In the clone commando books Kal ends up taking in a Jedi named bardan jusik after bardan leaves the order during the clone wars and Kal adopts him as a son after order 66 went down

Yoda never revealed his species name or their homeworld, which means this baby has one of 3 origins: 1) It is Yodas child, 2) It is the child of another of his species, 3) It is a clone of Yoda.
I'm leaning toward the clone theory. It explains how the Client might have a previous relationship with it, how it might be chipped so that the Mando can track it and why the doctor with the Kamino insignia is interested in it.

I remember in the early 80's there was something written on Yoda and his species, but it disappeared. Obi Wan knew where they came from, they lived on average 800 years, and the planet they came from is somewhere on the Empires periphery is all I can remember. If someone has that book still let the rest of us know.

@@julianc5697 considering how scarce his species is I doubt it. He is 50 years old, that puts baby yodas birth at roughly a little bit before _The Phantom Menace_ . At the time the most well known species of yodas race were yoda himself and yaddle. It would stand to reason that palpatine had his people acquire the DNA of then _GrandMaster of The Jedi Order_ Yoda and take it to camino.
