about boundary, in 2008 FutureMark, maker of benchmark tools released a free to play fps in space where there was only one weapon, but with many functionality so it could work as a sniper, shotgun, assault riffle, so everyone was on par with each other.
