Thanks for the post, Nick. 👍 I never get tired of your coast fishing videos. Of all youtubers, you inspire me most to start fishing. And Rokkit most to start kayak(fish)ing. I do neither... yet. Thank you!
Ahhhhhh.... thanks for posting this, Nick! Searun cutthroat fishing has been utterly demoralizing so far, so this is the perfect motivation to get me to switch gears back to the salt.
Nice Nick! I was just out at Barview pulling in Greenling, tossing ghost shrimp at slack tide. So much fun! I should have tossed some plastics for the rock fish, but I was exhausted after digging clams all morning! Thanks for the great video!
I found your channel tonight. In a year, my family and I will be moving to Oregon, and I want to get an idea of what the fishing is like there. I think I will be enjoying it. I never caught a Rockfish from the coastal rocks here, just Surf Perch. I'm a photographer, and I know the PNW will be giving me many opportunities in both camera and fishing. I've caught bigger fish including a 50 pound Halibut on boats. I like your content and your excitement for fishing. I will enjoy this channel.
Hey Nick. I watched your video and bought some of your spinners. Love you video. Questions for you. How heavy is your Spoiler shad? I really want to know how heavy do you use similar bait whether Spoiler shad, Wild Eye for jetty fishing.
How far out on the jetty do you usually walk/what do kind of conditions do you look for? I've been trying jetty fishing on the WA side in Ilwaco with no luck.
I have gotten them off the cape disappointment jetty, but I hate that one. its so sketchy scaling up and down it. very large steep and sharp. haven't tried Westport or the oregon ones yet. how is westport?
I went out to fish around Pirate Cove today and caught two small kelp greenling and about four thousand rocks and barnacles. I lost a ton of gear and wasted a lot of bait... what a pisser. I did see a bunch of whales just off shore; a great sight for sure, but I was sure disappointed with my first experience fishing the ocean. I will definitely be looking for a better location to fish next time. I have really enjoyed your videos. Maybe one day I'll catch a few big ones. I hope so!
Hey man I’m at the coast right now might do some rockfish fishing off the jetty in a couple days and was wondering what time is better to fish. Out going or incoming tide? Or high or low tide? I’m more of a freshwater guy and just thought I would ask. Epic video and great fish!
hello----i was wondering ,i am just learning to fish from jettys--QUESTION--do you prefer incoming or out going tide --or that period of slack time. ty for what you do,i have learned a lot from you
After watching that last video, I went and bought a couple of packs of Storms. First cast I caught a 17” Cabezon! Goes to show that fish don’t look at a price tag before they slam a swimbait.
That Jetty has been treated me terribly this year. Only caught a 15 inch ling and a kelp greenling, and hear you are catching all the fish that are in that jetty haha. Nice fish and great video as always. How has your company been going?
Hey, are you a VET and interested in taking out another VET? I know you like to fish alone, but 1 trip would make a world of difference to me. I'm fully functional. Just can't get out much. I would appreciate it. I'll pay for gas.
Omg, I almost fell asleep to the ocean sound, it's so peaceful, and then heard, "got one!" Nick get outta my room bro! 😂😂
Hell yeah watching this before fishing tomorrow
also getting pumped up before hitting bar-view again----

Another brilliant video Pal. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences with the world..
Nick, its always nice watching your shows. I have got to try this but my knees hurt just watching you climb all over those rocks. Tight Line my friend
Ding Lings adding a little excitement to the day. Nice day of fishing.

Joe Bob, Mark 22" on your rod handle. That way you can ball park a measurement. Cast out small ling and hang on !

Have u tried westport jetty
@@semperhigh0311 that’s the first jetty that I tried. It’s a bit far for me though.
I have gotten them off the cape disappointment jetty, but I hate that one. its so sketchy scaling up and down it. very large steep and sharp. haven't tried Westport or the oregon ones yet. how is westport?
I caught a steelhead using a storm bait while I was fishing for pike minnows.

Need another catch and cook!! I dig your vids man and one day ill see you down at the jetty and have a convo. Love fishing there for fish taco meat!!

ty for what you do,i have learned a lot from you
Any certain spot better than others in barview or just anywhere on the jetty will catch fish
How often are you getting snagged using the swim baits? I can see how the weedless setup would help with that.
Sometimes when I’m getting skunked on the jetty I wistfully watch this video
Lucky!
Does a black bass need to be 12” in order to keep?
After watching that last video, I went and bought a couple of packs of Storms. First cast I caught a 17” Cabezon! Goes to show that fish don’t look at a price tag before they slam a swimbait.
What weight jig head do you recommend out there?
What kind of bait caster reel? Do you like it better than your Ceymar spinner for jetty/rocks?

Jetty treats me the same lately, been out twice in the last week without even a bite.
How you guy work these swimbait, just let it sink and reel it in or jig it?
What size line do you use on the Jetty and rocks?
How often are you out fishing I'd like to learn a thing or two from the man the mith the legend.
Tons of content on jetty fishing rockfish and lings what's the story on salmon fishing jettys is that dead or what?
Is this at Newport?
Looks like you found the ling nursery lol.
What pound test is that?
Sheesh! Biggens was catching some hogs today and yesterday not much like the ones you catch though any
What rod spec is that?
I was on charter boat yesterday wish I fish hear instead
Hey what jetty should I fish off of?
Barview jetty in the tillamook bay, have always had good luck there two hours before and after high tide with camo and red sandworms on a surf rig
Hey, are you a VET and interested in taking out another VET? I know you like to fish alone, but 1 trip would make a world of difference to me. I'm fully functional. Just can't get out much. I would appreciate it. I'll pay for gas.
Yo any one at the jetty this weekend or now lol ? Need help fishing it
Are you at the mouth of siuslaw?
What is your favorite time of tide to fish the jetties?
What you need to do is measure out 22 inches with duct tape on your pole like I did if you forget your measuring tape
i have this old school sticker measuring tape taped onto my rod...no fussing for a tape anymore
Great suggestion!
That’s a great idea! I usually paint lines on my rod with model paint, but that’s more complicated than tape.
What time of year is this?
