- This Terraria setup makes health regeneration instant… Crimson Armour, Band of Regeneration, Shiny Stone and the Celestial Shell. In this video, I take a look at the absolute faster health regeneration in the game that can practically make health regen instantaneously. This involves collecting a ton of different early to late hardmode accessories and items that increase health regen per second rate... you should give it a try!

Although this can be hilariously busted, max dodge will always win over any defensive stat imo

Max dodge truly is better I had hallow armour brain of confusion and cross necklace it helped me beat skeletron prime which is really annoying to fight

Crimson armor is such a good armor set. It’s really amazing to me how much of a discrepancy there is between it and shadow armor.
Like, on one hand you have a mediocre melee set that gets immediately outclassed by molten armor, and on the other you have _the highest passive regeneration in the entire game._
But “passive regeneration” with little to no defense usually sucks unless you have that slime invincibility frame thing

You can partially submerge furniture in honey so you can sit _and_ get the honey buff, but I can't remember if honey turns you into your merfolk form or not.

I like to use regen accessories in my spare slots in the max dodge setup to quickly get back what little I might lose

I would do something like that, but in the heat of battle I just don't remember. It's like the old Charm of Myths trick: it's a great idea, but I never do it because I can't remember it in the heat of battle.

@~Enderpuff You can equip hallowed armor just to activate the set bonus and then switch back to crimson (Autopause is great for doing this).

I think the regen setup is viable in expert mode as long as you optimize defense as well. I was able to tank expert plantera using turtle armor, a lot of regen and buffs, and the sergeant united shield

I feel like the harpoon and the anchor deserve a video, one time when I was doing a goblin invasion and decided to actually use the harpoon during it, only to find out that, as long as you don't miss, the harpoon excels at crowd control at close range due to its fire rate and knockback.
In fact... there are plenty undervalued weapons in the game!

Awesome video! Could you maybe consider making a video on the hellwing bow? I feel like its very underrated, and makes pre hardmode bosses a cake walk WOF included.
I can see this being very good in the labor of love update adding item loadouts allowing the player to switch between their damage set and their regen set in a pinch or after a fight
Was on the Terraria wiki like just a minute ago and it states that the Charm of Myths and the Band of Regeneration don't stack with the increased regen, thought I would point this out but great video as always 👍
They do tho. Not once is it mentioned on the wiki that they don't.

I would look at the Shadow Flame Hex Doll it's super underrated I don't even know how bad it is, I haven't used it in so long
I used it for twins and prime my first playthrough, and would love to see this!
The 'previous' is still arguably the best since the extra defence is insane. You don't need to regen that much if you take that much less dmg.
regen is a good supplement to any build. as someone who dodges attacks by hand and usually doesnt go very defensive at all, a single band of regen and some buffs can turn what would be a bloodbath into something safe and stress free

You should make a video about the stellar tune, the guitar drop from empress of light. Imo it's the best post plantera magic weapon (Large range, homing, goes through walls, fast fire rate, high crit chance)
The best thing is in the new update with load outs we can swap to this and regen a lot while still having our other builds
Dodging will always be better than anything as if your lucky enough you can never take damage
the point is
im so unlucky i was fighting DoG on calamity and when the boss was going to my ass (i was falling on the blue sky) it stopped right at my face (i hit the ground) and INSTANTLY the sky became purple
@@Malam_NightYoru Calamity nerfed dodge hard, they are now guaranteed after some time have passed (usually 90-120 seconds)

For 1.4.4, you can use the Vital Crystal too. Not sure about any other changes.
I'm glad that it became possible to have a 3 set build, because you don't have to take up 9 inventory slots to quickly heal in an emergency

I think a lot of the cheese against moonlord was put to an end after the update that allows his head beam to phase through blocks. Before that this set-up was valid for expert mode
I'd say this is a next best set to have before working towards the max dodge

Also, don't forget about palladium armor set, it greatly increases the life regeneration to the player.
Greatly paired with defensive modifiers in accessories. Although, even players needs regeneration, they still need to be tanky. Regeneration alone will not help.
But, if you're a summoner class, regeneration is needed, since that specific class has less defense and they only need to dodge while attacking.

I did a mobility-dodge setup for all of master hard mode right up til moonlord. It wasnt enough to deal with him, since a single mistake would kill me.
I then switched to an I-frame build and abused the moonlord hand contact damage, which is a lot lower than his attacks.
Stinger necklace is a total bonus, u get jit but also get doused in honey
Now that we are in 1.4.4 you are able to make it even more crazy

Regen shmegen. Use those slime statues you showed at the beginning. Hook them up to a training dummy on a teleporter inside of a small box and put 1 crow summon in there with it. Leads to extremely rapid kills spawning regen stars and hearts as fast as you can use them. Just gotta make sure to pick them all up because a limited number can be spawned in a world at once

you were about to convince me enough to go do calamitas (true final calamity mod boss) with this setup
you can also throw a crystal heart, food item, and other related items into shimmer which will give permanent buffs
Imagine having both dodge and regen gosh id love that to be a thing
You can also use the sweethearts added bonus if you cant constantly go back and stay in honey

My fav 'build' is the 'get the best i-frame items in calamity, slap them on, get the best summons and a whip and gun down event bosses while standing still, getting i-frames for days while dealing crazy deeps and when bosses die you get healed' build. Did this yesterday on the post DoG moons. i was immortal.
And combined with the Vital Crystal and Aegis Fruit, it gets even better.

regen is somewhat limited in that it's rate scales down based on how much health you have lost rather than just linearly

You could also use statue spawns to get regen from vampire knives
You can also use a get an ohter band of regen with the band of mana

Correct me if I am wrong, but I remeber nerfing the band of regen paired with charm of myths to not stack anymore. This also applies to the celestial stone family of items.

Looks good, how does it perform vs duke fishron (any difficulty, but prefer master for stress testing setups like this) with only items available before battling mechanical bosses?
Not too good, but i like your way of thinking. A proper stress test at a reasonable point in game and not end game.
band of regen doesn't even stack with charm of myth, shiny stone and celestial shell requires golem, the celestial stone needs eclipse. There's not much success to be had, but you still can mix it with max dodge chance, damage reduction and defense for the optimal tank build. These are more forgiving and can be obtained earlier, becoming a somewhat viable strategy in an actual run
you should also use a life drain or vampire knives
High regen combo'd with mobility is best because you'll heal up quickly from the occasional hit, not all of us are pros at dodging attacks after all

Yeah, I use the crimson helmet with some black dye or other as a cosmetic item.
I think the old life regeneration setup was stronger than max dodge chance however now after the nerf dodge is better
what mod are you using for the crazy attack speed at the end of the vid?
could i ask what font (or fonts) you use for your text pop ups and such?
Perhaps, by adding a star veil, to increase your invincibility duration can I help you to lower the incoming damage

If you throw a heart of the jungle and a heart crystal you get permanent heath regen buffs
You could also add the honey comb (I think it’s the honey comb) to add the honey effect when taking damage
Crimson armour and palladium ->always takes me to golemn
And now we have the vital crystal aswell!
Maybe max regen isn’t the best way to go, but I found just the regen items with the Valhalla set made me literally invincible, took out the moon lord on expert easily with it.
I wouldn't say that it's literally instant, but yeah, I love using the Crimtane armor as well.
combine this with the nebula regen buff and you are a borderline god
This is even more powerful with the new update because you can put a life crystal in shimmer to get more Regen permanently lol
And in the new update you could use the shimmer version of the life crystal
Watch gungir's video. the Valhalla knight chest plate and helmet give more life regeneration than that. Even palladium armor would be a better choice due to its higher defense.

We pair this with Vampire Knives (if you’re going melee) or with Life Drain (if you’re going mage)

Crimson Armor has low defense, I think it is better to sacrifice regeneration to use beetle armor (use beetle shell)
