One of my favourite moments in Star wars Rebels was when Kannan was training Sabeen to use the dark saber and another Madalorian gave her the anti-Jedi technology to use against him instead of learning proper lightsaber form.
Kannan basically bitch slapped her, destroyed the technology, and said "HISTORY LESSON the Madalorian's LOST the war with the Jedi"... She didn't rely on the technology again.
I never was a Star Wars fan but damn this Mandalorian series has me interested. Favreau has been on a different level ever since Ironman.

I think he means every weapon has its history such as why it was made, when it was made, how it was made, etc.
Now, the Darksaber is unique in that it has a normal history like any weapon but also historic history and value, so it certainly separates itself.

In legends: Boba survives the sarlacc pit, helps out Dengar, goes to Mandalore, helps them out so much he becomes an honorary mandalorian and becomes the new Mandalore. And then Disney happened.
@ZigZach in 19BBY Boba was hired to kill the Mandalore at the time Shysa. But shit happened and Shysa and Boba fought together against Sevvets. Shysa got injured and in dying request, asked Boba to 1)kill him, 2)Become Mandalore. So Boba Did both, he was the Mandalore that united other Mandalorian tribes together to fight Yuuzhan Vong's invasion.

They have since retconned Jango not being a Mandalorian to being raised by The Children Of The Watch which makes him a Mandalorian. I guess I’d say the same for Boba as he was raised by Jango
The line in the clone wars might now be read as he not being seen as a true Mandalorian by more conservative types
Lot of people seem angry about the 2 minute ad... Am I the only one who loves to see my favorite youtubers do a sponsored ad? or I even love clicking a video and having to watch a few youtube ads sprinkled throughout the video. Cuz that means that my favorite youtubers are earning money, hopefully enough to keep doing what they're doing, or even get better at what they're doing. And it also means that every time I watch a video, I'm directly supporting them, paying them technically. It's why I don't use adblock. Also, if you don't wana listen to his ad, skip it. very easy to do. No need to slam a guy whose just trying to make a living entertaining us.

Boba and Jango Fett are both mandalorians, hell both Boba and Jango respectively became mandalore at some point. Of course the new mandalorians would deny that he was actually a mandalorian, they are trying to start a new and having some if their people still act in the old ways would make people not believe you and your stance would seem less legitimate. It makes sense for them to deny that there are any "traditional" mandalorians.

Well... In legends being a mandalorian was not about blood or religion but about culture. If you followed their warrior culture then you where a mandalorian. So I think the denouncement of Jango where more opinion then fact.
George Lucas asked for that detail to be added in Clone Wars. Jango just stole the tech and armor
@@badabingbing474 Wrong. Death of the author. If it isn't showen within a comic, book or tv-show then all it was only a statment. Just like how J K Rowling adds detailes on her Harry Potter books all the time. Unless it is actually shown within the media then it is up for debate rather then concrete fact.
@@antonakesson they tell you in the show... that's Canon that jango wasn't a mandalorian. The writers worked with George Lucas throughout Clone Wars doing stories and he wanted it confirmed that jango was just a bounty Hunter with a mysterious past.
@@badabingbing474 No it is not. It was a throw away statment said bye a character that would have no idea if Jango was mandalorian or not. If you are saing he ain't a mandalorian because he isn't born on mandalore, then fine Almec could probably confirm that. But mandalorians aren't only born but made. Being a mandalorian is about culture and not birthplace. There is no way Almec would know what culture Jango was apart of. So it doesn't matter that the writers wrote in that line, it still isn't confirmation. Writers try to make there characters to be as real as entertainingly possible and real people can be wrong. It is a statment that can be true, or not, and not confirmation.

If you want to understand some references you'd have to see the movies and the CGI shows such as The Clone Wars and Rebels. But you don't need to see anything else to understand it

Yep, even the mandalorians would say Revan was the only one who could beat them, and they respect him for it. There's a theory that Revan was a mandalorian himself or at least his mother was. That mask he wears actually belong to his mother, and that's why when he picked it up he had a force vision of her death. I kinda like the idea myself. When I heard about darksaber and the mandalorian jedi I thought they're were making Revan canon. Wasted opportunity!

The helmet belonged to a mandalorian that tried to reason with Cassus Fett regarding the genocide of the Cathar. In response, Cassus Fett killed her and the Cathar. Revan found and took the helmet as a symbol, wearing it constantly. Its implied he wore it to mock the Mandalorians. Hilversumborn, While Revan was the tactician and warrior that was respected, Meetra was the one that actually decimated the Mandalorians just in sheer numbers due to the Mass Shadow Generator used at Malachor V. Malak was known to be brutal on the battlefield against the Mandalorians and was the first to follow Revan against them while trying to bring the other Jedi into the war.

I don't like the "canon" view of mandalorians. In "legends" its stated that anyone can be a mandalorian, it's a way of life, a creed to follow, not a race of people. They explain a lot of this and even introduce a lot of other very interesting races and ways of life in the legacy of the force series of books. They are, in my opinion, a perfect continuation of the star wars movies and it's a shame that it is ignored so much and shoved aside as "non-canon" by the people writing for star wars now.
