You are playing one of the best Chun Li players out there, you have 1 health, chip kills in this game, Chun super hits 10+ times and has an awkeard timing, every single hit can kill you if you mess up even one parry, but you need to parry all the hits to maximize damage, not to mention he last hit is an air parry. Then he hits that sweet 40% combo for the win without missing a beat.
He did it because it can cause input delay or frame issues, dont remember what it actually was. He wanted to manipulate the game, not distracting daigo...
In Justin's channel people tries to Daigo parry him all the time and sometimes they succeed but ALWAYS someone comments: LET'S GO JUSTIN!. It's hilarious.
To explain, Ken's action at the end is called "JUST GUARD." If you push the lever forward accurately to the opponent's offensive timing, you can defend perfectly without damaging the guard. However, if you fail even once, you lose right away. Since KEN has no stamina, CHUN-LI thought of winning with guard damage even if he played guard using his lethal weapon, but he completely blocked the KEN lethal weapon with JUST GUARD and connected it with a combo from the jump kick, resulting in a come-from-behind victory in which the opponent's gauge was completely exhausted.
Justin couldn't believe what was happening till it was already half way done. By that point he just started mashing away at his buttons in sheer disbelief. This is one of those moments which both men will pass down throughout their generations.
There are so many small details in this moment that really adds to it. Like Justin Wong attempting to distract Daigo by mashing his buttons, the "Let's go Justin", and the intensity of the screams.
It's been so long and this video still gets my blood pumping, it will never not be impressive. Anyone who played this game knows how hard that was and in the moment of an evo is absolutely legendary to the highest degree.
